  1. Last year a playoff threat team, this year, they risk not to make it to the playoffs at all.

So Texan fans, what should the Texans do now?

I personally think Gary Kubiak is this close from losing the locker room, I think he should be replaced by someone like Lovie Smith.

They need to have TJ Yates start, also they need to draft a big time wide receiver next year, Andre Johnson is not getting any younger or healthier, they need someone that can draw double teams.

The Texans defense will be fine, but the offense needs to help them out, otherwise they will get blown out every game.

  2. Man, both of these guys are having a rough year...Eli just hit the record for most INT in the first 6 weeks of the season. 15 by now I believe.

It's sad to see teams like the Texans & Giants being this bad this year...

Lets not forget about them Steelers, they are doing pretty terrible too..

  3. Oh well, was worth a shot...

I guess Vellano and Tommy Kelly have to do for now, but it would be a good idea to add another guy in there.

I also think the Patriots should get a dominant defensive tackle next year in the draft that can play inside since Vince is up there in age and not sure how long he can play.

  4. I don't think they're bad - the have a good QB and are a mediocre team overall. If healthy, maybe even good.

I don't think there are many good teams in the league right now. The Broncos and Seahawks are a notch above 10ish good/decent teams, followed by a whole mess of poor teams below them. Then, below those, are the Steelers and Jaguars.

You forgot to add the Giants in the same category as the steelers and jags lol.

  5. Man, if the Falcons tank this season, I hope they trade Gonzalez to the Patriots, that guy deserves a shot at the playoffs again!

I love Tony Gonzalez, he has to be on of my top 3 tight ends of all times since I started following football in the late 90's.

  6. I watched the documentary and I have a new respect for Archie Manning...

It was an amazing story, I love ESPN and their documentaries...especially this one.

I hope they keep making these documentaries, along the 30/30 ones.

Back to topic, I think Eli did the right thing by going to Ole Miss', he took off some hear from his father and brother by going there. There was a lot of pressure on him to do well in college because of his brother in Tennessee.

I also agree with the others, I felt super bad for Cooper Manning, it would be hard for me to sit on the sidelines and watch your whole family being able to play in the pros.

  7. Man, what's with these people?

Always drinking and driving? Come on man, you making hundreds of thousands per game and you can't afford a taxi cab?

I can't believe these people get away with so much stuff...

Honestly a DUI or possession of weed should cause you to get banned from football for a year without pay, I am sure that will fix the problem.

Multiple offenders should be banned from the NFL for life, that should teach these in-greats a lesson.

  8. "Revis unhappy in TB"

Would you be? I know I wouldn't. They're awful lol..

At least Revis isn't in Oakland - then he'd know his career was in the toilet.

I disagree, Oakland is looking more like a decent team.

I think the new Oakland of 2013 will be Cleveland...lol

  9. he's MUCH better than Bradshaw and a LOT younger...he is an every down back, bradshaw has NEVER been that...and now bradshaw is older and wont be around long... Richardson is from last year's draft class, so basically the same age as Luck....isn't that the RB you want on a "rebuilding" team?   He is easily the most talented back that we have had since Edge hurt his knee.

And yes, teams have been stacking the box against Richardson in every game, because of the Browns lack of QB play...now that he's on a team with a legit QB, his numbers will only get better and better

You realize Bradshaw is only 27 right?

  10. Nice thread, glad to see your concern for the Patriots. So, what do you think about that AFC Easy division?

AFC East is still a good division.

The Bills defense looks great, same thing can be said about the Jets Defense.

Miami has always been suspect, but they are playing great on both ends of the ball so far, if they are healthy we may have 2 teams from the AFC East going to the playoffs this year.

  11. I bet Brady is still annoyed for the fact that he cut his salary to retain some of their key players such as Welker this last off season so this way he would have had a real shot at the SB again, lets face it, time is ticking for Brady.

The Denver camp is doing all the right moves this year to win the SB, just like last year because they know they have Mr. Manning at helm, and him alone always gives the team the shot to win it all.

I was sick to my stomach when I heard Wes went the Broncos, hell I could have lived if he went to any other teams other than the Broncos. It would be interesting to see Wes vs The Pats later on this season, he might torch our defense.

I am not sold on either of our receives Thomk & Dobson yet, we will see if they grow later on in the season, they haven't showed me any glimpse of greatness yet.

Players like AJ Green & Julio Jones make our rookie receives look like a high school varsity team.

With the negative stuff out of the way, thank god we had Julian last night, lets hope the guy can stay healthy throughout the season.

Honestly I think we should stop having him return punts if we are going to use him that much on offense. Let Leon Washington do that.

I hope they bring Lloyd back this season, we truly need him to get us those short yards, he always made spectacular catches while in NE near the sidelines. I think the rookies could learn a lot from him, especially Thomkins because he needs to have better control.

  12. their 2-0 bro. they'll be fine. may not win the SB but they'll go at least 10-6

2-0 vs teams that are not expected to make the playoffs this year.

The games that matter are ahead of us, CIN, ATL, NO and few others down the road.

  13. This is going to be a long season for the Patriots.

The offense looks out of sync, and I am not sure it will get any better before the ATL game in 2 weeks.

Dobson and Thompkins dropped way too many passes today for my liking.

Edelman and Amendola are the only 2 competitive receives we have on the roster excluding Gronk...

Patriots should re-sign Lloyd asap since Amendola is going to be about for 2-6 weeks. The current receiving core is not going to get it done vs teams like ATL, NO, CIN in the first half of the season...

The last few years it was out defense that was our weak spot, but this year, the tables have turned, the defense looks like it's going to be top 10.

I think it was a big mistake letting Welker walk, I think that guy had another 2-3 years left in him, plus the fact he is a durable player speaks volumes here.

I also think it was a mistake letting Woodhead go, that guy was really good with draw runs.
