Nice to see you posting again. I don't do FF at all, but thanks for the update my friend.
not a true Fantasy Football my friend as in picking teams and such. More picking the winners of all the NFL games on weekly basis.
Welcome to join, but understand if not interested as well.
Haven't really had anything to post or say that would have been important. do log in daily and check through some of the posts.

Way too early for this as hasn't been opened or set up by Yahoo yet for the upcoming year, but bored and have to post something.
I will set these two competitions up again this year for all that want to join and participate. As soon as the league is set up, I will post the information for logging in and signing up. Hope to see all from last year and many more.

No I would not sign him at this time. That is past and unfortunately done. I would rather see him retire, then hire in as an assistant WR coach to mentor and work with these young guys

My spot in the league as Coltman51 is available to anyone wishing to join in. I am dropping out of this league, enjoyed but kind of fantasied myself out last year with teams in eight leagues. Need to cut back somewhere, did poorly in this league both years and don't enjoy the Yahoo Fantasy as much as others.

Sad like all that Reggie is gone, but it was expected with age and injuries and needing young players for the push to the SB. Seems like just yesterday that we went through this painful scenario with Marvin. Think it was good for the Colts to announce it now to allow Reggie to know his position and have more time to explore his options before Free Agency actually starts next week. If he isn't picked up by another team, there is always the possibility them bring him back during the season if needed. Not sure that he can even sign with anyone till he passes through physical after recent surgery and released to play.
Good luck to a great player and even greater human being whatever he decides to pursue.

So you really think the Colts are going to eat over 3 million dollars?
Why not? does it make a difference whether you keep him and pay him 3 million to be third string and sit on the bench, or just pay him the 3 million and cut him and free up the roster spot for a player that may perform?

It is clearly a rule for the NFL and was most definitely flagrant enough to be observed and therefor called. On the whole I don't like the rule, these are grown men, are we afraid someone is going to hurt their feelings and make them run off the field in tears? Don't like the rule and feel it is unnecessary, but as long as it is there the refs will and should all as they deem necessary

What a disastrous Week 4. My congrats to the ladies with some good scores. Can't believe I only picked 4 games right. this is obviously ( I surely hope ) my low score that gets dropped. Have pulled out the bones, Tarot Cards, Crystal Ball, Ouija Board, and a few prayers for this week.

With the extension of Mathis this morning and some of the other moves this week, a few questions came to my mind that I don't know the answers to. Don't necessarily have an opinion yet but would appreciate some input from the "experts" here.
1. When a player goes onto the IR due to an injury and misses most or all of the season, does his compensation get reduced based on wording or rules in the contract. Or do they continue to receive their full contract value? Workmans comp?
2. If a player is cut from the active roster and placed on the practice squad is that players pay reduced, and on the flip side if a player is activated from the practice squad to the active roster does their pay increase?
3. I believe that players that are suspended lose their paychecks for duration of the suspension. True or false.?
These popped into my head this morning and any enlightenment would be appreciated. Have a great day to all on the forum.

WOW, a crazy week to start off the season, but everyone up and running. Don't forget that the weekly pics start with the Thursday night game.
Happy to say I am in the lead by one game to start off the season, but sure that won't last for long with the competition here.
Get those pics in for week 2.

I have a team in Yahoo, ESPN, and NFL. Have been in all three multiple years and they all seem to run about the same to me. Each has different little things, but don't really prefer one over the other. NFL does have some access to more stats and number predictions for your team than the others do or at least more readily viewable.
Drafting pretty much the same in all.

no one has been kicked out, if you were registered in and then dropped it was a problem with Yahoo and apologize. I certainly would never drop anyone out of the league

Thanks Ray, sure didn't mean to make extra work for you. You need to stop worrying about this place and Fantasy and take care of yourself good friend. Will leave the players you readded on down on the bench till it looks like all is cleared up. If someone wants anyone on my team they can speak up. Would rather forfeit one game then have people coming back later yelling foul and unfair for any reason.

Okay, so my team all seemed to me to be what I had picked. But it seems everyone else is having issues and accusing everyone of taking players. I went in and tried to drop all of my team except the two keepers which were obviously mine. System would only let me drop half of the team as had to keep roster number.
Help yourself to any and all of them . If you see anyone left on my team that you think you should have let me know and will figure a way to drop them off. Will go back in next week and see what players I can pick back up.
