  1. If, Grigson / Pagano return and the team continues to be inconsistent and mediocre -- fans need to revolt.  Make the attendance drop...make the TV ratings drop...Show him concrete proof that the fans are fed up and had enough.

If it is true that we could have had Gruden and Manning running this team instead of the current clowns....that speaks volumes to Irsay's ability to run this team and make it successful.

Many years I planned my Saturdays around Notre Dame football and Sunday around the Colts --- this year, not so much....and while I still checked on the scores and such while I was out and about, I wasn't glued to a TV all weekend wasting my weekends watching mostly bad football.

  2. this ranks right above getting a new punter for 2017 on the list of things I'm worried about this offseason.

Given the poor leadership off the field and all the onfield needs, this isn't even a blimp on the offseason radar.

  3. Given where they were prior to the pick, I have no issue with Kelly being the guy the chose.  They cant keep getting luck killed out there with a terrible OLine.

That said, if I were the GM -- I would have taken something other that a Round 1 WR last year -- so if you had taken an OLineman last year, the need might not have been so great for one last night and then you could have looked towards taking someone on D with the 18th pick.

  4. I'm much more optimistic about Pagano than Grigson.

I think with the right pieces, Pagano would be a good coach.  Grigson just seems like pretty much a disaster as a GM and I really wish Irsay had let him go.

His FA's have mostly tanked....and using a 1st round pick on a WR last year was just dumb, given all the other things that could have helped them with that pick.

  5. I never expected them to throw around loads of $$, but the truth is -- the team is worse now then it was at the end of the year.

They haven't signed anyone but a b/u QB -- who is worse than the last b/u QB.  The TE position is worse....the OLine is not improved, etc.....

Sure, they should get better in the draft (we hope) assuming Grigs doesn't take a WR for no real reason again -- but this team has more holes then can be addressed next month.

They likely will spend some FA money before camp starts -- but at that point, it may be more role guys and less anyone that can actually make the team better.

  6. I think as a positive and TRUE Colts fan - your statement is ridiculous.

Why not focus on REGGIE recovering like Adrian Peterson. Give him the benefit of the doubt and give us all a break with the negativity.

    .

Reggie will be 36 in the middle of the upcoming season....Peterson turns 29 later this month.  7 years is a lifetime in football age and can factor a lot into recovery.

I hope Reggie comes back, but there is no guarantees, and if he if does....how many years is he going to be a #1 receiver?

Rogers and Brazil combined for 26 catches and 350 yards last season.  They have  talent, but they are a long way from a sure thing #1/#2 receiver.

  7. Remember that you said that when Wayne breaks down again and the Colts have no number one receiver. Decker will be a number one for someone.

Yep --- Hilton is very good.  Wayne was very good...nobody really knows how he will be at 35 coming off an injury.  Brazil/Rogers may be great or busts...the jury is still out on them.  You can't go into the season with only one sure thing WR.

Decker may not be the guy, but the Colts need to sign or draft a good WR.

  8. http://www.indystar.com/article/20130629/NEWS/306290022/Colts-safety-Joe-Lefeged-arrested-Washington-D-C-jail-confirms

Not many details at this time, but apparently spent the night in jail in D.C.

Indianapolis Colts player Joe Lefeged was arrested overnight in Washington, D.C., an employee of the city’s jail confirmed this morning.

Sgt. Locita Dixon at the jail’s Central Cell Block said she could not provide information about what led to the arrest or any charges against Lefeged, referring questions to a spokesman for the Washington, D.C., police department.

Lefeged, 25, is from nearby Gaithersburg, Md. He is a safety who was signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Rutgers.

Contacted this morning, a Colts spokesman said the team had no information of Lefeged’s arrest.

    Check back for updates.
