Quite possibly one of the happiest moments of my life. Dawgs were losing in the National Championship game. Georgia on their way to losing 8 straight to Alabama and then this happened....

Not sure what went on at Texas but Mitchell was the model player at Georgia. He was very coachable.
Kirby Smart runs a very tight ship and uncoachable players would find themselves on the bench or transferring out.
As far as his maturity level, he left Georgia to go to Texas to be closer to his infant daughter. That tells me alot about his maturity.The diabetes issue can be treated so that is really a non factor.

Zach Wilson is an interesting player.
He was a NFL combine warrior that could throw the ball 60 yards on the run accurately.But struggled in reading defenses and at this point is a bust.

I think it was obligatory for him to be nice to patrons while he was wearing his Green Jacket, but none the less....a great experience meeting a childhood hero. Lynn Swann walked up to us while we were talking and shook Peyton's hand. I joked that now was the perfect time for a 10 yard slant- and then slid into the bushes like Homer Simpson with humility.
Unforgettable experience everyone!
Would love to hear some of your Peyton stories from over the years, since it is a bit of a slow time of year before the draft! Let it fly Colts fans

Dayo is also set to be a FA. He hasn't really proven he can be a starter yet. And even as a part-time player, he will cost some money to bring back.
I think something has to give with the ER positions, so a R1 ER is very likely if the board falls that way.
Ok I thought I had seen other teams pick up the 5th year option after the 4th year.
I'm betting Ballard picks up the option keeping him here for 2 more years

So maybe Ballard sticks with Paye and get ER depth in the later rounds ?

Seems to be much more noise this year about the number of teams possibly moving their position in round one than in years past; with a rarity, the Colts among them. Sure, it is all just speculation. but also a little more interesting this year.

Verse is a nice player but to me you absolutely take the player from Alabama who's a one man wrecking crew.
The SEC is a much tougher conference as well. No disrespect to FSU which is playing in a much softer conference.
However, if the Falcons bit on Verse, Turner could fall to 15.

”After several classes overflowing with talented prospects (mainly due to the extra year of eligibility granted because of the pandemic), with as many as 350 names filling NFL teams’ draft boards, teams could struggle to get 150 names on their boards this year. This is dangerous for two reasons: The top players will disappear quickly, and teams will have to guard against the risk of overdrafting players in the later rounds. It might be a good opportunity for some teams to trade picks, maybe to move up into the first four rounds, or for a veteran player who brings more certainty. For that reason, there will be a lot of trade talk over the next couple of weeks.”

Turner until 9 ? no.
Falcons were thinking of trading up from 8 when they were looking for a QB.
They were going from 8 to 3 to land Jayden Daniels.
But then they got Kirk Cousins so looks like they are staying at 8 and will grab the best edge possible - Turner.
At least thats what all the local talk radio is saying.
Any scenario that involves Turner really involves the Falcons, and it was not clear from your post above what the Falcons would be doing at 8.
BTW, I like the idea of Nabors at 9...

Latu may be available at 15 but he's not as good as Turner.
Turner will be taken by the Falcons at 8.
