  1. Our O-line sux, the whole O-line is getting taken behind the woodshed and beat like a dog, Please get Seth Olsen out of the game, he has been beaten on every singke play in this game. Put in Linkenbach in place of Olsen. Arians had better chew some butt at the half.

No pass rush and no pass protection, this is pathetic.

  2. Yes, this team has alot of holes and like years past (with Peyton) our quarterback has covered up alot of those holes. What we are seeing with Luck is truly amazing. i don't believe there is another quarterback in the NFL that would have eight wins with this team, Peyton, Brady, Brees etc... could not win eight games with this team(and no I'm not saying Luck is better than the formentioned QB's) but they don't have the mobility and ability to extend plays that Luck has. The Colts O-line is so poor that these great quarterbacks would be rendered helpless behind this line, and the other rookie quarterback sensation this season(RG3) has the mobility, but can't throw the ball downfield, like Luck does. RG3 does his damage as a passer off of the play-action passes, set up by the Redskins NFL leading ground attack. The play-action pass, is not a luxury that Luck has behind the Colts weak running game. The poor O-line play and weak running game, is what makes what Luck has done so remarkable. This is why he is the only quarterback in the NFL that could have this team at 8-4. Thats why building a strong O-line in the offseason is priority one, with this team. I know that we need CB's (priority two) ,but by building a good O-line in the offseason, will take care of just about any shortcomings the offense will have. The improved O-line will take care of the weak rushing attack as well, as I feel we have enough talent at running back. With another WR added to the mix our offense is set, then we can focus on the defense. A couple of CB's a safety and either resign Freeney or bring in a pass rushing OLB and bring in a D-lineman and this team is ready to make a run at a Super bowl. I know thats a tall order for one offseason, but some of these players may already be on the roster (Chapmen, Lefeged, Butler) between the draft picks and all the cap money we will have in 2013, I believe most of these holes can be filled. I think due to his injury that we can resign Moala at a decent price and he was relly coming on strong before the injury. I just don't want to see Luck have to run around for his life like he has this season. With a good O-line this offense can be as good as any in the NFL. So to make a long story short, yes this team is fortunate to be 8-4 and if not, for such a special player at quarterback, it could be a lot worse. Luck can get us to the playoffs with the holes we have, but unfortunately we will not go far. But at the same time were not far off, Luck is not the only player out of this draft thats going to be a star. Luck is that rare player that can make the guys around him better. His precense will speed up the development of all the other rookies drafted with him and I think we've already seen that. With a years expereince all our rookies on offense will be better, guys like Fleener, Allen, Ballard, Hilton have star written all over them. I beleive time will show this to be the best draft the Colts have ever had, and Brazil and Chapmen could be stars too. Freeman is already a star and probably the most underated player in the league. Late arrivals like Davis and Butler will be much improved too with a full training camp and OTA's. Getting Mckinney and Nevis back and hopefully Moala (if we resign him) his injury could be a blessing in disguise for next season , if it allows us to sign him for cheap, he was really beginning to play well before the injury. Getting anything at all out of Ijalana or Anderson would be a bonus. We are beating teams now, with more talent than we have, but we truly play as a team and that makes up for talent. With the emotion and unity we have, with Paganos illness, and a quarterbacks thats will to win inspires every guy on the team, this has been a special season and a joy to watch. To be honest we are probably playing better than we are, but we are not that far off, not with the quarterback we have. With another year of expereince, offseason improvements to the O-line and defense(through free agencey and the draft) and this can be a Super Bowl team. To be that good two years after completely overhauling a team is unheard of, but with a freak for a quarterback it can be done. What a great time to be a Colts fan. "GO COLTS"

  3. I agree props to Shipley and Linkenbach, they came in and fought hard. I know Linkenbach is a whipping boy for many on this board, but this season he has shown why he is on this team, being able to play four of the five O-line positions in a pinch is invaluable to this team. I think shipley should be our starting center and Linkenbach our starting right guard. Mcglynn and Satele spend more time on their backs in their own backfield, than anywhere else on the field. I've never seen two lineman whiff on blocks and never even get a hand on the man they are blocking, and when their not missing their man, they are getting thrown to the side like a child. Our running backs are getting hit three yards deep in their own backfield and Luck has to throw on the run, on every other pass. The fact that Luck can function at all with the pressure these two guys are giving up is amazing. Shipley to center and Linkenbach at right guard, we have nothing to lose, they can't be any worse than Satele and Mcglynn. "GO COLTS"

