Here comes a 100 catch, 1600 yard, 20 TD season.

Spoiler alert: Patriots vs. NFC Team is your Super Bowl next year. AFC is just lulz.

Who will be the next Patriots TE that the Colts cannot manage to handle? Benjamin Watson, Rob Gronkowski.... next?
The guy at your local grocery store that bags your groceries.

While I think this is a good deal for the Raiders, am I the only one who thinks Brown will just completely flame out on that team? The Raiders are normally a team where superstars go to have their careers die a horrible death.
Also, it's the Raiders. Sure, they have a ton of first round picks, but I'd think the odds are better than that they botch those too.

Agreed we don't know much yet. This could be a simple case of him just trying to get some sex for money from an adult woman which while illegal isn't super huge.
Or it could be him being involved in human trafficking or underaged prostitution which would be massive and would likely not only involve prison but also involve a forced sale of the Patriots.
In that event, wouldn't everything just go to his son Jonathan?

Since not one person on any network predicted the score of this SB on the day it was played why add to their lack of expertise by predicting next years winners???!!! Who will win SB 60?

My point is simple till the season or even pre season starts .. the champs are #1 till proven otherwise..
But sometimes it's easy to know when the defending SB champs won't have a good shot at getting back. The Ravens in 2012 lost a lot of key pieces the following offseason (mostly on defense) so it was a pretty easy call to not label them as the best team going into 2013 (and to call them the best team in the league in 2012 would be a bit of a stretch, IMO 2012 was the year that everything came together for them). The 2015 Broncos had Peyton retire (granted, he had nothing left in the tank at that point), so you'd imagine that they wouldn't get back to the SB with a no-name at QB.
And sometimes the team that does win the Super Bowl wasn't the best team in the league that year.
The 2008 Steelers, while a very good team, was able to get to the Super Bowl and win it, thanks in part to a Brady-less Patriots and a weak Colts team that year. Going into 2009 they had to contend with the Colts (which IMO 2009 was Peyton's most impressive season for me) and a Patriots team that got Brady back.

What’s sad is espn also has the DEFENDING SB champions not at 1 not at 2 not even at 3 but 4!! Tells you how silly and dumb these things are!
Usually NE is at 1 for the following season even in the years they don't win or even make the SB. To me, I have them penciled in as the AFC Champs next year and a tossup to win the Super Bowl (which has been my position for the past several years). But I don't think being the defending SB Champ should automatically vault you into the #1 spot for the next season. Would anyone make a case for the 2015 Broncos being the favorite to win the Super Bowl in 2016? Or even the 2012 Ravens?

Like when?

The Kansas City regular season game this past year.
Even in 2017, there were three games where they just drew only penalty.

The Pats are well coached, disciplined, well prepared, they are never a highly penalized team, they get rid of players who don't buy in (even good ones), etc. Some think it's preferential treatment and luck, but I think they're just a well run organization, and they put the players in position to perform like no other team does. The saying goes 'luck is when preparation meets opportunity,' and I think the Pats are a great example of that.
Eh, some people call them disciplined, others call it favorable treatment by the officials...
(I know some teams are more disciplined than others, but you can't tell me you can go an entire game without a single penalty, which only ever seems to happen to the Patriots.

Zuerlein missed a FG?? That tells you the Rams were losing. Zuerlein is almost automatic.
The FG meant almost nothing at that point. Missed it with 8 seconds to go. Would've made it 13-6 and to setup an onside kick with like 3 seconds left.

I shut the game off after the missed FG. Did they hand out the MVP yet?
Has to be Edelman or Gilmore IMO. Brady winning it would be an outright joke.

2020 will feature
Alabama in the title game
Patriots in the Superbowl
Red Sox in the world series
LeBron in the finals
Some would call those BOLD predictions... But they aren't lol

If LeBron was still in Cleveland we'd have another Cavs/Warriors Finals.

So two of Brady's rings were won by Vinatieri. Two of them were won with their opponents not running the ball to close out the game. One was with a QB puking on the field, and another was with his opponent playing outright terrible.
So excuse me for not calling him the GOAT.

It's also amazing that the Patriots and their fanbase can still somehow play victim after all these years of success as well.

Now for the media to give complete credit to Brady for this game.
If that was Peyton out there, he'd be completely ripped a new one and we'd have to hear how he didn't deserve the ring/his team carried him.
-
Could CBS cheer the Patriots on anymore?

-
Really? Looked much shorter than that...
-
Also, guess who said the Pats would be back in the Super Bowl when they were 1-2 and everyone was down on them!
-
I'd give the MVP to Gilmore. If it's Brady I'm going to vomit.

And the refs helping the Patriots get over the finish line.
-
Yeah, this one's over.
Time for Brady to just empty the clock out.
-
Rams will punt after 3 plays and then Brady will just run the clock out. Probably get MVP in the process.
-
Rams leaving their receivers open now.
Patriots will get a TD. I say Gronk catches it in the corner.
Raiders release Antonio Brown! (merge)

He'll go to the Patriots, Belichick will bippity boppity boo his problems away, and then it's 2007 all over again with a slightly different ending.
