  1. He's not 100% and i wish the coaching staff would let him heal completely before they play him. I have never understood when they say a guy is not healthy enough to start but, will play. Why play him at all and risk futher injuey if he's not healed completely. if you play him he's not going to be healthy the whole season. Sit him until he's healthy, I know how important he is to this team but, at half speed he's not helping the team anyway.

  2. Today was a big learning experience. Hope they can bounce back next week, at this point I would just like to see the team continue to improve, learn how to win on the road and stay competitive. We definetly have some key pieces in place, with better players on both lines next year, I think we can really be good. We will be a better team in the second half of the season so I say anywhere from 6-10 wins according to how much we improve in the second half of the season.

  3. I thought the Colts would be a little flat today after such an emotional win at home last week but I didn't think they would play this bad. Little things, like the pass that was high to Fleener on the first drive, that was looking like a nice opening drive,, Fleener was open and had some room to run, that really hurt, then the high pass to Fleener wide open in the end zone took away another touchdown, we had a chance to go up big in the first quarter and even after these two drive killers I felt good about how we were playing but, that all changed quickly. The fake punt was a backbreaker. Even at the half I felt like we had shown enough to believe we had a chance if the defense could force a couple of 3 and outs and the defense did, we just never could get the offense back in rythm and when, we looked like we were going to, we would shoot ourselves in the foot. The missed toucdown to Avery and the collapse of the defense in the secound half just put the nail in the coffin. The missed opportunities in the first couple of drives could have really changed the momentum of the game, a young team on the road has to take advantage of such situations or the game can just spirals out of control as it did. This team is just to you young to turn the ball over 3 or 4 times on the road and beat anybody. All the playoff talk is a little premature as much as I wish we were playoff caliber, it will take beating some decent teams on the road to reach this level.I just hope we can keep improving as a team and I'm sure we will, maybe even upset someone on the road which would be a big confidence builder for this young team. I'm still exited about this team and their going to be fun to watch and we are definetly headed in the right direction, today was a tough loss and puts our hopes in the proper perspective. This team is going to do great things, if not this season, definetly in the coming seasons, the future is bright and I'am exited about the rest of this season and seasons to come. "GO COLTS"

  4. I agree this defense is much more effective when Freeny is on the field. He forces the opposing QB to step up in the pocket and this sets up Redding, Nevis and the bitzing LB'S.Freeny does a lot of disruptive things that just don't show up in the stats. For all the fans that think Freeny doesn't bring that much to the table just ask the opposing coach and players what they think of Freeny, he is one of those rare players that you have to account for on every play, it doesn't show up on the stat sheets but, he has a huge impact on many plays over the course of a game and anyone can see that the Colts are a much more disruptive team when he's on the field. I hope something can be worked out for the next few years, for I believe Freenys presence will be hard to replace.

  5. Love the job Grigson is doing, will be interesting to see what these two guys can bring to the table and the good thing is, if they don't bring it, Grigson will move em out and bring in somebody else. I was impressed with MTV, thought he looked solid against the run. I had never heard of him before Griggs signed him and ende up being a good signing. Griggs is doing a heck of a job.

  6. I hope Carter gets a chance to show what he can do this week. The Colts were really high on Carter last year before he started the fumble problems. He has really been in the doghouse a long time now. The man is a human bowling and our second fastest back. Brown has been solid in my opinion, with him being out 2 or 3 weeks this is a great opportunity for Ballard and Carter to show what they can do. I think most fans expect good things out of Ballard (as do I) but Carter is the one that I'am most exited to see. I think he will really suprise people, if given a chance. I look for a big game out of Carter, as he runs his way out of the doghouse.

  7. I agree we did play alot of 4-3 in the Packers game and I thought Nevis looked pretty good. I love his effort, hustles on every play and will turn and run down a play from behind on screens and draws. I believe I seen him line up at the nose on a play or two. I don't think Moala has looked that bad this season, he gets some penetration and blows up some plays that Freeman or Conner make the tackles on. Looking for Nevis to have a big impact this week.

