  1. Disagree. No matter how you slice it a guy at his level of development is best served sitting on the bench and getting a full grasp of the offense before he goes out there and plays. This protects him from the media and the unwashed masses in their lemming migrations on social media. The guy was drafted for his upside. Now if he gets into camp and things fall in place quickly enough for him there is room to play him early and that would certainly be a best case type of scenario. But he has to be ready. Otherwise you are doing the kid a terrible disservice. He will get dumped on badly and the front office will be questioned unnecessarily when he starts learning the hard way. There are excellent examples with Mahomes, Rodgers, etc with this. Now yes there are guys who play quickly but they generally are not raw athletes like Richardson with enormous upside. Guy like him has to be handled correctly to protect him. I know he wants to play but maybe let him at least run scout team for part of the season and get into the groove while your bridge QB takes the heat.
  2. Vid of Levis on that golf course when he and Coach Steichen played 9...
  3. Torrence should be a target for sure. Will probably be there at 35. Porter would be fantastic. Both him and Branch are going to go quite quickly I would think. Branch is very active on film, all over the place. Hyatt would complete our WR room nicely. That would be my 4 for day two.
  4. Wow. Congrats to Richardson. Hope this kid hits like a lottery ticket.
  5. Oh and nice job trying to hide from me over here in General. But I miss nothing.
  6. Is there a difference. Seems to me you're splitting some serious hairs on that. Either way I don't hate the signing. Just not gonna get too up about it because I don't trust kickers in general.
  7. Bucs drafted him and he showed that leg but couldn't be trusted to put it through the uprights. I'm sure the Bucs regret cutting him but he was really bad. I say "lost his nerve" because he wasn't just missing long FGs they asked him to kick, but short ones and extra points. Guy bounced back nicely to his credit. But again was just observing that kickers are weird. I don't know that there's ever a sure thing when it comes to them.
  8. Looks like a good signing as Gay's been money of late. But kickers are weird so you never know. This is the same guy who lost his nerve with the Bucs and ended up on a PS in the first place.
  9. I would fire the OL coach immediately at this point. This line has consistently been worse than the sum of its parts. They are not improving at all and you cannot win in this league if your line is losing every snap up front.
  10. Yeah he's done some nice things. Getting outside the pocket on that drive and getting rid of the ball instead of taking the sack was something we hadn't seen from our QB. Not making risky throws. Ehlinger is not the problem today but he is going to need to make more plays for us to win. Frank is going to need to trust his QB in the second half. Open it up Frank. Mix in some naked boots on the critical downfield situations and let the kid play. What do we have to lose at this point.
  11. Difference in this one is the turnover and the Patriots running the ball on some of their drives. For the second half if the defense keeps their run game in check the score will remain low. So we are still in this game. But special teams is killing us here. Game like this teams needs to be on point.
  12. Nice thing is the kid's not turning the ball over. He's going to need to back the Pats defense off by hurting them with his arm. Frank needs to open things up at this point but we'll see how much he trusts the QB.
  13. Now we're gonna see what Ehlinger is made of. This is a great test for him. Let's go kid.
  14. Game is still in hand. Need a drive here on offense so hopefully protections can adjust. Can't let them get home consistently with 4. And need to start getting some yards on the ground.
  15. The problem isn't the run calls. It's that the Patriots are winning up front.
  16. When the defense is getting home with 4 rushers you need to mix it up. Establishing the run would help a ton.
  17. Frank needs to get away from the read option on that end. Pats are well prepped on it. I'd counter with some naked boots to get Sam in space.
  18. Just keep the offense balanced and don't drop Ehlinger in too many third and longs and we should be ok. Colts defense should enable the win here. Patience, field position, and trust the kid QB when you need to.
