    Been a tough year for our CB room. First Gilly asks for a trade, which the Colts properly give him. Then, Rodgers pulls his bonehead move to be gone. Then, Dallis Flowers has a season ending injury. Now we may have lost JuJu. Someone find Kenny Moore and wrap him in bubble wrap. This is getting ridiculous. You can rip on the corners all you want, but no NFL team has enough quality depth to make up for all that.

    We are a good team.  We actually had our way with the supposedly best defense in the league.  Garrett’s playmaking slowed us down but we even overcame that.  I’m expecting the team to go on a winning streak now.  The worse part of the schedule is behind us.  I’m not happy about yesterday but it’s still early and I still think we can make the playoffs.

    The Good:

    38 points against best D in NFL without any gimmicks

    JT looked good

    People keep saying we don't have WR1. We do, and his name is Josh Downs. Get used to it.

    Pitt and Pierce looked good as well

    Minshew getting two rushing TDs

    D line play was pretty effective all day

     

    The Bad:

    Sucks to play against Myles Garrett. His play on the blocked field goal was ridiculous, and he beat double teams and chips with ease all day. Game wrecker.

    JuJu Brents injury

    Darrell Baker Jr. Will he meet the same fate as Deon Jackson?

    Ball security by Minshew. Eliminate the TOs and we win games.

    While this experience is great for Freeland, and he hasn't been terrible for a 4th rounds rookie tackle, we need Braden back.

    Our vaunted TE room disappeared today

     

    Not even getting into the officiating thing. It was ridiculous. All in all, a pretty solid effort by the boys, but so many close plays that just didn't go our way. Two interceptions overturned (both of them the right call), and Buck's game-ending strip sack taken away (not the right call IMO) completely changed the game. This team continues to show that they have the talent on the roster to compete with anyone in the league, just need a couple more pieces (particularly in the secondary) and a healthy AR to get us over the hump.
