  1. I could see Ballard just trying to respect the company’s privacy to a degree. Or, maybe didn’t wanna’ talk about it because only half the teams have the intel and, Ballard being Ballard, wants to keep the cards close to his vest. Could be something else though, those were just my first thoughts.
  2. Yeah…I’ll admit I’m a degenerate who’s thought about throwing away $15-20 on that bet lol
  3. Doubt it has anything to do w/ it but there’s a post on r/sportsbook where somebody claims Levis is telling friends family he’s going 1st… And it’s very, very likely fake, but that’s not stopping people in that thread from taking the bet lol
  4. I agree with this…especially with the hesitation of using the word “problem” Actually, all three of those examples are what I’d use too. Stroud has come off a bit arrogant to me, not abrasively so, just get that hint in his interviews. Much like I get the same “rehearsed” vibes from Levis like Supe said. His interviews (specifically a clip I saw from the Manning thing) plus the whole playing up his quirks. As for AR, that specific quote about not toning down his passes was a bit of an eyebrow raiser, like is this how he could potentially handle criticism/coaching? But again, like you I’d hesitate to say any of them will be a problem. I could see why all 3 could rub some the wrong way though.
  5. No worries. Clarified my post anyways because it was kind of confusing
  6. No, sorry, I’m agreeing with you. It shouldn’t even be a question that Luck’s football smarts were beyond Levis’ coming out.
  7. I’d get more specific and say football smarts. But yeah, I don’t see how it should even be a question.
  8. Yeah, that whole thing screamed misdirect, or at least a “not what it seems” scenario. Especially with the whole editing out the name Ballard says as a draw in. They wouldn’t leave such easy breadcrumbs out there.
  9. I did add “if they think he ha a relatively high ceiling” And I mean, from what I’ve seen you really like Levis. They very well might think as highly of him as you do.
  10. Oh I’m sure he’s gotta huge say. And I doubt they hugely disagree on the choice or anything. For all we know they could both be in 100% agreement with who they want, just depends on how the board falls.
  11. Yeah, if they draft well they could have a ‘22 Jets like infusion of young talent. Or at least I’m sure they’re hoping so.
  12. Yeah, @stitches mentioned that first bit too and I agree with y’all. I wanna see who Ballard’s top choice is between the three. I’d bet two go before us though. That seems most likely.
  13. Stroud, Levis, and Richardson’s agents working overtime while Young’s is just chillin
  14. I think the Texans probably view their situation differently. I mean, at the very least it’s easy to have some level of confidence in our division. And they might think Levis is a really high floor guy who has a relatively high ceiling. Couple that with the connection to Shanahan’s offense…it makes some sense.
  15. Yeah, fair. And Levis’ connections to a Shanahan offense/Ryans being the HC, it could make sense for the Texans to just outright take him. Doesn’t seem like it’d be a popular move for the fan base though.
  16. Yeah, I freely admit I have no idea what I’m talking about lol and I’ve done very little on gauging what other teams have been doing/rumored to do.
  17. Ah, this is getting interesting. My immediate tinfoil hat theory is wondering if the Seahawks wanna jump us for Levis. Their heavily rumored interest in AR could’ve been smoke, especially if they believe all the talking heads saying we want Levis. That’s assuming the Cards won’t give up 3 though. Can’t see Texans wanting to trade inside the division to the Titans or us. Not for a potential franchise QB anyways.
  18. Yeah, and I really don’t think Ballard’s one to send out smokescreens. Not like some other teams at least. I guess Irsay’s the wildcard, but yeah, he would’ve used Mort lol
  19. No idea, could’ve been conjecture for all I know. But Chap’s always seemed to be a straight shooter. Sort of random, but I do wonder if there’s some sort of angle being played behind the scenes when it comes to AR and the Seahawks/Colts. From either AR or the Seahawks side, or both. Well, I mean there’s probably tons of angles being played between teams, but I am curious about the Seahawks wifey reported interest.
  20. I haven’t seen specific quotes, but I remember somebody saying Mike Chappel said that AR must have a heck of an agent. Can’t remember if I saw that here or reddit.
  21. Yeah, I could see either one being true. You’d think at least one of these 4 QB’s falls a bit, or at least it’d be rare to see them all go in the top 4-5. As much as my hype on AR has soared, he definitely seems like the prototypical media hype job. GM’s who are even remotely on the hot seat could be scared off by the lack of tape/inconsistency/etc.
  22. Agreed on both your guys’ last posts. The interesting thing is the top 4 QB’s all have solid arms/can make most any throw. But they all have (mostly) different negatives. It’s a tough decision to make though, agreed on that.
  23. Hah yeah, my parents and grandparents were teachers. I saw enough to know that I wouldn’t be good at it. Steichen does seem to be though. Will be interesting to see.
  24. This is random and it’s not worthy of a post, but Steichen really impressed me on McAfee’s show today. One thing specifically he talked about was how to teach/coach players. Went into how some players are visual learners (need to see tape) and some are audio, can just hear the instructions and understand. Really went into how a player takes in info. As somebody who comes from a family of teachers, he really sounds like he knows how to figure out how each player learns/processes stuff. And more importantly, he wants to. Really good vibes there when it comes to development.
  25. Yeah, that sold me on him the most. That play where he makes like three snap decisions evading pressure and still gets it to a WR…whew I’m so, so curious as to who Ballard favors specifically. I know he’s a traitsy guy but I imagine his whole “gotta get the QB right” makes him hesitate on AR. Maybe lean toward the more “polished” guy in Levis. Then again, as much as people spam the Wentz comps, there is some real validity to them. And I doubt Ballard loves seeing anything like that on tape. Dang…I’m just glad I waited this close to the draft to invest myself lol I purposely stayed away because I knew I’d get opinionated real quick.
