I've heard he like Bree's/rivers and looks up to them; but he definetly also mentions Manning and I'd say Manning is more of an idol

I hear all this talk about what the patriots did to us... Correct me if I'm wrong, was it not 7-17 at half? And thanks to a muffed punt that led to a TD! Imagine if our offense actually moved the ball and killed some time while putting up points.... No way belichick and brady could sit back and gas our D! Because our D wouldn't be on the field as much!!!
I hated the Dorsett pick as much as others... But more I think bout it, I think it was smart move by Grigson... Giving our future HOF Qb 2 TY's! And we got Henry Anderson so I can't complain!
-
I'd rather have Gurley; but it's a long shot that Gordon falls to us at 29! If he does, I'm all for drafting him.
However I would hate to move up for him! Just thinking off what we'd have to give up!
-
I'd lose it if Danny Shelton fell to us!!
-
Denzyl Perryman
Old school LB, reminds me a little of Ray Lewis. He'd bring the tough hard-nosed mentality some of us wanted with Suh. Being from the U doesn't hurt either, especially considering our team is essentially miami U at this point lol
Wouldn't mind Damarius Randall either but prefer Tartt in the second.
Would love to have peters but im pretty sure he'll be gone before we pick
La'el Collins possibly as well if everything is cleared up with him and if we go O line
-
I'm rooting for mike Davis, David Cobb, or even Karlos Williams if we can get him late.

What about a swap for Freeman?
-
I don't think he's a bust; I think the guy didn't start playing football until college. I think with time he might become a decent to solid player but not a Mathis type player; it's not like he was a top 10 or even top 20 pick!
-
With the 16th pick the Houston Texans select Dorial Green Beckham, WR Missouri
-
I think Amari cooper should be ahead of kevin white. I don't think trae Wayne's is a top 10 prospect either.
-
Must say I really like this mock; Phillips is one of my favorite prospects but his motor makes me question him.

"Besides Russell, Fisher prepared Rohan Davey for New England (fourth round) in 2002, Christian Ponder for Minnesota (first round) in 2011 and E.J. Manuel for Buffalo (second round) in 2013. They're failures, too."
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't EJ Manuel a first rounder?
But other than that, a very Interesting article, I myself would take Mariotta; and honestly wouldn't even look at Winston. This article gave me even more the reason to do so.

I personally believe an impact player can be found at any position, not necessarily just someone with speed. Although I will agree speed can't be taught so it is of importance. im not sure if your referring as impact player as a player that will come in and have an immediate impact because if so, that's never a sure thing with any prospect. Speed won't tell you if they'll immediately have an impact. Any player in any given position can have an immediate impact. It's just up to the Gm's to do there HW and decide which players those are. With Claiborne they whiffed on the player, not the position. He stinks even if he was drafted in round 4. I think Martin is an LT on another team. I'll give you Frederick as being good, but I don't think I'd ever call a C an impact player and he could've been gotten later if the Boys weren't going all in on protecting Romo.
The team would not have made the playoffs with just a great OL. They already had the great WR, great QB, and good RB. I think they got lucky on defense last year and need real talent. They may overdraft defensive players this year.
I think the mock draft tends to show that speed and edge players tend to rise and push out the other players out of the first round. I'm wondering if the DTs are really that good to have so many in round 1, or are benefitting from a weak QB class.
I personally believe Fredrick had an immediate impact as did all 3 of the Cowboys linemen; another one of the top of my head is Decastro for the steelers, If I remember correctly he made a big difference and after his injury it created a big hole in the steelers O line
-
I'm smiling...but not saying I like the mock.
The FIRST round is for IMPACT PLAYERS (now or potential)..not trenchmen (other than LTs or elite DTs), box safeties, or ILBs. Its generally about speed too.
I think GMs look at it that way.
Interesting comments about Ray. Polian said today that he is the ONLY player in the draft that would make you sad if you passed on him.
I get what your saying, but how'd it workout for the Cowboys? The drafted Claiborne an "impact player" that hasn't done anything, while smith Fredrick and Martin all had a pretty big impact almost right away

7 receivers in the 1st!?
-
No contest, 2007 AFC championship!
-
I think if Shelton makes it anywhere past 20, we should try and move up
-
From what I remember I think it was because of the way the organization was being ran at the time that boomer refused to play here.
-
Well 3/4 of those receivers are going into their second season, we'll see how the sophomore slump plays out
-
Well I'm even more pumped for the season now!
-
I personally think grigson has done a hell of a job, Ya he's had his misses... But name me 1 Gm who hasn't! I think people take the good for granted and just focus on the bad... I for one think this roster even though it's still not as good as it will be, is one of the best colts team, and this is only 3 years into Grigsons tenture. ya the D gave up few bad games but i can't remember a D with the manning era to play as solid as they did in certain games, shoot they even won us a couple games.
-
Melvin Gordon in the second, that'll be interesting
-
Round 2 pick 6 Marcus Peters
Round 2 pick 31 T.j. clemmings
Round 2 pick 32 Denzyl Perryman
Round 3 pick 5 Mike davis
Round 3 pick 29 Bj Finney
Round 4 pick 13 Henry Anderson
Round 4 pick 29 Clayton Geathers
Round 5 pick 29 Derrick Lott
Round 6 pick 29 Alani Fua
Round 6 pick 31 Tevin McDonald
Round 7 pick 27 Eric Tomlinson
Round 7 pick 38 Bobby Hart
The Last 2 picks were just to get the draft over with, but graded B overall, I believe Peryman got a low grade (C+) for me because I took him a bit early
Pretty content with this draft overall though
All I know is I'm addicted to this site now!

Sounds solid! Really haven't heard of the guy
At this point I think were only selecting players from Florida/Stanford lol
