All I am saying is we talk about Brissett like he has been awful. He is 6-6 (6-4 in games he started and finished). He might touch 3,000 yards and probably 21-24 touchdowns. If he gets goes even 3-1 in the last 4 the colts will be 9-7. If I told you after Luck retired that we would be without Hilton, Funchess, Rogers, Campbell, Ebron and Mack for parts or all the season,  and we would be 9-7, fighting for a playoff spot and have a QB with those stats...

My only knock on the TD's is that when you examine the play calling (Specifically inside the 10) it looks as if its designed to pad Jacoby's stats. ESP the pitches to TE's/Wr/Rb's that are essentially a run but Jacoby gets the stat line.

I honestly think Frank & co designed it that way to build trust/confidence in Jacoby by inflating his TD numbers.

I could be wrong, but this is just something I've observed.

  2. I'd rather shoot for potential HOF rather than settle for average.

Also, a big key to some (not all) drafted qb busts is that they were typically taken within the first 10 picks (which generally are teams that have nothing). We have a team and just need that piece to step in and do some of what Luck was doing. The QB can grow from there.

I loved what Brissett represented as a person, but simply put - he's not the answer.

  3. I don't understand how you can be a 'bust' if you physically can't get on the field.

I for one would like to see Funchess come back next year. Guy is a baller and just had an unfortunately injury take place.

  4. Does anyone know who #71 on the D-line was? Not sure if he caught anyone else's eye, but he was in the backfield nearly every pass play.

(Side-note; somehow we have a #71 on the O-line and D-line, didn't think and don't know how this was possible)

  5. Hey ya'll so I never post here, but actually went to Tarleton State with EJ Speed. First of all, it surprised the heck out of me when he was drafted as a LB. From my recollection, he played WR most my time there.

Tried his hand in basketball, but that didn't work out (our basketball team is a lot better than our football team) I graduated last May so this last season is when the new coaches may have transitioned him to LB. Guy is a legit 6'4'', has a lean WR frame, which still surprises me that hes playing LB in the NFL. Humble and quiet guy in class. Wish him the best and hope that he does pan out for us.
