These are the Reception Perception charting numbers for Mitchell:

They also have him charted in the 83-85th percentile against man and against press coverage.

edit: I just realized you asked for Pierce. Sorry... don't have those numbers.

edit 2: found this on Pierce as a prospect:

The chart doesn't lie. There's alot of Red in the Pierce success by route graph.

And just because Pierce gets open that doesn't mean he catches the ball.

Anyone remember the big drop he had in the Falcons game ? That was a critical drop and swung the game in favor of the Falcons. Minshew put it right on him

That Nembhard 3 was one of the more terrifying late game sequences I can remember. He was all over the place last night, and when the shot clock got down to 8 and we still had the ball way out at the logo I told my son they were going to waste the possession. When he shot that 3 from back there I was ready to flip the table. But somehow it went. I do believe that was the 1 time out of 10 it would, though. I don’t want to see them run a possession like that late in a game again anytime soon. That was absolutely flirting with disaster. Hopefully it gave them the confidence they need to turn this series in their favor.

Hopefully Haliburton isn’t too dinged up. He was definitely hobbling after that weird ankle twist/roll in the second half and he wasn’t attacking with the charge he was before. Just in general across the board last night’s game seemed to take a toll physically. Plenty of hard spills in that one.

    That was an incredible shot!

The block at the rim was great too !

“If Richardson misses more than 2 games his future will still be uncertain.”  ????

When did 2 become the magic number.   Or when did playing 14 games not become enough?

I'm not directing this question to you but how is it Peyton Manning throws 28 ints and leads the Colts to a 3-13 record his rookie season, but if AR leads the team to a 4-13 record, the future is uncertain ?

Doesn't AR deserve as much a chance as Peyton Manning ?

  4. Here's the second video where Warner provides more constructive criticism.

Warner says "AR just can't live in the big throws downfield, he's got to make the short routine throws and make the layups"

"On the short throws he has to work on his accuracy"

    See for yourself

I doubt it.   Photography can be misleading.

For the record, AR was 234 in college.  Showed up at the combine at 244.  Then at one point with the Colts said he was in the low 250’s.  But it’s not clear if he stayed at that weight or lost some of it.

So do you think he’s in the 250’s now?   Heavier?   Honestly, the team typically updates the roster in mid-June.   So I’m reluctant to believe anything until the website gets updated.  Again, a camera angle can make a person look taller or shorter, heavier or lighter.  Just saying.

NOTE:   FWIW:  just checked.  This website currently lists AR at 244.

    250 ?

    That's jamarcus Russell territory

You seem to have alot of knowledge about tattoos from your comments.

Did you ever get one yourself ?

My hunch is no.  I think they’ll explain to him that they let Pittman play out his rookie contract and the Colts re-signed him to 3/70.   They’ll tell him they want him to be a Colt for many years and he’ll also have the freedom to shop himself in a year to other teams which will only maximize his deal.

So I’m guessing no, with the understanding Paye will ultimately be a Colt for years to come.

The only problem with that approach is going into FA his price will be higher.

    Extend him now for cheaper

I don't think there will be one.

Ehlinger is the 3rd string. Flacco is Minshews replacement as number 2. If both Richardson and Flacco are down for any amount of time the season is over anyways.

We will ride out Sam Ehlingers contract and then let him drift off to whoever wants him.

I tend to agree with this.

Although I would give Sam the opportunity to compete with Flacco for the number 2

    Holy cow

This was a complete hit job put on AD and unwarranted. We called him AD at Georgia.

At Georgia he was loved and adored by coaches, fans and players. We were all deeply saddened when he left.

The charge that he was uncoachable was one of the most bizarre charges I have ever heard.

This is a great pick by Ballard and suddenly puts the Colts back in the drivers seat for the division

Both Latu and Turner both have the same draft grade of 84. So the Colts must have saw something they liked better than Turner although Turner is the better athlete.

2-3 seasons from now we can look back and see who had the better career.

Might make for a good message board thread

  11. Like other posters have said, not the guy I wanted but I'm very happy with the pick.

You can  never have too many pass rushers and maybe Ballard is thinking the best way to handle Stroud, Lawrence and Levis is to beef up the pass rush and get after them !

  12. Texas’ Murphy, Mitchell, Worthy look to be selected in first round of NFL Draft

Texas Longhorns players Byron Murphy II, Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell seem to be the three Longhorns most likely to be selected on the opening night.

Murphy, a defensive tackle, has been projected in top 20 in multiple NFL mock drafts. NFL Network’s Bucky Brooks had Murphy at No. 8 going to the Falcons in his latest mock draft.

However, Brooks did not have Mitchell or fellow wide receiver Worthy going in the first round while ESPN’s NFL Nation did with Worthy going No. 28 to the Buffalo Bills and Mitchell going No. 32 to the Chiefs.

I forgot about Murphy.  I could see Ballard taking him at 15.
