***TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT***
The St. Louis Rams have traded their No. 2 overall pick to the Miami Dolphins for the Dolphin's 2012 1st, 3rd, and 5th round picks along with their 2013 1st and 2nd round picks.
-
If you trade the Rams pick to (say) the Redskins, the Rams are picking for the Redskins, the Redskins are picking for the Rams.
So, essentially, like in a real trade, you still pick at the same spot but you pick for your trading partner. Your pick number where you pick does not change, trade or not, the team you pick for at that pick number will change only in the case of a trade.
Is that clear now?
ahh I see now thanks...well that makes things a bit easier on me
-
Let us say you trade pick No.6 for pick No.4 and 2012 3rd rounder, 2013 1st and 3rd rounder, your partner will be picking for you at No.4 and you for your trade partner will be picking at No.6. That is the only case where your pick number will technically change but you will still be picking for your trade partner at No.6 (swapping in a trade within same round, note other picks in trade example are all future picks since we are doing only 2 rounds in 2012). The other picks will remain the same unless you implement a trade for those too in similar fashion.
So, I think we are saying the same thing, are we?
So in a trade, are we trading teams or pick #s...say I trade out of the second spot to another team...would I then become that team or would I continue to be the rams in the first round...sorry just want to be clear

I've noticed Trevathan before. He looks like a starter at Will in a 4-3, but we're moving away from that brand of D.
Yea it seems that way but Burris has me intrigued as a late round guy. I just wonder if his production was partly or mostly due to his competition.
-
No comments...really?
lol well you brought Trevathan and Burris to my attention I'm starting to look up more on them now eventhough I really should go to sleep
-
Wouldn't have a problem with that at all...Coach Pagz is a players coach and on top of that a DB guy...It's a lot harder to hurt your friend than someone who is just your boss, but then again some people just don't give a (crap)
-
Although I really really really really don't want this to happen, I can see the Jags grabbing Floyd at 7 and Coples to Miami and Ingram to Buffalo.
-
I'd rather pass on him...I've never seen him play anything but a 3-4 and we are supposedly running a hybrid. Also, if we sign him, where would Conner fit in our 3-4 scheme, which could look like Freeney/Hughes, Angerer, Conner, Mathis/Wheeler. Conner could possibly take wheelers spot but that would mean we are essentially signing Farrior and letting Wheeler walk...I don't think too many people would be happy with that.
-
If I recall didn't Pagano want to retain both Freeney and Mathis?
Yea...I believe he said he wanted to keep our two "game wreckers"
-
As far as the draft picks go...love them all (except Dwight Jones) but I'm fairly certain both Hayward and Bentley will be gone by the mid third. Bradham might not make it to the fourth either because of his versatility.
As far as the pre-draft moves go though...not so much. Although I do like the signings so long as we have the space.
-
If he's cheap then why not...dude's a team player and a teacher. I know we may be going into full blown rebuilding mode if PM leaves but you still need vets on the team to mentor your incoming rooks. I love the way Ward plays maybe he would bring a bit of toughness to our offense.

I like him but I'm hoping we resign Mathis and Wheeler, we may have an over abundance of OLB's in Freeney/Mathis/Hughes/Wheeler...thats not a bad problem to have I just think Cox would be the right pick in that situation
