  1. I havent read all this thread, but in general when it comes to rumors like this either about TJ or a guy like Moss.....

People like to say, the Colts dont need any more WR....

We'll IF they are all healthy, probably not.....but--Collie is one big hit from being out of football, Gonzo is the Bob Sanders of the offense and White is already injured.

Hence, they are a couple of plays away from potentially being down to 2 good receivers.

  2. See as how we typically go 0-4 in the pre-season, these topics won't stop for awhile.

    Come on.....September.

Especially bad this year, with Painter leading the team at QB......it's gone be really UGLY.

Hopefully Nate Davis gets a good amount of PT and performs well.

  3. we don't know

it just depends on how well our rookies and second year players develop, just like any other year

if a couple guys surprise us and become real playmakers, we have as good a shot at a title as anyone

    agreed.....

you can't say the O-Line has improved due to drafting a couple of rookies.....you'll need to see how the develop and preform during the season before you can say if they are a better unit.

  4. Manning needs to decide if wins / public image / or $$$ are most important.

He's got more money then he, his wife or new born kids will ever spend.

He has a good set - up in Indy and really needs to work on winning another SB to cement his legacy as one (if not the) greatest QB ever.

He's the 'king' in Indy and really one of the most popular and well marketed players in all of pro sports.

LeBron suffered a ton of backlash for how he handled his "Decision" to go to Miami. His image may never recover to the point it was before leaving Cleveland.

While I dont expect Manning to have a prime time special to announce where he's headed --- if he were to become a FA - his image may well suffer if he holds out for the most $$ or causes the Colts "TEAM" to suffer.

I realize I'll never be in his position, but really...why not take $15M a year for 4 / 5 years and let the team use that remaining money to bring in a better O-line, another stud receiver or help build you a great defense.

20 years from now, nobody really is going to remember what he got paid --- just what his teams performance was over the these 5 years and if he made it to and / or won any Super Bowls.
