I was surprised how Taylor got away with lining up in the backfield and jumping the snap count. He did it all night long. I hope the next team to play the Chiefs has a plan to force tge refs to call it.

I'm wondering exactly how that would go down with MHJr.
All the stars could align and he would fall right into our laps in the draft - and then Ballard wants to take someone else, or trade down.
And then Jim overrules him right there in the draft room and tells him to take MHJr...
Maybe CB would want the best guard in the draft to handle the right side...

So the really good teams:
- Take care of the 3 games where they should win.
- Still win a majority of the close/competitive 10 games.

If people stop subscribing the price will come down. Why wouldn't they charge as much as the market will bear?

I'm in the "not concerned about numbers" camp. I want to see growth and improvement over the year. Accuracy, decision-making, command of the offense. Really excited to see how he progresses.

I wonder how Leonard feels about his agent's antics? What do you think Jim Irsay will do if after this year Ballard is on the fence about whether to cut Leonard or not? What side of the fence do you think the Colts will land on?
Well, it's a business and Leonard is under contract. If they feel he still has value it shouldn't matter. If they get all butt hurt by this agent's antics for JT and take it out on Leonard I would be surprised.

Its preseason. I will wait to see much more than one quarter of football to formulate any real opinion but its not a stretch to say when he plays in the regular season and sees actual defenses there will be a very hard learning curve and a lot of struggles.
Very true. As has already been said, this isn't enough work to make any assessment about his ability to succeed in the NFL. We expect him to struggle, and hopefully to learn and improve.
I liked what I saw yesterday.

Pretty troll-like honestly. Drops that deuce of a comment and then ghosts.
I think he meant to do that. Gets all of us over reacting.

So far AR hasn't looked that bad. Pretty crisp, that INT wasn't his fault (not being a Homer but it wasn't). The last drive was good than Gay missed a 28 yard FG, we paid top dollar for this kicker, if he costs us a game or 2 this year that will be unacceptable. 28 freakin yards!
I keep waiting for AR to break one off and have a long run. Jackson looks good early as well.
I actually think it was his fault. Just my opinion. Didn't set his feet and tried to flick it side arm. But it's a good learning experience. He bounced right back.
Loved what he accomplished.

Pretty nice drive. Some penalties, the pierce drop (need to make those catches) but overall successful for AR.

seems like no risk play calling a lot of runs or short passes
Right.
Not worried about play calling at this point. I'm sure Steichen has specific things he wants to see.

Would like to see the D show up now.

The int was caused by not setting his feet and being a gun slinger. I am sure he will hear about that. He can clean that up.

Well, he wants out. He doesn’t want to “rebuild “.
Was that in the article that was linked? I didn't see it.

I know it can be hard to pick up sarcasm on a forum, but I feel confident saying the post you responded to was dripping with sarcasm. Not sure anymore sarcasm could be applied to it!
And the post was finished with the "end sarcasm" tag. /s
So I think it might be sarcasm. Just maybe.

We offered him a contract. He just wanted more.
That sounds familiar.

Interested to see how Purdy bounces back.

It's not even a comparable case.
It's his own money, not his teams salary cap allocation.
His money:
3.9b net worth / $20m = .005%
Teams cap:
$224.8m / $20m = 8.9%
Not like he can just take that $20m and give it to Taylor.
Some folks aren't concerned about those pesky facts.

It was me. And you misunderstood me. I never count FB as fact. I stated that the debunked rumor is running rampant outside of this forum so it wasn’t really on NCF. It’s more on Holder for writing the confusing article. I was saying the general public on FB has fallen for the rumor and now they’re presenting it as fact. Not me.
I wasn't actually thinking you count on FB for facts. I was expressing my own issues with social media in general. The scary thing is many people count on social media for what they think is factual info.
It's all good.

Thoughts on week 1

Josh really beat himself. He needs to rethink a few things about the way he plays or I don't know if he can progress to the next level. Just my opinion.
