  1. I just dont think you are right, Brent...

College athletes are privileged and pampered...compared to you and me

.. there wouldnt be college sports is atheltes could transfer every year and play immediately...

..and there wont be college sports if athletes are paid anything other than a small expense stipend..

Colege athletics are NOT an enormous money maker... Football pays for the other sports...

Coaches are career men and women who get what the market will bear...

......... scholarship athletes are stealing the money...and the ones who are nonscholarship that are in the vast majority

How are they stealing money? most ridiculous thing i have heard in awhile

  2. I think he stays but if not I have a couple coaches in mind I'd like for Grigson to look at and see if he can get 1 to come our way

1.Brent Pease-West Coast minded O Coordinator for Florida, formerly O Coordinator of Boise State

2.Chris Peterson, current Boise State head coach-West Coast offensive minded

    3.Robert Prince-Current O Coordinator at Boise State-West Coast O Coordinator I believe

No way Peterson leaves to take a job as a oc.

I don't think they will go with anyone with zero, or very little NFL experience

  3. San Diego will be the last HC job open and i have a feeling bill cowher might end up taking it. he has said he is interested in coming back to coach. unless AZ grabs him (which i doubt because they are really liking some DC for their HC job) san diego may end up getting him and we keep arians (im hoping)

Cowher said last week, he will not be coaching this upcoming season

  4. I was on a quick ride to get some gas and I caught a guy calling in on the NFL Network a day or two ago (Sirius) talking about Peyton. I wasn't in the car long enough to even note who the hosts were, so I can't give any details about that part of this, sorry. Maybe some of you also heard it.

He was saying that his brother is a big time neurosurgeon in St. Louis and his brother had remarked to him how "heavy, out of breath type" breathing in extremely cold air could wreak havoc on metal screws and plates in the neck. He added that when the plates and screws get really cold it could easily cause temporary numbness in the hands. With the thin air in Denver he surmised that this could possibly be even more severe of an effect than it might be in a different NFL city.

He was also commenting about the glove that Peyton has been wearing on his right hand the last couple of games. He speculated that Peyton was merely using the glove in those games as a warm-up exercise - in preparation for the upcoming game on saturday. The temperature in those games has not been extreme at all. However, last I looked game time in Denver was going to be 15 degrees and with the chill as low as 2 degrees.

The theory is that - should he start to feel some numbness - (maybe he already has) - the customized special grip on the gloves will hopefully help get him through it.

    Comment as you see fit.

Espn had s story about the glove. He has hard time gripping the ball in cold weather due to the nerves in his neck.

  5. Yeah, it was. It was where the entire circus started. "Te-bowing" started in Denver. I don't want the media nonsense that follows Tebow where ever he goes. The guy is not going to agree to play another position, he has already said that. He is under the delusion that he can play QB even though it's obvious that he can't. Tebow will be a distant memory in 2-3 yrs. after one more stupid team tries the experiment one more time and fails miserably.

I'm sure he will make a solid dancing with the stars contestant

  6. He's defintely better than a lot of guys out there, but he doesn't necessarily fit our system.

The best thing going forward would be an OC who uses a-based, spread-passing attack, deploying both quick throws from bunched sets, as well as deep throws. Can't be changing systems with Luck as the QB. Change like this is not good for a young QB.

He would be better off with a wco system. He has far more experience with that than arians system

  7. It would be interesting to have Tebow on the Colts. I would like to see him used as a TE, in a spread offense, and as backup QB to Luck. The occasional wildcat play could improve the red zone offense.

He would be a low-risk pick up. Would not cost the Colts any draft picks. He is realtively cheap, somewhere around $650k.

I'll pass on the teabow circus

  8. It was a calculated risk, one that im sure involved countless doctors, etc. He had to do a tremendous amount of rehab, no doubt about it, but it wasn't as big of a risk as people are trying to make it out to be. You just don't give a 100 million dollar contract to someone that you think isn't going to be able to heal from it. Everyone knows what kind of QB Manning is, his mind wasn't injured, so if you feel that he was going to be able to physically recover from the injury, then yes he would return to his old form because it was just a matter of arm strength, everyone else about him was the same.

The only risk they had was this seasons number. After that he has to pass a physical to receive the rest of his contract. They didn't just hand him 100 million