  8. The first four or five games are no indication of what their careers will be but, with that being said I saw ever game Peyton played as a rookie and Luck looks much more comfortable and in control than Peyton did at this point of their careers, don't know how it will end up but, Luck is much more advanced than Peyton was at this point. I can remember almost feeling sorry for Peyton early in his rookie year as he sometimes looked overwhelmed. Luck looks much more relaxed and is just playing ball, where as Peyton looked like he was thinking more than just playing. (again this is no indication of overall careers) but, at this point I don't think its even close. "GO COLTS"

  9. I hope Shipley gets another start Sunday. He had a solid game against the Packers and I would like to see how he does if given another chance. He's not as atheletic as Satele but, he has better tech, better at the point of attack and much more active, hits someone on every play, really hustles. Satele stands around on some pass plays and doesn't even make contact and he gets driven back into the QB on other plays. I feel Shipleys play Sunday, was good enough to give him another start to see if he can show consistency. "GO COLTS"

  10. In the short time Bert Jones was healthy he was the best player in the NFL, being compared to Bert Jones in his prime is no slight. Bellicheck was asked if Tom Brady was the most talented Quarterback he has ever been around and he said no. He was an assistant coach for the Colts when Bert Jones was in his prime and he said Bert Jones was the most talented player he had ever seen in his career. Jones was very lethal as a runner too, big and strong and Luck looks alot like him when he runs, a passer first but could make plays with his legs when he had too. Gale Sayers and Bert Jones are the two players, if not for injuries, that would have really been fun to see what their careers could have been. Jones had the size and running ability of todays quaterbacks and this was in the mid to late 70's. He was a great field general and a fearless leader Jones, Elway and Luck are the three best quaretrback prospects I've ever seen in my time and I'm 52 years old. Being compared to Jones is a compliment not a slight.

  11. Guys I know the defense played a great game Sunday, the whole team did. All I'am saying is that we seem to come out with a more aggressive aproach Sunday, I'am not trying to slight the defense or Pags or not realizing it was the Packers we were playing. we simply came out of the gate with a little different plan of attack and I liked it. This is a positive post, not trying to overlook the situation.Just noticed a more aggressive approach the entire game.

  12. I do realize that we were down by 18 but, even in the first half the play calling was a little more aggressive, we had a few penaltys in the first half that stalled drives. Even once we got the lead we didn't go conservative, we kept playing aggressive and were trying to put more points on the board, it definetly wasn't the same conservative play we have seen the last three games. I believe Arians will continue to open up the offense. I'am not saying throw 55 times each week, we still need to run the ball but, by opening up the offense, the running game was more effective Sunday.

  13. Arians took off the chains Sunday and let Luck run the offense and the results were 27 second half points. I really liked the gunslinger mentality we played with Sunday I don't know if it was because Arians felt like he didn't have anyone looking over his shoulder or what it was but, I loved it. We let it all hang out Sunday and it was exciting. I say more no-huddle and just let it rip, in the up tempo Luck can really get in a rhythm and can be almost impossible to stop.

  14. I doubt the Colts will move Reitz to tackle but, either way with Reitz on the field our O-line will be better, if we can get our five best guys together and give them a chance to gel this offense could be lethal the second half of the season.

  15. I thought he played a great game Sunday. He was better Sunday than any game Satele has played this season (and I know Satele has been banged up) What really impessed me was how active he was. I have noticed alot of the time on pass plays when Satele would drop back and look for someone to pick up and end up not hitting anybody. Shipley was much more active whether there was anyone that needed help or not he went and hit somebody on ever play. I don't know whether he can continue the level of play that he showed on Sunday but he played a great game and he was relentless and made sure he hit somebody on every play and this kind of hustle and aggressive play is just what this O-line needs.I hope he at least gets another start this week to see if he can continue to play at this level,if nothing else maybe his play Sunday will light a fire under Sateles butt and inspire him to play with the same intensity that Shipley played with Sunday. I would really like to see him get another start. If we can get Reitz back and this kind of hustle out of either Satele or Shipley this O-line could really start to take shape. "GO COLTS"
