  1. Will we be discussing the 1st round picks in this thread or?
  2. I agree, but I only think Bowers is behind Harrison, Nabers and Odunze. I wouldn’t take Thomas, Mitchell or Worthy over him. I’d also be disappointed if we traded back if he was available. I get what you’re saying though.
  3. I wouldn't automatically let him take a spot on the roster, but he'd most likely be the odd man out. I'd probably try and trade him, but more realistically just release him.
  4. I think Bowers would immediately take Granson's snaps plus some. I don't think Mallory would last on our practice squad - he'd get picked up.
  5. Don't mind you answering at all - I asked because I wanted the discussion. I just think "very good" is a stretch when it's almost entirely based on hope. I think Granson and Mo are average. Mallory, Ogletree and Woods have upside and have shown a few flashes, but that doesn't make our TE room "very good" in my opinion. Worst case what we've seen from Ogletree, Mallory and Woods is their ceiling (for whatever reason). I hope our young TEs turn out great (don't get me wrong), I'd just like to see it for once instead of basing the team around what we hope. That's also why I absolutely think we need to pick Bowers if he's there at 15.
  6. Can you expend on this, why do you think that?
  7. He didn't play in the 2023 playoffs. In 2022 he had 12 total pressures in 3 games - no sacks. In 2021 he had 12 total pressures in 4 games - 4 sacks. Maybe not epic numbers, but good especially when he's their main guy so opponents will key in on him. He'd definitely be an upgrade over anything we have currently. Guess it depends on draft capital.
  8. I don't think you get to 79 total pressures (including 20 sacks) by only beating up on bad teams. DeFo was our best pass rusher and had 52 total pressures for reference. Ebukam had 48. Oooh, that's good point!
  9. Bold prediction: Bowers is there at 15, but Ballard doesn't pick him.
  10. I think he would if he could get a "fair trade", but draft point charts just don't apply in the top half of the 1st round in my opinion. He's going to have to spend more picks than a 3rd if he wants to move up.
  11. It’s possible, I’d much rather it was for a DE (or Bowers), though.
  12. There're a couple of things that seems off about this to me. 1) The Colts moving up in the 1st. 2) Moving up for a CB after Ballard just spent the pre-draft presser complementing the CB group.
