Thank goodness. I did not want Fuller. I just let out a big sigh.
Yeah, I'm an ND fan, and I liked him a lot, but I'm fine with him going to Houston...I think he'll be average in the pros. Doctson was my top WR...and Rankins and Joseph were my top two favorites

Very good pick for the Colts. Vikings fans on our thread believe this is Grigson's best draft pick (outside of Luck, of course).
My Vikes are coming up. My guys Karl Joseph and Sheldon Rankins are gone. I want Doctson but Houston may take him. I don't mind getting Jack for an all-Bruins LB corps. We've been dreaming this and it may come to pass. Still want Doctson.
You have good taste! And Texans took Fuller , Doctson should be yours

Damn, Saints took one of my guys!

Pretty surprising, but that's going to push someone down...at least on my board!

Told you guys Conklin was underrated.
Not saying you're wrong, however, the Titans taking him at #8 doesn't prove anything

But did he post it?
That was my first thought...if the Titans pick him up here I may be inclined to believe it was them

In a crazy world, if Tunsil falls to 18, what do you do?
Roll one up

Andrew Luck's life in the AFC South just got a lot more difficult.
Colts will be looking up to Jags for awhile.
Probably be saying the same thing when they pick in the top 10 again next year

I'm not a believer in this "best player available" horse crap. If the best player at #18 is a QB or WR, we CAN'T take them. Even if it was Goff. You draft to find starters to fill holes. You won't see Tennessee take Elliot if he falls to them, or Carolina take Goff if he falls to them, it just doesn't make sense.
I don't care that you are not a "believer" in this approach, to each their own, but at least make sure you actually understand what it means...there are about multiple threads on this very site where this topic is discussed at length, I recommend reading at least one of them...maybe you will see it is not as black and white as you are making it.

I agree, I think at least one WR will go before our pick, and likely two, as you have it
-
I'll take his former teammate, Jonathan Williams

This where GMs also could have a multiple year strategy involved. If you think we will get one or two comp picks next year for the net loss of Freeman, Fleener, Lowery, you might afford to trade next year's 2nd rounder to leapfrog the three spots to get ahead of Detroit.
So we're using a 1st (~15) and next year's 2nd on Kelly now? Sorry, if I missed something earlier in the convo

Keanu Neal...?

The interior pressure for the team is pretty good. Langford led the team in sacks and Anderson will surely bring more once healthy. Meanwhile, edge pressure for the team is pathetic. Outright pathetic. Could the interior of the line be upgraded? Of course. But it's one of the stronger position groups while edge pressure is the weakest part of the defense. There is a huge difference between them.
My thought is that getting push/pressure up the middle is going to prevent the QB from being able to step up in the pocket consistently, allowing for the guys coming around on the edges to have a better play on him...I mean, our D line played better than expected, but was still quite average. Wilkerson would likely make it one of the better ones in the nfl, especially from am interior pass rush aspect, which would positively impact the rest of the defense. You're obviously much higher on the current D line than I am though.

Yeah when there are players with no injury concerns, it's hard to go with Joseph. But if he's there at #32, maybe they would trade back up for him. Maybe even #31, that way you have the fifth year option.
Easy there, you're getting me excited ...somehow Rankins/Lawson slip to 18...trade up for Joseph ...just setting myself up for disappointment, but might as well dream before reality sets in...

Just my opinion on the matter
I absolutely agree with you, but it's the same people who continue to not get it so I imagine this point will pass them by as well...
-
Hell yeah, Lawson would be a great pick at 18!
-
I like pretty much all of your picks; Rankins is a personal favorite (along with Karl Joseph), and I like Jenkins a lot too...I'm a fan of all the others as well, Boehm and Westerman would be nice additions to the OL. I think Rankins could fall to 18...

Kelly can play it's just better and more impactful athletes will be available at that pick. The team is not cursed if we draft Kelly, we just think there's a number of really good centers in this draft that can be acquired outside of Pick 18
Nicely put, exactly how I feel about the situation

I likejoseph but I dont see the drop off in talent as that big between him and Thomson plus I like Thomson a lil more cause of his size and he can be had in the 2nd
Then I would recommend getting an eye exam
