If Chubb and Nelson are gone, how do you feel about Roquan at 6? I guess if he cannot play mike, he doesn't really have the positional value to go this high.
If Chubb and Nelson are both gone at 6, we trade back with Buf and take Tremaine Edumunds

Colts trade: 1st round pick 6
Bills trade: 1st round 12 and 22, 2nd round 53 and 56
-
I wouldn't be upset if we got both.

No other GM in the league can make this move. Signing an injury prone guard nobody else wants with no knees to a bargain deal like this. Truly incredible.
you sound like you need a hug

Imo taking a db at 6 won't help the team and would be a waste.
If we stay at 6 we have to draft OL or a blue chip pass rusher. Because
1)we have to protect our franchise qb first
2)even if we have a solid to great secondary, it's useless if we can't create pressure to the opposing qb. Nearly every qb will get the job done if he has 4 or 5 seconds to throw. Then even good db's are lost.
My opinion
What if Chubb, Barkley, and Nelson go top 5, and no one wants to trade up for our pick? at that point, I think Fitzpatrick may be our man

I know some on here have not gotten on the CB train yet.... I am 100% on board.

The way they give out compensatory picks needs revised. Every year I see the picks that were given and it never seems to make sense

when the browns traded with the bills I feel that they made a deal at that time that the browns would also trade their first pick to them.
so the bills gets the first pick and qb of their choice and the browns get the bills 2 # 1 picks plus their 2nd pick and first pick in 2019.
I think the plan of the browns will be with the #4 pick to take Nelson and with the 21st & 22nd picks to take the best G and OT. they already have a good rb and the qb is good enough. they will this year work on getting the best OL together and next year maybe get their future qb.
this may be a good plan to have a great OL before getting your qb (so that he will not be on IR so often)
Option A: Tyrod Taylor at QB and Duke Johnson at RB.
Option B: Darnold/Allen at QB and Saquon Barkley at RB
Ya, you are right.... it's the browns. They will probably go with option A lol

Sign Mayowa, Norwell, Hitchens, Poe, Butler, Lewis
Draft Chubb in the 1st
I bet 3 of those things actually happen.
-
The Colts have drafted a defensive player in the top 3 of the first round 5 times since 1953
-
The Colts have not drafted a defensive player in the top 10 of the 1st round since 1994.
-
Poe will start next to Hankins. Sheard and Chubb will start at DE
-
If we traded out of the #3 pick for Jarvis Landry, I would break something. Like....chuck the tv remote through the window

We need to re-sign Melvin AND bring in a FA like Butler or EJ Gaines. Then we'll have Wilson and Hairston fighting for the nickel spot. If Wilson proves he's ready to be a stud starting CB we have a couple years like Denver has had with Harris Jr, Talib, and Roby.
This!!! injuries happen too. we need more than 2 outside CBs.

Every time I think about Marvin Harrison, this play pops into my head. Best...Catch...Ever!

The best ability a player can have, is availability. Mr. Watkins has not shown to be great in that area

If the Colts end up with Barkley and Nelson that would be a dream draft.
take Barkley at #3, Nelson slips to the middle of the 1st, Colts trade up from 2nd round and take Nelson.
It is an extreme long shot... but I hope your dream comes true

He said "hit the ground running"
We are drafting Barkley

Well.... an offer of a single first round pick, and the Bills have picks 21 and 22, along with OT Cordy Glenn is NOT an offer that says they believe Luck is healthy. It says Buffalo is willing to gamble on the unknown. If Luck is healthy, it's NOT a serious offer.
Because if Luck IS healthy it would take BOTH of Buffalo's first round picks AND both of their second round picks AND Cordy Glenn to be even considered.
Plus... if we trade Luck the Colts would take a dead cap salary hit of more than 20 million dollars.
Another poster in this thread referred to a Luck -- in his current unknown health status -- as one of the most un-tradeable players in the NFL. And I'd agree.
I concur

Not if he's not healthy.
And no one knows if he's healthy.
Seems most everyone in this conversation doesn't understand that.
The Andrew Luck if 2012-16 is not here. We have one giant question mark.
And beyond all that, to trade Andrew Luck would cost the Colts more than $20 million in dead cap money. This isn't happening.
I get it....
The article specifically states that their logic is based off the Bills being satisfied that Andrew Luck is healthy.
Seems most everyone in the conversation read that part and understands we are debating on if Luck was healthy, could the Bills get him from us for Cordy Glenn and a 1st.

The Broncos gave up 2 1st round picks and Horton for JAY CUTLER.
I am pretty sure Andrew Luck will cost a team more than what Jay Cutler cost the Broncos....

I dont understand how people can say things like this. Edmunds has the potential to be one of the very best ILB in the NFL. How can he be an ok pick at 12 but not 6? You either think he is the guy we want, or you don't.
