I really worry we will have to over pay for Luck. I have heard people saying he will be the highest paid QB when he gets his new contract, but until you have won a SB or more, you don't deserve to be.

Did TY school the Broncos and Eagles? But they lost didn't they? They still got smoked by the Steelers with TY in the game.
What does that have to do with anything the person I quoted say and my comments to it? He just said he needed to beat one of the top CB's in the league and he already did that.
-
Which means Revis will be on Hilton.......... That should be interesting
That'll settle the "Hilton is a #1 WR" talks. If he can top one of the best CB's to play the game, that'll add to the argument that he is a #1
He already did that when he school Sherman last year! HELLO! Sorry, couldn't resist!
-
I hopes he playes better and make a better impact because every game he's been in we've lost and when you watch the game tape you'll see he really isn't a impact player so far. But its the middle of the season so its still room for improvement so will have to see
Andrew Luck has been in every game we have lost also the last few years. Should we just dump him?

I was disappointed in how the Denver defense didn't even hardly press their WR's and Gronk....I remember a game, where Tony Gonzales was killing NE. You know what Belicheck did? He put two guys on the line of scrimmage and both of them stopped him from even getting to his route. That is what teams need to do for Gronk. Quit putting one man on him. You knew he was going to him on that 1 yard TD. Put two guys out there. Take him out of the game and make Brady beat you with the other guys.
Press their guys at the line. Don't give them cushions, this allows for more time for our line to get to Brady. Brady's line isn't as good as it has been in the past. You beat Brady by pressuring both the WR's/TE's and getting pressure on him.

Stephan A put Skip in his place today and I loved it. Skip was always hating on Manning until he went to Denver. He hates the Pacers, Colts and anything that has to do with Indiana. He makes that clear. If Luck was on any other team, he would be all up his behind. If Indy would have taken RG III as he claims we should have, he would be hating on RG III and how injury prone he is, instead he still believes RG III is the better QB even though, Cousin's has beat him out in Washington!
Guy still thinks Tebow can be a starter in the NFL. He has NO idea what he is talking about.

I am a true believer you really need to see at least half a season of someone starting all the games and playing a majority of them to determine if they can do well. He was a rookie. Even Harrison shows signs of being a good Center, except for some miscue's on snaps. But if he continues to start, he will or should get better. Some people that can't even play football like to determine if someone is good or not. Most don't have a clue of what they are talking about.
I am pleased with how he is playing. He will have bad games, Mathis and Freeney had bad games....But he is getting pressure.
-
I know what the guy was saying that he didn't have control or had put it away. He would be right if putting it away was his first move with the ball. To me, why the on the field Ref said it was a fumble, he caught the ball and as someone else said, for a step or so, he had put the ball away by having both hands tight on the ball, against his chest. He had complete control of the ball. When he decided to move the ball away from his chest, is when he lost it. Which is a fumble. Even Johnson knew it was a fumble.

Losing to the Brown's at home, after you get a HUGE lead and then can't score again?
-
My disappointments are the following:
1. Robert Mathis! Not only should he have known to have those drugs tested or approved, he then hurts himself while suspended. This is HUGE for the team. I have really felt he let us down on this.
2. LaRon Landry! Not for the reason's other have mentioned, I am actually a fan of what he does. Yes, he makes mistakes, show me a player that doesn't, but he isn't that bad. But he should not be using anything illegal like Mathis. Very disappointing.
3. Da'Rick Rodgers! Once again, given a great chance to play for our team. So disappointing. You knew you had a problem, yet you didn't care. And now you see the door.
So yes, my disappointments come from the ones that have gotten suspended.

Shake your head til it falls off...that doesn't change the fact that we still had zero sacks.
I love the tackles for a loss, but you rattle the QB with sacks. That's one of the reasons why Foles played like garbage in the first half of the Jags game.
We didn't have sacks, but we had hits on the QB, maybe 1 second faster for a few of them would have been sacks. There weren't any sacks on Luck either, but they got pressure on him. Same with the Colts, we got some pressure on them.
-
Some may be turning on the team but most are not. It was a game the Colts had won and should have won and they didn't for various reasons. Are fans supposed to be happy that they were competitive and not complain when there are things to complain about?
No, complain but stop calling for people's jobs. Just ridiculous in my opinion.
-
It amazes me how fast people turn on their team. This thread proves all of that. Good grief. Go out and find that perfect team so you can be a band wagon fan! Oh wait, that is right, there is no such thing as a perfect team.
-
I didn't realize you base your views on games by what the commentators say.
Sorry, but we only had 4 QB hits, and zero sacks. That was on a suspect O-Line.
My point was even they noticed we had some. smh
And how many tackles for a loss did we have? 4 because our guys were in the backfield.
Point is, we had pressure, not zero.

