  1. Gore has long been one of the most respected players in the NFL. He overcame knee injuries in college and the NFL and came back as good as ever each time. Gore is business like in his approach and works his but off to master his craft, it's no wonder he is so respected league wide. One hell of a football player, glad he's a Colt.

  2. He is spot on as usual, I sure hope the coaching staff does some of the things he is suggesting. This coaching staff has got to put the players in a better position to succeed. 3 step drops, rub routes and bunch formations are exactly what this offense needs to get it's confidence back, that and running the ball more, this will all open it up more for the downfield passing game. The coaching staff is making it very hard for the offense to be successful. I don't understand why the coaching staff can't figure this out. All of this would have went a long way to winning Monday nights game. but they just kept trying the same things over and over, no adjustments to help the team out.

  3. To me, two adjustments can be made to fix our issues.

    1) Make plays against the blitz, which would include hot reads, screens, and other high percentage passes that make the defense pay for blitzing.

Yes lets hope the coaching staff agrees, this offense needs to get it's confidence back and putting the Offense in a better position to succeed, will go a long way to accomplishing that. 3 step drops, rub routes, screens, high percentage completions all will help the O-line and QB get their confidence back.

    2) Rely more on the running game.

Gore looks ready to roll, just needs more opportunities, this too will help build confidence and take some pressure off the O-line and QB. the whole offense has got to play better and the coaching staff has got to do a better job of getting them in position to do so.

The only other issue is that Luck needs to play better, but I fully expect that to happen.

I don't think the team is fatally flawed. I think we've played about as poorly as we could through 2 games. The offense wasn't great in the first game and we wouldn't run the ball, and the defense made a handful of mistakes. The defense was much better in the second game, but the offense was even worse than in Week 1. In both games, our best players made mistakes that cost the team possession, points, etc. I don't expect Gore to fumble on the goal line, I don't expect AV to miss easy FGs, I don't expect Freeman to overrun his assignments, etc.

The protection won't be great. With the above adjustments, I think it will be adequate. I don't think the pass rush will be great, but it can be better as Mathis gets going, and especially if we finally get a lead at some point this season (yeah, that's right, through 8 quarters, we haven't led once). I think the run game will be fine once we give it a chance to get rolling.

It's possible that none of that gets lined up. That would be sad, because I don't think it's very difficult or complicated at all.

  4. Infinite number of "the sky is falling" threads. I'm going to stay away from them, and get on with my life. Yes, I'm disappointed, but I remember going 0-2 last year, and we came real close. Not worried. Not worried at all.

This 0-2 doesn't resemble last years 0-2 at all, we had a chance in both games last year, we were destroyed in both games this. I wish I could watch those two games an conclude that there is nothing to worry about.
  5. The O-line is horrible and Pep does nothing to help, Pep has to calls plays to help the situation, dink and dunk, screen passes, draw plays and short passing game, he just continues to call deep drops and patterns that take time to develop and time is what we don't have. Chud should take over for Pagano and Pep, there is no way he could do any worse.

  6. Could Thornton or even Goode be any worse than Lance Louis, This team will never win a Super Bowl with Chuck Pagano. The Colts have had the success they have had in spite of Pagano. Win or lose we get out coached every single week. Andrew Luck played like crap and he has regressed, and that is to be expected, the O-line is horrible and you can not expect a QB to get better when his beatings get worse each and every year. This is not like last years 0-2 start. This team has big problems, they are not close to being competitive, the QB is shell shocked and the head coach and O-coordinator are way over their head. The only good that will come out of this season is, we will not have to suffer another season of Pagano. Why would any fan believe this team can compete with any team.

  7. Pagano and Pep are killing this team and when luck is playing like crap this team is horrible. We have been out coached every game since the last game BA coached. Pagano is a great guy, but a horrible X+O's in game coach and Pep is no better at his job. I think this teams has gotten where its at in spite of Pagano, much more than because of anything Pagano has done. The Jets defense is laughing at the Colts offense you can hear it.

  8. 1-Herremans was horrible, he was slow to his blocks and got beat often, lets hope this doesn't continue.                                                                                                                                                                                               2-Trent Cole looked slow and old, I hope he was not going all out as he did not looked explosive at all.
3-Montori Hughes showed nothing and we really need him to step up and make plays.
4-Tipton seems a step slow, did a good job in the pass game though.
5-Hassleback did not look good and was a disappointment.
6- Was expecting a lot more out of Carter, but I think it was just 1st game jitters and still expect good things from him.
7-Winston Guy didn't look good and looks to be our #6 safety at best

    The good
1- Robinson looks like a steal and could push Boom for the #2 RB spot, the TD run was all him and he looks real explosive.

2-Denzelle Good looked really comfortable and I could see him being a starter after a couple of years exp.
3-Dorsett is going to be a star and already looks more polished than Moncreif,I think he will be the #3 WR. He will be a real weapon and has a chance to be real special.
4-Adongo was giving great effort, he didn't make a lot of plays, but he didn't leave anything on the field, if he continues with that effort the plays will come.

5- David Parry really impressed me and got good penetration, he looked a lot better than Hughes.
6- Anderson got a lot of penetration too, and he and Parry looked like they are ready to be a part of the rotation now.
7- Werner looked a lot more comfortable in his new position and I think he will push Walden for playing time.

8- Dewey MacDonald looks more comfortable and ready to battle Colt Anderson for the #4 safety spot. I really like his potential.
9- Geathers is real active and looks like he will just get better and better as the season goes on. He and MacDonald look like future starters.
10- Herrea looks like he could be a real solid player and a steal for the 6th round, I would put him ahead of Muamba now.
11- Zack Hodges looks like he could be a real player with time, I hope he makes the practice squad as he shows a lot of potential.

  9. I think Danny Shelton will have the biggest impact next season, of any player in this draft, I would love to see him wear the horseshoe. I know there is a very slim chance of this happening, but if he slides a little, I would love to see us do whatever it takes, to make him a Colt. The middle of our defense is our weakest spot and this guy dominates the middle in both the run and passing game. He is that rare talent that can collapse the pocket and bring the pressure up the middle and dominate the running game at the same time, Shelton is everything the Colts defense needs, he would be expensive, but if he slides a couple of spots I would do whatever it takes.  Here is to praying for a miracle.   "GO COLTS"

  10. No way he is given another chance,  not when anybody off the street can give you as much or more for a lot less money, he gives nothing but a prima dona attitude with no talent what so ever, this guy can't play a lick.   Attitude + no talent = sucks.  No way we carry a 3 million dollar a year, 4th string RB. His NFL career is over, if we hadn't given up a 1st round pick for him, his career would have already been over. He flat out sucks.

  11. imo we wont cut trent, or we would have by now.but if I am wrong and we do cut him, hoody will take him in a heartbeat and use him to beat us once again, hoody game plans to a players talent, instead of making him play a coaches system

He has no talent to be used against us, and hoodie doesn't pick up talentless, heartless players. Hoodie wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole, he is one of the biggest bust in NFL history, how many of those have you seen hoodie sign.

  12. who was the last Indy RB who ran for 970yrds in his rookie season?

He wasn't very impressive in his rookie year (with Cleveland) with a much better line, and has been on a constant downslide ever since. What he did three years ago (with Cleveland) has nothing to do with what he can't do now.
