If Jerran Reed starts to slide anymore I wouldn't be upset if we traded up a little bit to grab him. Spence would be fantastic in the second. Like Supe said, there's more quality players on the board than there are draft picks (before us)

Why is nobody including Dodd in any of these? Seriously wondering.
I am with you, but I think most see him as a better fit in a 4-3, IMO he'd fit just fine here...if him or Jack start to slip, I would start looking to make the trade up

Spence is light and has 31 inch arms. Once a long armed NFL OT gets his hands on him it will be over, IMO. I think Calhoun is the better option.
I'll stick with my original mock.
2. Billings
3. Jenkins/or Calhoun if he's there.
I respectfully disagree with your assessment on Spence, however, I really like the players you mocked to us

Meh...I would much rather trade up a couple of spots for Whitehair or Reed (or go big for Jack, or semi-big for Dodd if either fall a few spots), or just take Billings or Austin Johnson. I'm not that excited about Correa, but it would not be a big disappointment if we took him. I like Jordan Jenkins over Correa if you really want to target an OLB in round 2

There is still a lot of good defensive talent available. Noah Spence, Andrew Billings, Myles Jack, Kevin Dodd all still available and there's a very good chance one falls to 48. Who do you want to see us get today? If we get Noah Spence, I think Grigson would be batting 1.000 so far.
I would take any of those guys at 48, however, I'm not nearly as confident as you when it comes to their availability at our pick...hope you're right though!!

believe he is the next QB taken just wonder where please don't be Dallas
Just curious, why not Dallas? One less player the Colts do not need taken in front of us, pushes someone down

I think I would stick with the Ryan Kelly pick...if it wasn't for Lawson's shoulder, I would have picked him. If trading back was an option I would likely go that route. None of the guys left on the board excited me enough to be too disappointed with our pick.

^This. Williams was an animal before his injury and would be a perfect RB to learn under Gore to eventually take over as our feature back. Without the injury, he would've easily been in the 2nd Rd conversation. If he could be had in the 4th-5th, I'd take him.
Yep! (out of likes)

This news about Lawson's shoulder probably had an impact. They're already saying he needs surgery after the 2016 season; he might not make it through the season.
This made me feel better about our pick. What are your thoughts on Jack not being picked?

There are some very good defensive players still available, and if the Colts are lucky, they can land one of these players...
NT Andrew Billings
OLB Noah Spence
NT Austin Johnson
DE/OLB Kevin Dodd
LB Myles Jack
OLB Kamalei Correa
DT Chris Jones
CB Mackensie Alexander
Like them all...Correa would be my least favorite in that group, but I'd be fine with it

I honestly think Jordan Jenkins is good enough to go in round 2 somewhere around our pick if you don't like any of the pass rushing options on the board at the time of the pick. He's tough as nails and also not a shabby pass rusher either. Then we could turn around maybe in the third and pick up Fackrell or whoever else. I like Jordan Jenkins a whole lot.
I mocked him to us at 48 in Dr. T's contest. I think his best value is between our 2nd and 3rd picks, but wouldn't be too disappointed if we landed him at 48 (or trade down a bit). There are quite a few good players currently on the board so not so sure I'd pass up on some of them...

I'd move up for Jack
price (and health) dependent obviously...I also like Reed...and Billings/Spence...Robinson/Dodd..........Alexander...if certain players start to fall, and the cost of moving up to them makes sense (dependent on which guy), I'd be all for it. I also know that we can hang back and still get a quality guy....but there are a few high quality guys IMO that are worth consideration

Literally traded back into the first round to take a guard. I see why people have soured on Baulke.
Burns was a reach for need if I ever saw it though.

Artie Burns has to be the worst pick of the first round. Followed by Joshua Garnett.
I'm voting the move up to get Garnett

Lots of talent left after the 1st round!

I am okay with it. I think he and Doctson fit best with Teddy. Shepard would have been great too. As long as we did not take Fuller, I think I would have been okay.
I was intrigued by Jack though. My fellow Vikes fans wanted Jack but they like Treadwell.
Jack would've been a great pick IMO...I wouldn't have minded him at 18. I think the sentiment is the exact same on our end...for the most part. I am satisfied, he's a good player, but not my first choice.

Is this where the run on DL starts...hope not

That's okay. We will get good players. We have to trust our GM and coaches.
Haha, sorry...how you feel about the pick? Not bad IMO

Honestly, this might be the worst idea I have read in the last year...drafting a kicker in the 3rd round...while you just re-signed your current kicker, who is a HOFer....WOW!!!!!