We did enough to lose this game on our own. Im never comfortable blaming the refs.
That said, we had a pretty rough stretch of bad luck on this front. The call on Vontae, the non call for Hilton, the borderline non horsecollar lead to alot of late points. Usually the breaks go both ways. Not so last night.
I also have to an opinion we did enough to win that game also, had the Ref's called the first foul and the INT had not happened.
-
I will agree our pass rush wasn't as good in the second half, but you clearly did not watch the first half of the game. We had consistent pressure on the Eagles. Even the announcer were pointing out the pressure we were giving them. Walden abused that third string guy. So I really have zero idea what you are talking about.

The fact remains that the Eagles spanked us in our stadium. Luck is at best a mediocre QB - Good QBs find a way to win, and the Eagles D stopped Luck! There were several holding calls against the Eagles that were not called, but typically it's the looser's that whine! Come on Colts fans: we lost and let's get them next week. The Eagles are a super bowl team while the Colts are going to struggle to make the playoffs!
Really? Spanked us? In our stadium? Spanked? Luck is mediocre QB? I don't care what you say....Yes, the eagles made the 20/20 tie game. But we responded with a TD. Our defense responded with a stop, then our offense marched down the field again and was in scoring position. True, maybe we should have ran it, instead of thrown the ball. Point is, there was holding/pass interference that allowed the INT. It wasn't like it just stopped us from getting a first down or something like that, but ALLOWED a turnover that should not have taken place. THIS changed the game. Then instead of also allowing a 3 to 5 yard tackle for a loss, we have the ref's give them another 15 for a call that never happened. Back to back bad calls do not help any game and allowed the Eagles to stay in it.
The Eagles did NOT spank us. Spanking means they destroyed you. We lost by 3 points and the 10 extra points they received were allowed because of two bad calls by the Ref's.
When someone doesn't do their job, you are allowed to call them out. You can call it whining or whatever, but the point is, they didn't do their job and they CHANGED the outcome of the game.
-
Blaming the refs for this loss is weak. Very weak. [/quote
It's not so much blaming as it is contributing. Still they make those two calls correctly and the colts win
They needed to just make the first call correctly and the Colts would have scored something. But doing two bad calls back to back like that is horrible.

Yes, because I was clearly stating he should hit the QB every play. If you disagree about Werner, fine, but don't spout a bunch of nonsense instead of actually having a response.
So your ok with spouting a bunch of nonsense "couldn't even get in his area code". Yes, that is NONSENSE, but I am not allowed to. I love the double standard. Point is, I believe Werner needs more reps and more games. Judging him off whether he could get to Manning or not, is just not sensible. Not many people get to Manning, it is a known fact. Werner actually got pressure during the pre season. I will judge him after a few games, rather than one, against the greatest QB ever. smh
-
Werner couldn't even get in his area code. The guys just gets easily handled the vast majority of the time.
Then you and I watched a different game. Sorry you that think a player should hit the QB every play. Maybe you should watch more games. Yeah, it just doesn't happen like that.
-
I think most of the negative people here should just quit watching sports. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about.
-
To be fair he was going against an all pro left tackle.
Also against Manning, who is well known for one of the fastest ball releases and RARELY gets sacked.
-
I thought Arthur Jones did a good job. There was that one tackle he got behind the lines, I was stunned he got off his man and still made the play. I think he is a huge pickup for our defense against the run.
-
I thought for his role he played well. He caught more out of the backfield and I think Bradshaw had one or two drops. He even broke tackles on multiple occasions.

Look, we have our new GM! I am sorry, but saying Walden is overpaid when he is the one of the many talks of our defense....sad! He has played well and is getting pressure on the QB. I have been rather impressed and we paid a lot less for him than a few other big names.
You probably think we still should have kept Manning instead of going with Luck? There may be a lot of reasons we don't do certain things...Maybe those players DIDN'T want to play for the Colts. Have you thought about that? You do know a player can tell a team no. There could be many reasons.
