Ballard has sadly set himself up where he is going to have to release him. Just from a PR standpoint. When all you talk about is character and he went out of his way to praise Bobby he may have no choice. Unless he can prove this is a witch hunt.

He sounds like a good kid....

the girl apparently "tried to obtain a legal restraining order, but was unsuccessful. Lawyer Michael Armstrong represented Okereke in this case."

Okereke was accused by another student in 2015; the case was handled through the university’s Title IX process, and ultimately he wasn’t disciplined.

The Colts confirmed that they were aware of the Title IX case against Okereke as detailed in the NYT story. In a statement to FoHo, Steve Campbell, Colts head of communications, wrote that "Considering our extensive due diligence, we felt comfortable selecting him."

“When we looked at it and talked about it, in talking to the young man, [it’s] an incident from four years ago, no discipline by the university, he was never charged with a crime, and then you look at his track record from that point until now … from 2015 to 2019 in the draft, everything we gathered and the high recommendations we got, we felt it appropriate to take him,” Ballard said.

Ballard said the Colts spoke with Okereke several times, and also spoke to people associated with Stanford and people “really close” to Okereke, and the team also reviewed the results of the Title IX investigation.

Great interview. He talks about helping and teaching the younger guys and how he wanted to go to a 4-3 team. Also funny because he has sacked Luck. Talks about luck just smiling and it threw off his game.

Random Obsevation:  Rodgers looks strung out

Do some research.  ok.. good one lol    There are no WR with # 1  grades behind what there are at other positions.   Not a comprehensible sentence

New age Colts fans are enamored with all offense.   New age fan?  as in, a fan of the current age of football?  I guess I am that... but I like the old days too... so i guess i'm just a Fan of Football.   I am only saying it is dumb to say no WR in the 1st.  if the next Marvin Harrison is on the board, you take him.  Can't just make a rule and say absolutely never or you're dumb.  that's dumb

We will never win the SB thinking that way.

Not that I think we should be "enamored with offense" but e already did win a superbowl that way with Peyton and company lol

The Colts has HAD*  the #6 passing offense last yr with the receivers last yr.    adding in Funchess who most on here underestimate and Doyle who missed half the season. Along with Cain.  Who in case you all (any statement on here that is directed to "you all" is just dumb) haven’t realized while having basically no NFL experience has more than any rookie coming into the league  so you are saying Cain > any 1st round WR in the draft because he has last years exp of being on the bench all season

basically we have our WR draft pick as Cain.  He is like drafting a WR this yr as a freebie

yes, hopefully he is a gem and plays at an elite level.

Ballard will continue to build the trenches exactly like he had been telling us.   He’s not going to reach on a WR  PERIOD  probably

Signed a CB, A Safety, A Rush LB, MLB, and probably a RB and WR too. Hell I have $100M+

oh...ok... you realize how silly you sound just throwing out positions but not the name of the player you wanted right?

and a good eye for the game. Forget anyone else saying that you cant do XYZ.

What makes you think you have a good eye for the game ?? lol

This team has too many wholes and for those who cannot see this is hard to believe.

This is pretty much the worst sentence ever.  Not only is it the wrong form of the word holes... I think it is a run on AND incomplete sentence.  It is so terribly worded that it is impressive lol

NE just won a SB with Sony Michelle. He averaged a little less then Mack this season. If your RB can get 4 to 5 yards a run it will cause defense to adjust and open up the passing game. Would it be nice to have a phenom. Yes.  But they are rare and are not necessary to win a SB.

NE just won a SB with Sony Michelle after picking him in the 1ST ROUND. they are necessary to win a SB.

    fixed it

We do not need a running back. That is last on the list. The three we have all compliment each other well. Hines had a great year and If Mack had played all 16 games might of made the pro bowl.

2 4th round picks and a 5th round pick ad we are set at RB????

None of our RBs are difference making game changers.  When the hole is there, they hit it.  They do not win the 1 on 1 battles for big runs.  I can't remember who we were paying....but one play stands out in my mind from this past season.  Mack took a handoff to the left, and the oline gave him a HUGE hole.  1 man to beat and he was basically on the ground, he stuck his arm out and arm tackled Mack.  It was a gain of like 8 due to the huge hole but with an elite RB it would have been a homerun TD

The similarities are interesting.  And Ballard will now have to start drafting in the 20s too.

He doesn't have as much dead cap money to navigate through, but lets hope he can do better with those later first round picks.

The closest comparison we have to ballard drafting late 1st round was when he picked early 2nd round.  He picked Leonard and Smith.  When Grigson picked early 2nd round, he picked Fleener...

Carlos Hyde is 26yrs old and would not start for here either.  The Colts don't really have a short yardage back.  He would'nt be stunting anyones development.  Currently when the Colts are inside the 10 yard line its all passing from there and for good reason.  He could have brought that here.  They are keeping Turbin is he stunting anyone development.  Of course not and Hyde is a better option then him.... And yes Jacksonville brought him in because of injury and they brougt in a physical back due to an injured physical back.

    He is 28
