The only thing I feel that can stop us on Offense from where I sit is penalties and turnovers.  The O line must protect 12 long enough so that Luck isn't pressured into interceptions or scrambling induced fumbles, and the RB's can't put it on the ground either; notably in the Red Zone.  Of course, in protecting 12, the O line can't have drive killing holding penalties either.

Defense, not so sure what to expect there. But the bar isn't set all that high at this moment.

We are just fine.  Thornton is gone... :)

I do not get the love for Okine.  Granted I didn't watch every preseason game, but I did watch the Eagles game...the one that mattered...and didn't see Okine do much of anything that game.  Not saying he's terrible or anything, but didn't see anything remotely special either.

He did not play as much in the Eagles game, which 'could' have the feeling that he had already made the team.

He pressured very well too...270.  Believe me...I love NOBODY....:lecture::)

LOL!  I actually think Tolzien is better than Curtis,  he just looks real goofy so mentally you're trying to digest that.  If he makes a bad play then it gets magnified even more.  If Morris makes it to the PS, which I think he will then we'll at least have some leverage to replace Shakey T!  Might have to deal with him for a game, but we can call Mr. Morris up real quick to take over going forward.

Shakey T is really funny when someone else writes it.  HA HA!!!

He looks more like a SAM than a RUSH to me.

He has been a pass rush specialist, and the Jags wanted him to start dropping into coverage more this year.

3.5 sacks last season  on 245 defensive plays. He played 22% of the defensive snaps last year. That's about a sack and a half per one hundred snaps, and he was only on the field to rush the passer.

Have to wonder why his production dropped off from 2014 when he had 6.5 sacks. My guess; this is probably why he is no longer a Jaguar. He likely stopped fitting in their system, so they tried to move him into a more useful role. Like we did with Okine.

We must see something in him to want to work him out.

    I don't know......

Color me stupid, but Okine played as well as anyone in preseason.  His two screw ups did, however involve him failing to set the edge for big plays.

I like our LBs.....and DL......Not liking some of these late decisions from the front office.

I understand it's a backup quarterback.. We saw how important that was last year though!

No way we should have kept Tolzien over Morris. No way. Lol

As a fan I trust the front office is trying to do what's best and what will put the Colts in the best position to win but after preseason you can't tell me that Tolzien gives the Colts a better chance to win than Morris does if or when Luck goes down.

Tolzien is kind of trash IMO. His stats are pretty awful also.

We kind of wrote the same thing at the same time. :)

  6. Morris Played soooooo much better than Tolzien it is ridiculous to have him cut in favor of him.

The kid played with poise and was not frantic with the pass rush.  Tolzien looked frantic back there.

I know we got a smelly CB and a corner that is scary.  Not looking forward to see who lines up in the secondary Sunday, and I sure hope that Andrew stays upright.  Morris could have run out of trouble......Tolzien just throws it away or into double coverage!!  That is my opinion and it counts for NOTHING :)

  7. I am a big fan.  His defenses were pretty darn good here when he was the DC.

That aside, he articulates the game so that anyone who listens..they understand the game a lot better.  Point by point, he says things so that a 5th grader understands.

He is nowhere a 'football god' but a former coach where he had what he had wherever he went.  He is a guy who would LOVE to win, but also gracious in loss.  IMO...

They have 2 options only.  A cadavor (spelling) from a dead person with his blood type or they can harvest part of his patellar tendon and use it as his ACL.  I chose the later because according to my doctor(who did Carson Palmer's knee) the patellar will grow back on its own and you can only do a cadavor once.  The recovery time for the 2nd option is a couple months longer and has a different rehab then the cadavor option but according to my doc, the patellar tendon as an ACL has a  lower re-tear percentage then a cadavor.

So if i had to guess, he's likely to chose option 2 but i have no idea to be sure

Interesting thanks!!  :)....Damn, I wanted a pig ligament.....this is genius to me....

It is a complete ACL tear and a dislocated knee. Pretty bad. However, the head trainer says there is no nerve or arterial damage. He says he should make a full recovery. Let's see what happens

I watched some of the game the other day in the new stadium.  The Vikes had me picking them in the top echelon of not just the NFL...but the entire league.  Sad for you and all Vikings fans.

Depends, he would still likely be out for the year but if its just a broken bone and no ligament/tendon damage its an easier surgery and shorter rehab. Think Paul George.

This is exactly my thoughts.  Bone heals and they went straight to the hospital...I need to read down to find out what it was.

    This.

He would probably have had several more sacks than Cole if the Browns used him correctly.

He would get 10-12 with us....I almost guarantee it.

BTW, I like the way Edwin Jackson has played more than Bates.  Okine has been a monster at times. Maggitt may hit PS, and McNary has made almost every tackle when in the game.  I hate cuts!!!!

I thought Hasselbeck looked kinda turdy after a couple games.

Because he got the poop knocked out of him.  2 of the hits should have been 15 yard penalties.  He also came back from the hospital after severe flu...and won....

I think that contributed to his 'turdiness.' :)

I agree with you. And listening to Grigs and Irsay this off season talk about the need for interior lineman, I think the organization believes so too.  It's why I don't see a OT in the first round of the draft.

Ryan Kelly in retrospect.....but this was awhile back and I just noticed. :)
