  1. Colts need to make a move to get the attention back to the team instead of Irsays actions.  It would have to be a high profile move.

Colts front office just need to focus on what the team needs and implement the plans they are working on.   Irsay news will slowly die down and with luck he will step back from the stress of the off season and take care of what is truly important, and that is his health and well being.  That will move the organization forward again as far as ownership and front office.   The team will do their job and focus and what needs to be done on the field.

  2. Shocked like  most by this occurance.   First instinct is outrage and disgust that he would do such a thing.   However,  don't like to jump to conclusions and judge someone without all the facts and information.  Glad that he was stopped and no one was hurt or injured.   Sure that more details will be coming out later today/tomorrow.   He hasn't looked well for quite some time and none of us know the pressures and issues in his personal life.   Hopefully he steps back and takes the steps needed to get himself back on track and well.

    • $6+ million AAV (annual average value), 3+ years guaranteed money = A
    • $2-6 million AAV, 2 years or fewer guaranteed money = B
    • $2 million or less AAV, 2 years or fewer guaranteed money = C
    • Minimum salary, 1 year contract = D

Grades are based what he thinks their new offer or contract will turn out to be,  not necessarily on the players actually ability.  Past play and injuries and such all play into the grade.

  3. I don't think he is worth the amount he wants this early in his career.   Wants the money the top QBs are making that have been around a number of years and proven their worth over the long haul,  Manning, Brady, Brees.    Romo???????   don't see why they put out that amount of money for him and now they want to scale it back because of the cap.   Unfortunately the niners will feel trapped into keeping him and unfortunately pay it .   The teams go all out with these big paychecks for a few players and then wonder why they are in cap trouble,  and they just keep propogating their own problem and sinking further into the muck.

  4. Apparently there has been a deal on the table for quite some time. Irsay wanted Pat to sign the contract when he was a guest on Pat's show and Pat nervously laughed, but did not say anything positive. I think the Colts want to keep Pat more than he wants to stay.

I have been getting the same feeling as you have.  Listen to Bob And Tom on radio most mornings and Pat is frequent guest now in offseason,  there every Tues during the season.   Bob has expressed numerous times they want a petition to keep Pat with the 'Colts,  but Pat never replies to this or makes any indication he desires to stay with the team.

Would love to see him stay , good player, teammate, and active in the community.   Time and money will tell though.

  5. First of all I wish to thank all those who participated in the challenge this year and hope you enjoyed playing.   Some dropped off along the way, but that happens as life brings challenges and such into our lives.

Second I apologize for not posting this a couple days sooner.  Have been putting in a lot of work hours this week,  also hiding in the corner sobbing from SheColt whipping my butt again this year.

Top ten results,  some forgot to pick during playoffs, but fewer games that wouldn't make a big difference.

    Shecolt      169 points

BrentMc11   165    ( our favorite, "I can't get into yahoo to pick"  player,   Had to manually add in a couple weeks for him

    Bob (coltman)  161

    Allyouneedisluck  161

  6. Would like to see him resigned and come back,  but sure he is going to test the waters to see what kind of money he will get.  He was 3rd on depth chart till Ballard went down, then Bradshaw goes down, (  problem with running backs with last name starting with B?).  Now you have the Colts locked into Richardson and Ballard coming back,  does he really want to be a number 3 back if he has better options?  I wish him all the luck for him and his family and hope it works out that he is back with the Colts somehow.  They could franchise tag him as a safety net to keep him around in case the others don't improve,  but very rare that a running back gets a tag.

  7. Sorry we haven't kept up a thread here,  but I want to thank all who participated and hung in there.

We still have Playoff games to pick for so don't forget to log in and make your picks.  Appears that Shecolt has done us all in, great job.

Super congrats again to Mac for a perfect score back in week 2.   As you probably know, Brent has had Yahoo issues which we have tried to keep up with.  Two weeks ago we both goofed up and his picks didn't get in,  he had a score of 12 that week.  His total score now is 156 which puts him in 3rd place.

Great job and fun one and all.  I will do it again next year and hope all participate again.

    Bob

  8. I was not a fan of this trade when first announced and certainly not a fan at this time after his lack of performance.   Still think though that it may be too soon to pull the trigger and just cut him loose.  I believe he has another year on contract,  so let's ride out the year and go through off season drills and next years camp.  I am glad that they finally owned up to his lackluster performance and took him off the starting spot on the rotation.   This position is a need and our luck( no pun or reference intended) has been terrible.

    Ballard- hurt and out

Bradshaw-  hurt and out , no idea of his potential and ability now,  will we bring him back

    TRich-  lackluster performance

Boom Herron-  one week or maybe two and out injured.

WE NEED A GOOD OFFENSIVE LINE TO GIVE US A CHANCE AND KEEP LUCK UPRIGHT AND HOLES FOR RB'S.   They won't get rid of Mcglynn,  don't see them cutting Trich.
