  1. Good series by the defense, 3 & out and good field position for us!
  2. A little pressure on Lawrence would be nice, he's gor all the time he needs to scan the field and toss it to whomever he wants!
  3. It's weird, but that tie is kinda like a spare in bowling in the sense that what happens after it determines how good or bad it is: 1-0-1 would feel almost like 2-0 (or at worst, 1-0 but still no loss yet) but 0-1-1 would definitely feel like 0-2, since we were damned lucky to come out of Houston with a tie and not a loss after having been down by 17 in the 3rd Quarter.
  4. Correction, that 2020 Week 17 win was in Indy, after having lost in Jacksonville in Week 1 - I should've remembered, because I was at that Week 1 debacle!
  5. We did win there in 2020, in the last game of the regular season.
  6. History will inevitably change - the Chargers had a 37 year stretch between wins in Miami, until they broke it by winning there in 2019 with Philip Rivers under center. He was the 1st Chargers quarterback to win in that city since Hall of Famer Dan Fouts prevailed in that classic double overtime divisional round game in January of 1982.
  7. If we get the Maniac back next weekend and he's "punching peanuts", then I don't think we will struggle as much as you predict. The good thing about today's tie is it put some stuff on tape that we need to work on to improve, but it comes without suffering a loss to prove the point. Had we lost today though, I would put it squarely on 2 people: Frank Reich & Rodrigo Blankenship! A couple of wideouts dropped what should've been touchdown passes, but had Reich taken the points early or Blankenship hit a 42 yard attempt in overtime, none of that matters because we still win. That out of bounds kickoff was just a "bonus screwup" that we're fortunate didn't cost us the game!
  8. But we didn't lose, and that's huge - every other team in the division lost today, so we're technically in 1st place and if we can win at Jacksonville next weekend, we'll definitely be alone in 1st by virtue of having a win, and no losses, unless Houston wins as well.
  9. True, but when we were down by 17, if someone offered you a tie as opposed to a loss, would you take it?
  10. You drain the clock so if Houston gets the ball back,it's with very little time.
  11. We've got the momentum, get a defensive stop and I'll take some overtime!
  12. We needed to score, now we can attempt an onside kick if we choose.
