I think opinions are great and are what make up a good message board.
On the other hand, to side somewhat with the OP, a lot of fans have a style of stating their opinion as indisputable fact, instead of merely opinion. "The Colts are doing this wrong, the Colts are doing that wrong", etc., without anything close to language that resembles opinion. Especially in situations where the it's not clear from the knowledge we have as fans.
All posts are from opinion, and that is the only fact that will ever be stated

I continue to read stuff here about how the Colts should do this, or have done that, or fired this guy or signed that guy. And yes I understand as Fans we 'think' we know it all or at least more then those in charge. But isn't it easy for us to sit here and critique the team without having full knowledge of what is actually happening?
I will tell you what.

Are you a brewer? Then don't critique any beer you drink
Are you a professional driver? Then don't complain about anyone's driving.
Are you a web developer? Then don't critique the way any web site works
Are you a designer? Then don't complain about something looking Ugly.

If anyone watched that game last night and came away thinking Painter is a NFL QB wasn't watching ESPN last night. This season is lost, go with Collins maybe pick up a win or so then go draft Luck and have that position set for next decade or longer.

He played better last night than Collins has all season. He missed some passes same as Collins, but he completed throws while not being able to step into them because the defense was all around him.
Curtis Painter gives this team the best chance to win, albeit it is only slightly better than Collins but it is still better.
The offense looked and was more the Colts tempo and not the kiddie version of the Colts offense that Collins has been running all season.

Than maybe this defense is different and they are still making next to nothing.

Couldn't have said it better hawkeyes, when he gets any time, he will make a play, when he feels like he has to force it out because of pressure he is just like any quarterback in this league.

But really if either Hughes or Pitcock turns into the player we hoped we were getting this defense is much better. specifically Pitcock.

go back and watch some games. Have you ever seen Brackett play that far off? Unless it's prevent defense no you haven't. That's what I based it off of. I know it's out of tune right now to point out that Angerer isn't perfect and that there might have been a reason that Brackett was starting at MLB over him but his pass defense is why and tonight you saw Angerer exposed on it. It doesn't mean Angerer isn't a good a player it's just an area he needs to work on.
I agree that he needs to work on it but the thing that Gary did better than anyone was the pre snap run back. 1 second before the snap Gary would go from 7 yards back to 11-12 yards back real fast.
Angerer was not perfect but the fact of the matter is, Coyer needs to adjust his defense to the personnel we have and we do not have the personnel to play the Tampa 2. heck, I am not really sure if anyone wants to play the Tampa 2 anymore. It is old and the wholes have been found, unless it is played perfect it will be exploited.

They just can't stop the run to save their lives, how many guys were on that RB on that 3rd down play...3...4..5?? If someone on the D knew how to tackle it wouldn't have been 4th and inches. Caldwell is a horrible coach I hope and pray he gets the boot after this season.
With Nevis and Foster rotating in they would have been fresher. I mean they finished that game with 1 DT able to still play. Not saying it makes a huge difference but it definitely could have. Nevis was having a game.

because the coaches pulled Pat back because he got burned last week from being up. Brackett would have in all likely hood been closer to the line.
No way, much easier to run forward than to run back.

If Painter had been starting all year, I think we are 2-2 at worse right now.
I can somewhat agree with this. Painter proved he should be starting over Collins.

Also you are seeing the Bucs attacking Angerer's pass defense. This is where we miss Brackett.

You dont measure the quality of your coaches when you have all studs - you measure their quality when you dont!
Then by that measuring stick we don't have good ones.

Too early for that ... lot of 0-4 teams right now, and this Colts Team is improving best we looked on Offense all year despite some bad pass protection. If our D played tonight like they did last week - we win this one 42-3!
If we gave Painter any time we win this game.

Really? I can point to two games this year where good solid coaching could have saved wins for us. We will never know how much influence Peyton had on this team when he is in there, we only have 5 games to go on when he is not. And guess what? Peyton covered up deficiencies in the defense and yes with the coaches as well. Good coaching could have won us the KC and the TB games. Bad coaching was clearly on display.