  4. This is one game that we really need the pass rush to show up. We must put constant pressure on Stafford to have a chance to win this game. I'm exited to see what Lefeged can do and the Colts need him, Davis and the rest of the DB's to come up big, and the only way that is going to happen is with a good pass rush. Freeny and Mathis were bringing the heat last week,it didn't show up in the stats, but they were solid all game long.I think Freeny is getting more healthy each week and they are both due a big game stats wise, lets hope its this week, some sacks and sack-fumbles could go a long way towards a victory Sunday. The Lions are a very talented team and very capable of putting up 40 points on anybody, but they are undisciplined due to coaching, and tend to make stupid mistakes at times.I think if we can keep pressure on Stafford and establish a running game early, we can open up the play action and control the game.to come out early and play like we did early against the Patroits(before the wheels came off)would be ideal. Like any road game with a young team we've got to avoid turnovers,at some point this team has got to take that next step, and play a turnover free road game. The blowouts on the road have been frustrating this season, but thats life in the NFL for a young team with a rookie quarterback, but to take that next step, to be a contender and not a pretender, the Colts have to come up big on the road.We know that if we make the playoffs its going to be a road game and thats why we have got to show that we can go on the road and beat a good team and inspite of their record the Lions are a good team. A win Sunday could be a huge confidence builder, much like the Packer win earlier in the season. This is not a must win,but a win would be huge for this young team.Lets hope they can come out and play a solid four quarters and get the road monkey off our backs, if they can do that, anything is possible moving foward. "GO COLTS"

  5. I'm not glad Zbikowski is hurt, but I'm glad to see Lefeged get a chance to play. Seeing what Lefeged and even Sergio Brown can do will give the Colts a chance to see if their worth keeping around. I have been calling for Lefeged to be given a chance all year and I'm exited to see what he can do, he showed some good ball skills last season, lets hope for the Colts sake that he can come up with a big game Sunday, as the Lions are a big challenge in the passing game. "GO COLTS"

  6. Wayne for sure.Freeman definetly deserves it,but will probably get snubbed because,he is not getting recognition from the national media. He should be a starter and mentioned in the defensive player of the year talk.I wonder is he eligble for defensive rookie of the year or are first year players not considered rookies. Allen has a shot since he is considered a fb on the ballot.Luck could be considered if he puts up big numbers in the next couple of games.

  7. I have been a Colts fan for over 45 years. What we are seeing now with Andrew luck is truly remarkable. Johnny Unitas was my childhood hero,he changed the game,he brought the NFL into the passing era, he was the toughest football player I had ever seen, mentally and physically.Decan Jones said he was an assasian, it wasn't enough for him to win, he had to beat you.Jones said he was the toughest player he ever played against and Decan is not known for complaments. Then along comes Bert Jones and I know alot of people on this board are not so high on Bert Jones, but he is still the most physically gifted quarterback I have ever seen, he was 6'4" 225 lbs in the 70's when quarterbacks were 6'1" and 190 lbs. He was Elway before Elway, but injuries cut his career short.During the time he was healthy he was called (the franchise)in his prime he was the best player in the NFL.Years later comes along Peyton Manning, the most cerebral player to ever play the game. I don't have to tell you anything about #18 you all know about him and what a great player he is.For years I thought Johnny Unitas was the greatest football player I had ever seen and then along comes Peyton,it took a few years for me to put Peyton in the same class as Unitas, but eventually I did, and now believe that Peyton may be the best that I have ever seen, and that is not easy for me to say, because as a child I thought Johnny Unitas was a god. Now along comes Andrew Luck, and now I don't put him in the same class as Unitas, Peyton or even Jones at this point, its to early in his career for that, but I can tell you now that we are seeing something really special, this kid blows me away. He has the guts and toughness of Unitas, the physical ability of Jones and the cerebral talents of Peyton. I don't think there is another franchise in history of NFL football that has had the lineage of quarterbacks that the Colts have had. Hear I am all these years later getting to see the next great Colt quarterback, its like someone took all the best qualities of all the great Colts quarterbacks before and put them into one,and you just don't know how happy that makes an old man like me. Unitas won 3 titles and Peyton won 1. I don't know how many titles Luck will win or how great he will be, but I've got a good feeling, and its sure gonna be fun to watch and see. This guys really special and I'm sure glad he's a Colt "GO COLTS"

  8. I agree, Reitz is our second best lineman, the left side is set.I've been calling for Shipley to start over Satele all season. The offense has been much more productive when Shipley has been in at center.I would like to see Link in place of Mcglynn too. Justice has been a pleasant suprise at RT too,for the most part he has been solid.

