  1. I was at LOS last summer when they did practice there the one day.  Watched Pat putting them through the uprights at 45 yds,  50 yeds, and 60 yds.   Of course no pressure of guys charging at you,  but he has the leg and aim.  Has been working with Vinateri on regular basis

Sure we seen Pat can boom it, but how accurate is he? The Boomers are punters, and the accurate guys are kickers.

He still knows the plan for the players he drafted.

  2. Looking at all the restrictions the league has put on this " pre free agency' there won't be any signings unless it is with our own players that are about to become free agents.   They can contact agents but can do terms, money, committments, offers , or much of anything really.   Really kind of a bogus setup,  might as well have just left it alone till Tues.  Only thing it might achieve is letting agents possibly know what teams might have some kind of interest in their people.

  3. I would like to see Karim and Butler resigned.  Don't care if the rest go free, but won't object if the coaches think someone is worth holding onto and aren't a lot of money.

Don't want Powers back because of all his injuries,  though will be surprised if they don't resign him,  hopefully with a stay healthy clause in the contract.

  4. .....I think this is a fine move...and he should be OK with it....

Folks..Vinatieri's going to kick for us until he's 45...both are now signed..

    .....we dont have kicking problems.....

now the big issue..Did that cheerleader Megan's hair ever grow back..?

    That girl needed her hair

Megan is super hot with or without the hair.   Should be in to some degreee by now though.   Colts Forum should contact her and do an update.

  5. We definitely have more holes and needs than we have picks available.  Have faith that Grigson will grab some quality Free Agents or some undrafted players at the conclusion of the draft.

  6. My picks of players to keep:

    Shipley-  for depth

    Butler

    Moala

    Mcafee

Karim- at least for returns,   maybe Hester leaves Chicago and we pick him up??

    Linkenbach - for depth

    Not interested in:

Avery-  I like him and glad he was on team this year,  but issue is all the drops he had.  This maybe could improve with more time and practice with Luck and O-line giving time for plays to mature and through.

Powers-  just too many injuries,  last 3 seasons ended on IR.   How many times have we gone down this slippery slope before?

    All this just IMO.

  7. I could cut mine down.....but I might punch myself when a man goes down to injury.  I think if we were in a room dicing through film, we could cut it to zero  :funny: Isn't that what the GMs/Owners do with coaches on Black Monday? :)

As long as we order a big order of Nachos and drinks I am ready to participate.

  8. I have seen a lot of folks saying they would only sign 4 of our free agents...I have seen some say 11.....I picked out 10 I would consider re-upping....I want to see what everyone thinks....Let me know it this is off base with the thread FX....it is yours Sir!!!   :)

I have gone through list and would say 7 I would definitely like to see come back and resigned.

  9. Maybe the eagles resign him for less money. It seems chip Kelly would want him more than most

He has stated he won't renegotiate his contract.  I personally wouldn't pick him up, but sure that some team will.  I would be hesitant to sign him as my starter with limited future and not sure how susceptible he is to being a backup.

  10. Possibly one player,  not so sure that we will be stretching and trying to fill in spots with aging/aged players as much as we did last year.

Have cap space and room to manuever this year that we didn't last year.  However anyone he and Grigson pick,  I will assume that they have talent and merit till proven otherwise.

Only watched bits and pieces of the Super Bowl,  was busy watching the reairing of the first season of the Walking Dead

  11. Very nice post.  I usually do not get into the Patriot arguments unless a fan is totally unreasonable or simply acting troll-icious (new scrabble word :))

Hey my friend,  will award you triple points for that word.

GoPats-  sorry for your accident and hope the recovery is swift and complete.

No other comments here as this thread just got toooooo ugly way to fast.

  12. QB, P... that's it (as far as absolutes go)

we don't need a TE either, but stranger things have happened...

With strange things,  there is another TE in the draft this year from Stanford,  misplaced his name at the moment.   Only kidding, don't feel we need to look at that area yet.

The only thing  IMO we need to address on the offensive side of the ball is the line,  rest of the offense shows talent and capability while some are still young and rookies obviously.  If this year doesn't improve with certain players,  then we should address that with draft and FA next year possibly,  just get the O-line tuff to keep all the other teams off of Luck and have time to make the plays.  Possibly RB next year as well, though not worried about that at this time.

Obviously the D needs some major fixes with talent and healthy players.

I feel sure the Pat McAfee will be back with us,  he has a desire to be the first NFL player to do all three functions,  kick off, punts, and field goal. ; If Adam retires next year or they decide to cut him for whatever cause,  a backup would be needed in one position or the other.

  13. Be interesting to see what the off season does for Jeff,  he got benched at the last of the season.  Would love to see him on our sidelines if that is where his interests lie.

BB did come out and give the interview afterwords.   Don't see the point of fine or all the hoopla and fuss over this.  These intereviews on either side either win or lose.  There are no new perspectives and the press/media ask the same questions over and over with no meaning to the whole deals.  Personally don't bother to watch any of these with the winners or losers.  JMO
