Well everyone thinks he's gonna cost alot. Would you consider him a mid true FA?
Asamoah got benched in favor of Schwartz last season. Schwartz is also a FA and IMO is who I would rather have. I said last offseason we should sign Schwartz but Grigson wouldn't listen to me.

Love it. More cash is always nice.

Would have been one hell of a smart move if Cleveland could have pulled it off.
-
I don't think Thomas would be able to beat out Mack at center, so we should probably leave him at guard.
I'm gonna go ahead and go on record and guarantee that we will NOT sign Mack. I'll also add that I'm 99.99% positive he'll re-sign in Cleveland.

No surprise Carr isn't throwing. Probably doesn't want people to realize how bad he is.
I'd say that may be the same reason Manziel isn't throwing. I don't know where people are getting he has a strong arm but from what I've seen of him...he don't! It might be strong on 20 yd. throws but anything beyond that...it don't look strong to me.

I told people here he wasn't nearly as tall as they had him listed at. Surprised he weighed in that heavy but he hasn't played in a while either so when he gets back in football shape he'll probably be under 200.

I want Pat to stay and think it would be worth it to pay him a fair price for a punter. Pat's a good guy, I met him a couple yrs. ago at TC. I'll never forget that my daughter and I went back a few days after we 1st met him and he remembered me and my daughter. I thought that was pretty cool with as many people as these guys meet that he actually remembered us and came up to talk to us a fews days in between first meeting him. Not many athletes or famous people in general would do that. He's a down to earth guy and is a good player. We need to keep him.

Glad to hear that. Always nice to have more cap flexibility.

Honestly, Im not sure I've ever seen a realistc trade idea on these forums. To answer the question though, no I wouldn't trade for Hill. IMO Rogers is better and is a physical freak too.

I would give up a 2nd if I were Cleveland in a flat second. He's young, has a good arm, and experience. I would take him over any QB in this draft and wouldn't even have to think about it. Cleveland already has 2 1st rders(thanks to us) so why not give up a 2nd to get your QB. Frankly Cleveland would be stupid if they aren't on the phone already trying to get this done.

Ehhh steer clear of trying to discern what I could've possibly implied and roll with what I actually typed. Otherwise someone'll come along and get their panties in a twist. Then I'll have to weed through that nonsense again. Once a week is enough for me.
Dustin, I seriously thought Mack was black! LOL
I have to admit I had no idea what the hell you were trying to say. I thought for a minute that I was confused and Mack must have been the whitest black dude I've ever seen in my life.

I don't agree with that. I remember the Colts were able to keep Jeff Saturday a few years back specifically because the salary cap was increased, thus allowing Polian the flexibility to retain him. What if another team had wanted Jeff Saturday's services? Then the cap increase would not have been such a good thing for them.
Now, imagine if, say, Cleveland is allowed to give Alex Mack a few more million then they would have had the salary cap not been increased. Then, at least this Colts fan, will be singing the blues...
Who knows if something like this would play out, though. Just sayin'....
If it allows teams to sign one of their own players then we'll just sign somebody else. Its not a big deal and IMO the chances of the Colts signing Mack is slim to none anyway. I don't even want them to sign him for the money he'll get. Centers should not be paid that much and it would be smarter to sign one of the top centers available but will be much cheaper.

He's a guest host on Bob and Tom all the time and he has said time and time again, all he wants is a fair deal for his position. He bought a house in Indy and will make Indy his home forever. Unless he wants to move back and forth from the season to the offseason it would be wise to stay with the Colts for a fair contract.

I know right? What's this new obsession with changing NFL uniforms anyway? It won't make teams play any better. How bout throwing away some hideous retro uniforms like the Steelers bumble bee prison jumpsuits & the orange Tampa Bay cream sicle uniforms forever?
It's all about money. New uniforms mean that fans have to buy the newest look and that generates income. Wouldn't bother me if the Colts done something with their uni's. I know many people are against that, but I don't see the big deal honestly. As far as Tampa's uniforms are concerned, I liked the older one's like the one posted above. A lot of people hated them and always made fun of them but I still think it's better than the hideous red and pewter one's they have now. That pewter is just God awful.