  9. Shipley should be the starting center. This offense is much more effective with Shipley at center. Satele gets thrown around like a rag doll every week. He is gonna get Luck killed. Shipley is not nearly as atheletic as Satele, but he is a much better technician and the offense clicks better with Shipley. Sateles pass blocking just plain sux. there are so many times when Satele drops back in pass blocking (when he's not knocked flat on his back)that he looks around for someone to block and he ends up hitting nobody. Shipley hits somebody on every play, he out hustles Satele by a longshot. I just don't know what it is the coaches see that they play Satele over Shipley,if he hadn't played I could see it,but he has played and played well,if the coaches don't believe Shipley is the answer, I guess we will have to add center as a position of need in the offseason, because Satele is definetly not the answer. I know the coaches don't want to mess with chemistry the line is developing, but I would like to have Shipley at center and Linkenbach at right guard in place of mcglynn, who has been as bad as Satele. I know Link is the whipping boy, but he looked pretty good at guard when he was filling in for Rietz. Center and a guard are gonna be a big priority in the offseason, if the staff doesn't think Shipley is the answer. The left side with Castonzo and Reitz is solid, and justice for the most part has been a pleasant suprise,if we can fill the C and RG in the offseason(free agencey or draft) we can have a solid line and then Luck will be unstopable.I would love to see what Luck could do behind a good line. What he has done so far this season, with having to move around and throw on the run and throw with people hanging allover him all the time, has just been remarkable.I don't know if there is another quarterback in the league that could accomplish what he has behind this line.He really is special.

  10. The O-line is terrible, Luck hardly ever gets a clean pocket to throw from, always having to move around just to get the pass off, which is not his fault, but after ten games of this it is starting to effect his game a little, making things a little sloppy.Because the O-line is so bad, the only thing I see that he could do better,is to use his checkdowns more and not always force the ball downfield, other than that, with this O-line there is not much more he can do.

  11. I was very disappointed with the offense today. To only score one touchdown against the Bills defense, which is giving up over 30 points per game is not good. They will have to play better moving forward. Still waiting on Luck to have that 3 or 4 TD game, where he just picks a defense apart. Hope he has saved his best for the final 5 games.

  12. The Jags game will not be easy, with traveling on a short week and they always play us tough but, this is a different team we are a much better team than the last game and the Jags are not. Even though we have a lot of injuries I believe we will come out and show just how much better a team we are than the Jags. I can't believe I'am saying this (with how tough they always play us) but, I think this we'll be a blowout, we owe this team and I think the Colts will come out fired up and blow the Jags off the field, can't wait for thursdays game. Colts in a big way. "GO COLTS"

  13. I have been calling for more carries for Carter all season. Carter is the kind of back that can wear a defense down but he needs 20 carries in order to do this. I know he will not get 20 carries but, the more carries he gets the better he will be. Carter runs really hard and can move the pile, all he needs is a chance, doesn't look like he will ever get that chance but,. if he is given a chance I believe he will put up big numbers. He can get yards when there is no hole, very powerful, and good speed for a guy his size (238 lbs). Arians please give this guy a chance to see what he can do, if nothing else, we can see if he is a player we need to hold on to for the future. Give Carter the rock and he will have a big game. He is faster than Ballard and more powerful than Ballard or Brown. I like all three of our backs, this is no indictment of Ballard or Brown i (like all three) still believe Brown is our best back and I love how Ballard plays with the heart of a lion, I just believe Carter can bring even more to this backfield. I think this is the three best backs we have ever had, all three bring something different and all three are very capable of leading this team. Using all three will keep fresh legs on the field at all times. Before you start bashing, I know Carter will not get his share of the carries but I believe that if he did it would only make the team better and give the opposing teams more to have to gameplan for and this would be a positive for the Colts. "GO COLTS"

  14. Mathis. Powers, Brown, Satele and Justice all hurt today. I don't know how serious the injuries were but, we lost some guys today. Mathis went out early in the game, soon after his sack, Brown went out early too. I hope its just a matter of caution and nothing serious. "GO COLTS"

  15. This weeks game is huge, not just because of the playoff and tie breaker ramifications. I think this will be a very tough game for the Colts to win but, if they can win, this is the type of win that can go a long way in the development of this young team. I think we will look back at this game and say it was the real turning point in our season, good or bad. Lets hope they can pull out the win. "GO COLTS

  16. Freeman is an absolute beast. He has to be the most underated player in the NFL right now. He's playing as good as any LB in the league he's all over the field and when he makes tackles, he does it with force, he doesn't just wrap up and hold on, he puts the ball carrier down, I love his intensity. Good in coverage too. He's becoming a real leader on the defense. What a great find by Grigson.

  17. I know the defense has had its ups and downs but, for the second week in a row we held a NFL team to 13 points. The Browns and Titans are not top of the league in offense but, any time you can hold NFL teams to 13 points two weeks in a row is a big deal. Holding teams to 13 points will win most games in the NFL. This defense has a long ways to go and getting Mathis back will be huge (he is the quiet leader of our defense) if we can get anything out of chapman, things could get much better. We don't have all the pieces but, the defense has played well the last two weeks. The pass rush will improve greatly with the return of mathis (this is what the defense needs most) with a better pass rush the secondary will be better. I hope the defense can continue to improve and I give them props for the past two games.
