  1. ?

    Murray is a elite back.

Gore is a solid all around back BUT is 32 and past his prime and now will be running behind a very questionable run blocking OL.

Lol I'd take a 32 year old Gore any day over Murray until Murray can prove he can get it done for more than 2 years

I think you need to watch gore play in SF, he carried the team! If they won, it's because gore would have 20 touches.

  2. I think people forget we have Ben Heenan... Could he not possibly play LG with Mewhort at RT, Castonzo at LT, Herremans at RG

    Only question is Center

  3. Langford wasn't a bad player in St. Louis until last season then he was replaced with a rookie. St.Louis has had a very good defensive front 7 the last couple of years, my only question is he has played in a 4-3 defense his whole NFL career (Miami and St.Louis) I believe, so how well will he play switching to a 3-4 defense?

I believe he played in a 3-4 in Miami

  4. The difficulty in keeping all 8, is that special teams will want more linebackers and defensive backs.

The typical number of total defensive players is 26...

    So, if you've got 8 DL, then you're only going to have 9 LB's and 9 DB's...

Coaches will want either 10 LB's or 10 DB's, and maybe even both, and only have 6 DL.

    That's the problem. It's a numbers game.

I appreciate the insight but I was just joking lol Id be quite surprised/shocked If we do keep 8!

  5. 1) Seattle

    2) Green Bay

    3) Patriots (till we even come close to beating them, this will not change)

    4) Indy

    5) Broncos

    6) Cowboys

    7) Ravens

    8) Steelers

    9) Cardinals

    10) Eagles

Call me what you want, but I'll never put the Pats ahead of Indy!

If we go 1-15 as long as that one win is against the pats, I'm happy!

  6. you could be right, but do you see him beating out Quarles? not saying he's no good or not useful but I think Quarles could beat him for the last spot, he looked ok in the little time he played last season.

Why can't we just keep all 8! Lol why choose!

But in all reality I have no idea, I think this is a tough choice for the coaches to make based on how they perform this offseason.

  7. Jones, Chapman and Langford will be the starters week 1 most likely. Then Hughes, Kerr, and Anderson are mostly locks IMO. Then Parry and Quarles will battle it out for the last spot. So my prediction is this

Jones, Chapman, Langford, Anderson, Kerr, Hughes, and Quarles.

I think Quarles will make it over Parry. Parry can go to the PS. I like Quarles. I think he's got potential. I'm hoping one of Chapman, Kerr, or Hughes really break out too. I think Kerr's the most likely to do it. And look for Arthur Jones to be a beast this year. I mean an absolute beast. Book it.

I doubt we're going to try and stash our 5th round pick in the PS

  8. How is Parry growing on you? He hasn't shown anything yet.

Simply based off watching college tape on him. I think he can bring in some good things as a rotational guy, especially on passing downs from the NT spot

  9. I don't know if our DT position was upgraded as I'm concerned about our run D.

The LG and RT positions are questionable as we don't know about Cherilus and D. Thomas. If they're good to go, our O-line will be pretty good. If they aren't, it may only be a little better.

RB looks better as does WR.

I think safety will be better as does pass rusher. I like the Irving signing for ILB.

Parry is really growing in me, and let's hope Chapman can offer a bit more. But in terms of O line I'm assuming and hoping Mewhort stays at LG, our 7th pick Good is also listed as RT. Only position that scares me is Center

  10. I read something (maybe was on this forum) a year or so ago that said we were the most injured team of the last 10-15 years or something like that. I don't know if its just bad luck or our trainers of the past and present aren't very good or a combination of both. The injury bug hits every team but its been killing us for over a decade.

I think I read the same thing. But if I remember correctly, didn't we get a new training staff when we cleaned the house? I just don't get how we can always be hurt. Is it the Indy air?

  11. I believe he's 29.. Maybe he can turn into how Mike Adams was for us last year, and considering he's Still got some years in him, it would be a nice transition when Adams calls it quits.

And a guy like Geathers/Dewey can come step in without there being much of a downfall