Don't want an experiment to plug in at guard. We can not take the chance that he could transition to guard and I really wish people would stop with the "he couldn't be worse than so and so" crap. Hell yes he could too. He could be much worse. Sign a proven player to play the right position.

I hope not! This will help other teams retain their star players and affect our ability to steal players away. Without a first rounder this year, we need some good FA acquisitions. Let's wait until Andrew's contract is due before the salary cap is increased!
The salary cap going up a few million dollars isn't going to affect the Colts one way or the other on who they can or can't sign. Yes it will rise some this yr. and I think it takes a huge jump next yr.. The salary cap going up is always s good thing IMO.

I don't get why some actually sound as if the stuff this guy writes, angers them. Who cares? Peyton may indeed retire if his family is telling him to hang it up. He may stay and play another yr. or 2, it wouldn't surprise me at all with either decision.
-
I don't get how he's like Skip Bayless. Bayless is clueless on pretty much everything and Nawrocki has proven to be right on quite a bit of his draft profiles. It may not be the popular opinion but it doesn't mean he's always wrong. I'm sure he's missed on some of his profile write ups but he's been right a lot too.

I laugh whenever someone types that the 2014 QB draft class is similar to '11's.
Bridgewater, Bortles, and Manziel are all better than Locker.
How could you possibly know that. I happen to agree with the scout and have said it several times. There isn't a QB in this draft that is 1st rd. worthy IMO. Bridgewater might be the best but he's highly unproven playing against weak opponents in college. Bortles I'll admit I don't know alot about and Manziel has giant bust written all over him...mainly because of immaturity and ego problems.

Corner is the Colts #1 need? Good god
This is why I don't even waste my time reading Indystar sports article's. Mike Chappell(who is supposedly the Colts beat reporter and an insider) is completely clueless to what the Colts needs are. I heard him say the other day that he was a big fan of offense and the Colts #1 need was WR. He sounds like a typical fan that must frequent this forum. I know Chappell didn't write this but it just goes to show that none of them with Indystar know anything.

The amount of whinnying we do over a Coach coming off an 11-5 season, a division title, and a playoff victory with a team in it's second year of almost complete rebuilding is laughable.
The word "we" should not be used. It is a "few" very unintelligent and uninformed goofballs that really need to get a better understanding of football before posting such ridiculous nonsense over and over. These goofs that want Pagano gone need to grow up and come to terms with the fact that he has done a very good job and he is not going anywhere. Pagano has at the very least 2 more yrs. here if he chooses to and his health stays good. If things have completely fell apart in that time then it may be time to look elsewhere, but constantly saying he should be fired now is beyond ignorant.
-
I wouldn't bring him back and I highly doubt Grigs does either. Way to injury prone. Good runner when healthy but is hardly ever healthy so whats the point. Fix the o-line and thats all that matters. RB's are a dime a dozen and whoever we sign or draft will be the 3rd string RB anyway.
-
Pure unadulterated nonsense! Im being as kind as possible about this. Not sure how anybody could take anything from this unless they are as ridiculous as this so called article is.

Just read 20 some odd pages of this report and I can see that Martin must just be an all around nice kid that just wants to fit in. I sort of feel sorry for him not to be able to stand up for himself because its just not in his make up. As bad as I feel for him though, I really hope that the Colts do not entertain the idea of signing him. I really think he just needs to find a new career and put football behind him. His personality just isn't suitable for professional football. Once other players see this, they will do and say anything to get in his head and from the sound of it, it will not be that hard to accomplish. If he was part of my family, I would tell him to move on from football and find something else that will make him happy and can put him around others that will respect him for being the person that he is.
Chuck Pagano: If he can help us win games, he's more than welcome.

It's amazing how admiting he's gay that all of a sudden this guy's stock has taken a huge jump. Before his admission, nobody knew who this kid was and those who did didn't think much of his ability at the next level. I had no idea that being gay made your football skills that much better.(sarcasm)
