If you noticed, the team got worse as the season went on. Other teams started figuring out how to play us. I'm not buying into this crap about injuries. We had players who could get the job done with the exception of the QB position. Please people stop using the what if this or if this happened things would have been different. Facts are the facts. We won 7 games. JB is a poor QB and as soon as people realize this the sooner we can start fixing it. Sorry, JB will never amount to much as a NFL QB. If the Colts go into next year with JB the starting QB then expect another boring year of JB football. I swear, reading some of these posts from the same posters who spew this excuse nonsense deserves JB. Lets get serious and try to fix this football team.

Excellent point, if we ignore all external factors from this season we can place all of the blame squarely on JB. All folks who choose not to ignore all of the non-JB factors be damned!

    Great point! Well done!

I meant new to the website.

As for me being in my parents basement...   I’ll be 63 at the end of the month.

Goodness NCF, by 63 it's definitely past time for you to move out of their basement.

He's already a football player. Need to make a good reliable citizen out of him.

    That's his only/biggest issue.

Again I disagree. If he was already a football player, several other teams would have scooped him up. There are several teams that don't care much about off-field issues as long as a guy's got the on-field goods. No teams were interested.

He was brought here as a favor to another man with ties to another organization, rescued after seven months on the NFL scrap heap, having been written off as a lost cause. Bad-boy quarterback Chad Kelly wasn’t brought here to play football for the Indianapolis Colts. He was brought here to reinvent himself, to wash off the stink, and then play for someone else.

I'm not sure FR's 'debt' to Jim Kelly is a valid scenario. Maybe in little league or kid's soccer, not even for the most uncreative coaches in the NFL.

We can certainly disagree on it. No other teams were interested in CK. I see him as this year's Adongo project - might be able to make a football player out of him, might not. Brought in as a project, but obviously as a favor to Jim.

  6. All considered (mostly already mentioned in this thread) I was happy with this year, yes. Next year should be better, and the next year even better. I believe in CB and I think FR can get the job done too. If we're good enough in the trenches, it eases the  need for expertise at the skill positions. The team is coming together nicely. We have good and eventually great seasons ahead!

There are a LOT of teams that don't have that outlook in their near future. So yes, I'm happy.

    Go Colts!

On Haeg, a lot of folks were bashing him earlier last year. Most folks don't understand how flexible he is. We're lucky to have that type of OL.

Yep, and I thought he handled his business very well in 35 snaps played against the Panthers in Week 16 while Q was out.

When it’s two teams they do a coin flip to see who picks first.  Not sure what happens with multiple.  Is it reverse strength of schedule?

In situations where teams finished the previous season with identical records, the determination of draft position is decided by strength of schedule — the aggregate winning percentage of a team’s opponents. The team that played the schedule with the lowest winning percentage will be awarded the higher pick.

If the teams have the same strength of schedule, division or conference tiebreakers are applied. If the divisional or conference tiebreakers are not applicable, or ties still exist between teams of different conferences, ties will be broken the following tie-breaking method:

    1. Head-to-head, if applicable

    2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games (minimum of four)

    3. Strength of victory in all games

    4. Best combined ranking among all teams in points scored and points allowed in all games

    5. Best net points in all games

    6. Best net touchdowns in all games

    7. Coin toss

Looks like Big Q cleared protocol and was a full participant at practice on Friday! Looks like the Jags will get free pancakes after all! He’s playing in the final game, which means, according to the article I read the Colts will have the same five starting offensive linemen for all 16 games in a season for the first time since 2000 in left tackle Anthony Castonzo, Nelson at left guard, center Ryan Kelly, right guard Mark Glowinski and right tackle Braden Smith.

The 2000 starters of all 16 games were:

    LT Tarik Glenn

    LG Steve McKinney

    C Jeff Saturday

    RG Larry Moore

    RT Adam Meadows
