Any points scored on this drive should be rewarded to the refs and not the Patriots.
-
LOL
That was a defenseless player?
HE CAUGHT THE BALL
-
Goff, like the NFCCG, looks unprepared and skittish out of the gate.
Time for Brady to blow down the field for the easy TD.
-
Doesn't matter.
Rams will punt after 3 plays and then Brady will blow down the field for the easy TD. -
Rams aren't even attempting to play defense.
I say Brady hits James White in the end zone to get the opening TD.
-
Rams deferred, so the Patriots can't get the consecutive touchdowns at halftime! There is a tiny sliver of hope!
(Patriots will blow down the field for the easy TD to take control of this game and put it away).

Patriots show up to their 4th straight Super Bowl, tying the record set by the Buffalo Bills and will play an NFC team.
Patriots will get the #1 seed and play their Divisional game against the 8-8 team that somehow won on Wild Card Weekend and get a free pass to the AFCCG.
Nothing else matters.

James white will break his record for receptions. Julian Eldeman will have 10 1st down receptions.
Suh and Donald won't get one finger on Brady.
The Rams will keep Pace with the Patriots. But will leave Brady too much time in the end
Brady could snap the ball for the first play of the game, run the entire quarter out on that one play because his offensive line gives him an eternity to throw the ball (Brady could probably squeeze the ball between his legs and play on his phone while the clock is running down), and no one would still make any mention of how well he's protected.
My wild card for the game: McVay, known for his aggressiveness, calls an aggressive play at the wrong time and decides the game.

Brady has thrown 2 INTs before and won a playoff game, Peyton has as well. It does not matter whatsoever, as long as the team wins and the QBs make the plays when they count.
If the Patriots had lost, it would have been more about how good Mahomes was than how bad Brady was, IMO.
Peyton gets completely roasted for making the slightest mistake in the playoffs, even if he makes up for it later (the 2010 one-and-done vs. the Jets get blamed squarely on him for example, and not on the special teams giving up a return to midfield and then the defense getting carved up by Sanchez to setup the chipshot FG after Peyton drove them to a go-ahead FG with 50 seconds left, for example). He also gets roasted for other players on his team screwing up.
Brady's mistakes in the playoffs normally get brushed off and overlooked.
If Peyton was in Brady's shoes in Super Bowl 49 for example, you'd hear a lot about the two interceptions that were thrown (one was in the end zone and took points off the board for the Patriots, the other interception was in Patriots territory and led to a Seahawks TD) and less about the comeback.
Peyton's 06 run for example is discredited by screaming 3 TD/7 INT with no context behind it. His statline in the AFCCG was only 1 TD/1 INT as the Colts ran it in each time they got down to the goal line. He led the team down the length of the field on each drive but the 1 TD/1 INT line doesn't reflect that. He had to go into Baltimore who arguably had the best defense in the league that season and grinded out a win there (anybody expecting a light-it-up performance against that team that year was crazy).

I'll watch it. Mainly since it's the last game of the season and it's all we got until September.
But I haven't actually watched an AFC Championship game in years. Last one I watched in full was the 2013 one in Denver. It's the same story every year in the AGCCG, so it's not worth watching.

where you been all day Buf???
Not watching. Only tuned in when the people downstairs started screaming just to see what was going on.
I said at the beginning of the year the Patriots would be in the Super Bowl despite whatever issues they had.
I haven't watched an AFCCG involving the Patriots since at least the 2014 game against the Colts.
Same crap every year, it's not worth watching when you know the result is practically pre-cooked. Almost Cavs vs. Warriors NBA bad.

None of this matters.
Patriots will get the ball first and then blow down the field for the easy TD to go to the Super Bowl.

Leave it to the Patriots to be a factor in the end as the status quo.
Just when you think that they are done ,they wont go down easily. I still think that KC has the stuff to beat them, but with New England's game planning, you never know. I just hope their mystic won't get inside of KC's head.
Hey, I had them going to the Super Bowl from the start of the season (and they're heavy favorites to go back next year too), so it's up to the Chiefs to hopefully prove me wrong.

On the downside, since the Cowboys made it to the Divisional Round this year, expect the NFL and the Cowboys to lobby Congress to pass a law to federally require the Cowboys be aired on TV across the entire country and on every channel to boot next season.
-
The gods cannot punish America with a Patriots-Cowboys Super Bowl now!
The AFC Championship Game will NOT be in Foxboro next Sunday!
Just need the Chargers to win tomorrow for it to be a perfect weekend.
-
The Rams will punt after 3 plays and then Prescott will blow down the field for the easy TD + 2.
Cowboys will then win this in OT.
-
Rams can't defend a 3rd and 14
Zeke will easily pick this 1st down up for the Cowboys.
Hint to the Rams: They're going to run the ball. Try to actually stop it.
-
Yeah, this game is over.
Rams are done scoring for the night.
Secondary is playing off the TV screen yards off the WRs.
Here comes a TD to Cooper.
-
Now for Prescott to blow down the field for the easy TD + 2.
-
Thanks for being totally unclutch Texans defense.
Thanks for handing the AFC trophy to the Patriots.
Go NFC team in the Super Bowl!
-
Texans defense can't stop 3rd and 10 twice.
Congrats on your AFC Championship trophy Patriots.
-
Doesn't matter.
Still more than enough time for Foles to blow down the field for the game winning FG.
-
Well, keeping a first round bye out of New England's hands for a week was fun while it lasted.
Thanks for choking, Texans.
Patriots practically assured to get to the Super Bowl now.
-
Ok Steelers, my team will try to help you guys get the #3 seed (so you'd have a home game over these guys come January), but don't bank on it.
