I live in Memphis now. My wife is from here and is a Titans fan. She was busy last night doing work stuff and couldn't catch the draft. I'm sitting here this morning watching some more Richardson videos. Wife comes in and ask how I thought the Colts did last night. I pointed to the video on the TV. She watches for a bit and then says "You guys are going from Matt Ryan to THAT?!?!?"

I know the Colts brass will give the usual draft time "He was always 100% our guy" lip service, but I gotta wonder... What were the percentage draft chances between AR and Levis prior to Houston jumping back up and taking Anderson, and then what were the chances after that.

Perhaps, but we really need some CBs.

Ringo for us in the second round?

Richardson's running ability alone is going to help pick up first downs and extend drives, keeping our offense on the field - something our defense sorely needs.

Ballard and Steichen went for the higher ceiling, rather than the higher floor. I love it. I trust Steichen will know how to get the best out of this kid.

I voted Jackson simply based on the logic of it. He's a veteran and former MVP. Naturally, you stand the best chance with him. But I don't see us trading for him. And I noticed Minshew wasn't on the list. He's my next logical choice. Other than that, if we turn the keys to the car over early to any of these rookies... well, I'm already resigned to the prospect of not winning much this next season. As in, not even sniffing the playoffs. I would just like to see flashes and improvement. See signs of something special developing with this team.

Yeah, we're reeeaaally thin there right now and I don't think rookies will quite fill things out, even though this is a pretty decent draft class for them.
