Thus far, Hines has shown more potential than productivity. A trading partner wouldn't really look at potential as in depth as the organization that actually has the player, so any trade we make would shortchange us. Keep him, see if that potential keeps on growing. He's been good thus far this season

I think the main reason is that Brissett is really spreading the ball around. We haven't even had a 100 yard receiver in a game yet. Look at how he's been spreading the ball around since Funchess has been out:
@ Titans
T.Y. Hilton: 4 catches for 43 yards and 1 TD
Eric Ebron: 3 catches for 25 yards and 1 TD
Chester Rodgers: 3 catches for 24 yards
Jack Doyle: 2 catches for 21 yards
Marlon Mack: 2 catches for 12 yards
Parris Campbell: 1 catch for 12 yards and 1 TD
Nyheim Hines: 1 catch for 5 yards
Jordan Wilkins: 1 catch for 4 yards
vs Falcons
T.Y. Hilton: 8 catches for 65 yards and 1 TD
Zach Pascal: 2 catches for 53 yards and 1 TD
Eric Ebron: 3 catches for 47 yards
Jack Doyle: 4 catches for 46 yards
Nyheim Hines: 3 catches for 26 yards
Mo Alie-Cox: 2 catches for 25 yards
Parris Campbell: 3 catches for 24 yards
Marlon Mack: 2 catches for 14 yards
Deon Cain: 1 catch for 10 yards

My unpopular opinion about Brissett when listening to him in interviews is that he doesn't seem very personable. He just seems too arrogant or a little demeaning, reporters or not. I just get the overall feeling that if you approached him as a fan, he would probably brush you off or something. I hope I'm wrong, just my first impression of him.
Funny, I get the exact opposite impression

This Oakland game is actually more important then the KC game because with or without TY we are not winning in KC. So you could always rest him for the KC game If it’s sore after the Oakland game. That gives him three weeks to get it healed.
Let's not get too pessimistic. I'm not gonna roll over and show my belly 2 weeks away from that game. Anything can happen on a given Sunday, we both know that.
I vote we sit Hilton or put him on a pitch count for the Raiders game (we can easily beat them without him) and then play him against KC

Both really
The offense didn't skip a beat when they lost McDaniels. I'm inclined to say it's Belichick

The constant zone defense is getting us killed. We need more man coverage
Walker looked great against the run
I think the Okereke is going to be good
I think there was a successful screen ran! (gasp!)
The stunts they keep trying to run happen so slow it's not working. Something needs to change
Brissett can really throw on the run, and the sack escapes are impressive
I'd love to see the TE's get more involved. Cox is better than he gets credit for.
Yeah, but on the other hand, man coverage against Jones, Ridley, and Sanu?
Idk about that........... not a smart idea IMO

Eh... Why are you asking the question in such a contentious way? Do you think I don't want him to succeed or something? On the very first page of this thread I think I gave him big props for today's performance (and the comment applies for more than just this game). He made some very good plays, but more importantly he looked like he was in control of the offense and move the ball down the field very well.
I think it is important for us(especially for Ballard and Reich) to critically evaluate Brissett this season because the consequences might span the next half a decade+ of Colts football. This includes the positives and the negatives of his game and it should be a holistic evaluation over the span of the season rather than based on single bad or good games. Every QB in the NFL is capable of having a horrible or a great game on a random Sunday... We should keep gathering impressions and amalgamate them into a more fully informed opinions by the end of the season.
You get my like just for saying the word "amalgamate"

Wilkins was actually a pick I loved coming out of that draft. I still believe in him, but it'll be tough if Mack can't play.

His NFL career is done. If he can’t make it with NE no team will be able to make it work.
At the very very least not until these sexual assault allegations are dealt with. He's also on the backend of his prime, so if it takes some time for these to be dealt with, will teams ever want to take on that personality for anything less than top 10 WR production?

