  1. For craps and giggles what are confused about? Not 1 thing I posted is false. If a team has a great QB as in all-time great QB they will find ways to win. I was just agreeing with Jvan basically. It is funny because when Hill left the Chiefs, there were some in the media and even a few in here that said the Chiefs would miss the playoffs. How did that turn out?
  2. I posted something similar earlier = your first sentence. If you have a Tom Brady, Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Johnny U, Pat Mahomes, John Elway, or even an Aaron Rodgers you can pretty much win 12 games a season in your sleep. Mahomes lost Hill and they still won the SB . Brady basically made guys like Wes Welker and Edelman look like Hall of Famers, Peyton made a guy like Blair White look like a solid #3 at worse + he found a way to win 2 SB's, Rodgers has never had a great WR other than Devante Adams and he usually wins around 75% of his games + won a SB without a great WR - his best WR was Greg Jennings in 2010 when he won his SB (sounds like a news reporter's name , ) Joe Montana won 2 SB's without Jerry Rice in 81/84. Great QB's find a way.
  3. I have already posted that his main job is to get JT the best deal, he is still a putz the way he is going about it. He is causing friction within my team, I say my team because this is the team I have rooted for going on 40 seasons. Negativity and friction are 2 things Homey doesn't play. 👍
  4. Cubs win their 6th straight game by smashing the Cards in St Louis 10-3. We are now finally at .500 on the season again at 51-51. We are very much in the race to see who wins the NL Central as the end of July nears and that is all you can ask. NL Central Standings through July 28th, 12am est time: 1. Brewers 57-46 2. Reds 56-48 (1.5 back) 3. Cubs 51-51 (5.5 back) - just 5.5 back 4. Cards 46-58 (11.5 back) 5. Pirates 45-57 (11.5 back) @HOZER, you want to do the honors for old time sake getting back to .500 (you know what I mean).
  5. Now that would be crazy. I would never do that. I can see 13 or 14 mill over 3 years or so with like 30 Mill guaranteed, that is reasonable.
  6. It is not unusual for a player to want a new deal with only 1 year left on his deal. That has happened 100's times. If he wants a new deal I can't blame him, a lot of players do that when they know their contract is done after the year. It isn't like he is in a middle of a huge nice deal and still has 2 years left on his contract demanding more money. Those are the players I look at and laugh. I knew that was coming
  7. I do get agents try and get the best deal for their players, that is his job. It is the way he is going about it though that is childish. He and Irsay both would have been better off just staying quiet IMO. JT probably has a ton on his mind to think about.
  8. I will explain myself better since I got a goofy confused face. We should have drafted another WR to go along with Pittman instead of JT since this is a passing league. Drafting JT was a waste unless we sign him to a 3 or 4 yr deal, pretty simple. Here is my confused face and what I think of it
  9. We should have never drafted a RB in the 2nd round to begin with going by most fans and our owners logic. It was a wasted pick, dude played like Barry Sanders in 2021 and it still doesn't matter now. Like I posted in another thread, JT was a wasted pick because as of now RB's aren't valued by their teams anymore. Unless you are McCaffery , and he even got traded. If our FO train of thinking was like this back in 2020, we should have took a WR instead of JT. What was even the purpose of even drafting JT?? I can tell you right now, JT can play like Barry Sanders again this year and it won't matter. Irsay said all I needed to know in his tweet.
  10. Cubs now at 50-51. Just 1 game below .500. 5 straight wins as the Cubs took care of the lowly White Sox again. Cubs are still 6 games out of 1st in the NL Central behind the Brewers who are 57-46 as they won tonight but only 5 back in the loss column. Big 4 game series coming up at St Louis starting tomorrow. Cubs haven't been .500 since May 12th when they were 19-19. Cubs now have another chance. The team seems to be meshing really well chemistry wise. Bellinger, Nico, Swanson, Suzuki, Steele, Stroman, and Hendricks are forming a nice squad.
  11. Cubs are on fire right now. Have won 4 in a row. Beat the Cards 3 straight and took out the White Sox last night. At 49-51, the Cubs are only 6 games out of 1st place in the NL Central behind the 56-46 Brewers. If I am the Cubs, I don't buy or sell. I just stay with what I got and play the season out. There are still 62 games left. Back in 2018, the Cubs were 7.5 games ahead of the Brewers with just 50 games left and the Brewers ended up winning the division by 1 game. Anything can happen.
  12. Taylor has never said but I wonder how much he thinks he is worth. He may be happy with 13 Mill over 3 or 4 years if a lot of it is guaranteed.
  13. Point is, if we had both, opponents can't double team Pittman anymore. Both WR's are pretty equal as in good but together they would be hard to stop.
  14. I hope he is, he had a solid season last year despite the team being bad. We will see how it goes this season.
  15. To add to this, I love Josh Downs potential. We will see if he pans out though.
  16. Pittman is good but not great, put a player like Tee Higgins aside him and use Pierce as a 3, we may have something dangerous brewing then. I am all for keeping Taylor in the fold though, he is a great RB.
  17. Yeah he was. I just don't have faith in us getting a great WR. Tee Higgins will be a free agent next season. That would be a sweet signing. Bengals are going to start losing players after Burrow gets paid. They have took advantage of his rookie contract to be able to keep almost everyone but that is about to come to end. If they don't win the SB this year, they are going to look back at the last 2 years as blown golden opportunities to win it all.
  18. You agree then with Solid unless I am slow today or missing something lol.
  19. I agree, we also have the money to pay Taylor a reasonably great contract. I wouldn't give Taylor anything crazy but 13 or 14 Mill over 3 years at his age is not going to make or break our Salary Cap.
  20. He went for 11 Mill because 10.1 of it is guaranteed. After he makes that kind of money this year, he can retire and never run out of money. He knows what he is doing
