    Burrow doesn't even look winded.

Hometown boy does good by his State!

Burrow is THAT guy! He's the ultimate epitome of what people call the "it factor". He has the aura/attitude/confidence/skill of a future HoF-er. Health permitting of course...

I really love watching him play. That LSU season was not a fluke. He will continue being a feature in the AFC playoffs for the next 10+ years. We better find a QB who can go play-for-play with those new young QBs in the conference... or else we will continue watching them from home.

Apparently Josh McDaniels was the favorite to become the Raiders head coach and he was even calling around the league assembling a staff.

However, he is now pretty much out of the running and no longer the favorite because “something happened”. What it was is unknown at this time.

McDaniels is such a fool. I hope he never gets a HC gig.

    Probably Dodds happened...

  3. Is it wrong the first thing I thought of when reading the title was - "Wait, they keep track of theor COVID status in the off-season?" :grumpy2:

On a positive note(to justify posting in this thread) it's interesting that our FO executives and coaches seem to be in high demand. Several for GM position, Eberflus for HC, Montgomery for OC...

That’s a lame duck year, fair or not. Unless they get exceptionally lucky we aren’t going to find a LONG term solution. So you HAVE to go with Wentz which is unfortunate because if he struggles again then ya, Frank and Ballard are both gone.

So - in the end we may very may find our QB of the future for 2023, but it will come with a high price tag and some new leadership. :(

I see several ways to save their jobs.

    1. Get some of the elite talents at QB and take step forward with him.

    2. Get some of the bandaids(Carr, Cousins, Jimmy G) and take step forward with him.

    3. Stay with Wentz and take step forward.

    4. Make a big move in the draft for a QB... he shows some promise...

Problem isn’t a Elite QB factory. They don’t grow on trees and there are very few of them.

That's not a reason to give up premier assets for short-term mediocrity.

After what happened in the last 2 games, I have a feeling Wentz is gone. Something is going to happen, JMO. You just can't have a season where you  have 3 all-pro players, 7 pro-bowlers, and an all world RB and miss the playoffs with 2 chances to clinch.

Yeah... Wentz would be a weird hill to die on, especially for Ballard and especially if he trusts him as little as he let on in his press-conference. Like... if they really like him and trust him, go for it, more power to them, but they should know what this likely means when he %s the bed again in the most important of moments of the seasons. Irsay is already * off at Wentz. There is zero chance he will tolerate another disaster like this.

I agree. Go with Wentz for the 2022 plan and with pass catchers talent added, no more excuses. Then re-evaluate. In the long scheme of things, JT and the OL will still be in their prime after 2022 season.

If Frank and Ballard go with Wentz in 2022 and don't make SIGNIFICANT strides forward, IMO both are gone.

NI ind is saying long term. We are talking about a more steady hand that isn’t volitile until we get the guy. Problem is he would have to be a trade and extend most likely.

Just like Ballard, I'm done with the bandaids. Unless we are getting legit elite talent (Rodgers, Wilson) we shouldn't be giving up premier assets for temporary short term fixes. Now if they come cheap/free I'm good with it.

  9. To me JImmy G and Cousins are in the same tier and also they are very similar play-style wise(Cousins has fewer injury concerns). Both are better than Wentz, but I wouldn't choose either of them as my long-term QB. My reasons IMO are similar to why the 49ers gave up so many picks for Lance and are reportedly still planning to start him next year.

To all those people who say we should run the ball in all run obvious downs. The passing game needs to get going. I am not sure if it is Wentz or our skill players are that bad and cannot get separation.

People don't seem to get it that the way to unlock the run game is to actually be a threat with the passing game not the other way around. Teams will stack the box and limit our run game until we prove we can punish them for doing it.

  11. What is a flare up? Weird injury designation. Before camp Nelson said he's had a couple of procedures/surgeries done this off season but refused to say what was operated on... I've seen some people speculate it was his back(this issue with his back has been popping up on injury reports for a while now). I really really hope this is not something serious. OLineman with a back problem doesn't sound good to me.