Alright, I'm gonna go ahead and say it. This won't be popular at all.
I think we should keep Vinny for another week at least.
I thought we should cut him/he should retire after that Titans game, but after seeing these kickers, I changed my mind. None of these kickers excite me at all. None of these guys seem like they can hit 50 or even 40 yarders on a regular basis.
Now obviously the retort is well Vinny can't hit PATs on a regular basis, or at least it seems like. But just last week it was reported that he hit a 60 and 64 yard field goals. His decline isn't physical, it's mental, which means it can be reversed. And Adam Vinatieri is one of the strongest mental players I know. I think it's worth it to see if he can snap out of this before we move on.
It's a very risky decision, but I think it's the right one. At the very least, it's better than going to a kicker that can hit PATs but not much else.

Give me Koo.
Dude was a Groza award finalist and was scapegoated in San Diego.
No.
He had like 3 kicks blocked with the Chargers cause apparently he has way too much of a wind up or something like that

Working out Cody Parkey is a fireable offense IMO. WTH is Ballard thinking?
Do you know what the word fireable means? I will give you a second chance to edit or redact this statement, because surely you don't think Ballard should be fired for working out a kicker......

Broncos went to two superbowls. Won one, set multiple offensive records. Andrew Luck retired at 29
You're missing the whole point. Andrew Luck retired cause we couldn't protect him. Who says the same thing, or actually probably worse, wouldn't have happened to Peyton if we let him take the hits Andrew took?

Everyone understands who he is and what he’s accomplished and while that is great, he isn’t effective and hasn’t been since last season. No one has yet to provide a convincing argument for him other than his past accomplishments
Again, not the point. I'm not using that to say that we should keep him. I'm using it to say that we should acknowledge what he's done for us and not treat him like trash.
This is what's been happening in this thread. People say Vinny is trash and he's gotta go. Other people say to put some respect on the GOAT's name. Then the people reply "So you think he should stay??"

If he keeps going the way he has so far the GOAT will go to someone else. I appreciate what he has done and meant to the team. Father Time has called.
He has already accomplished GOAT status. He can't go down from there unless someone rises up

To everyone who doesn't understand why some posters are ashamed of this thread, it's not necessarily cause they think he should still be here or not. Most people here think he should be gone. But it's not about that. It's the manner in which people are saying he's trash and should be cut.
Please, put some respect on his name. I don't care that he's been sucking, just at least be respectful of everything that he's done.
Still the GOAT, regardless of what happens this week

Everyone on this forum seems to be mistaken about Reich's offensive approach to each game. During the week, he decides what strategy we're gonna use for the beginning of the game. Sometimes we run it down their throats. Other times we try to establish a rhythm with short passes. Other times we like to get more vertical. Then depending on how the game goes, he'll make the appropriate adjustments.
We don't really have one "scheme". We have a versatile offense and what we do depends on who we're facing. So when you think Reich isn't doing quick rhythmic passes, it's probably because he decided that wasn't gonna work against the Titans, or because the offense couldn't really establish a rhythm early on and he changed the gameplan

Maybe, idk. He can still run. And did you see his Houdini work in the pocket last game?
Dang it, Superman already said that

I would if I were an opposing team. Brissett has a cannon. Not as accurate as Luck, but the arm strength is definitely as good

Outside of TY, the receivers are not good, yet. Funchess was signed but didn't play. Campbell was drafted but was hurt during preseason and will take some time.
Don't blame all of this on JB, when the same problem of not having very good receiving options on the field other than TY has been a problem for years.
However, JB is probably not as quick as Luck. And he is really not the running threat Luck was, so RPO may not ever be as successful.
Maybe, idk. He can still run. And did you see his Houdini work in the pocket last game?

Chargers, yes, it would be an advantage, not so much with the Chiefs.
Our schedule, home and away, lines up with the Texans consistently. Jaguars and Titans line up similarly. Jaguars and Titans get Chiefs and Chargers at home while the Texans have to go on the road to face the Chiefs and Chargers.
Same thing with Saints and Bucs, we play them on the road while playing Falcons and Panthers at home, like the Texans, but the Titans and Jags have it reversed.
Other way around. Chargers play well on the road, since every game is pretty much a road game anyways. Home field advantage exists more with the Chiefs since it's super loud

Penalty on Keanu Neal

I think there is a difference between accepting a bad penalty and accepting a penalty that directly stemmed from a guy getting injured. Not saying I would've declined it even if the rules allowed, but I'm just saying
