  1. Thanks for the read My bad about the year.... indeed
  2. The trade proposals Joey Bosa (22 M in salary cap savings for the Chargers post June-1st according to over the cap) For 2023 3rd round, Ryan Kelly and Kwity Paye Why Chargers They will get a top center to replace Linsley and a promising DE who's coming off of a double digit sack season. If you add Bosa, Linsey and cutting Kendricks the Chargers gain roughly 37 million in cap relief (projected to be -45M) which could be more if they extend Kelly. Joey Bosa has been banged up most of his career so it could be time to cut bait. Colts This is a calculated gamble. Bosa base salary of 15M (24) and 17M (25) is very palatable compared to what top WRs are getting. Pairing him with DeForest Buckner, Dayo and Samson Ebukam maintains if not exceeds our current lineup. Bosa has injury issues but with players playing longer than before especially at his position would he be extra motivated to play through dings for another contract. Connections SS and Gus Bradley were in San Diego with Bosa Bosa under Gus 2017 70 tackles/ 12.5 sacks 2018 23 tackles /5.5 sacks *injured 2019 67 tackles/ 11.5 sacks 2020 39 tackles/ 7.5 sacks *injured Top 100 player 7 years straight Harbaugh and Kwity Paye at Michigan Impact Big Trade Ballard!!! This is a aggressive move but calculated. A 3rd rounder is expected to contribute but not to the degree of a 1st. Ballard has security in his job and even if this fails he will still get credit for trying. Bullseye on Bradley!!! Ballard can really say he gave Bradley every chance to succeed. Bringing in numerous of his former players and drafting players to fit his scheme. A tiger doesn't change his stripes but Bradley may have to add a few wrinkles and manufacturer some pressure. There are a few coordinators out there with ties to SS. Bosa He should see more one on ones playing next to Buckner. This line (if healthy) should rip through the AFC South. Could this help with injuries? What's your Mock Draft after the trade?
  3. Marvin Harrison Jr to the Chargers wow!!! Herbert has no excuses thats a scary line up
  4. All luv brother nothing wrong with a great debate. I just see Washington who QB led the league with sacks and think of David Carr.... Why not reload this year and go after Deion son or wait another year and get the Manning.... New ownership really has a chance to get this right plus if they are trading to the Raiders.... the Raiders will do Raiders things....
  5. Appreciate the read.... I think in the next 2 or 3 years our line will be more youthful and changes are coming
  6. Good catch on Mike Vrabel... Frank Smith is dolphins OC The grouo that bought Commanders are part of Philadelphia Sixers who did the process (tank) to build their team.... what use is a QB when the team is horrible. They can trade back and build their team and be in a similar situation as the Bears with a better team for a rookie to walk into.... Opinions vary Appreciate the read and comments
  7. It depends on what you want but Joe Milton Spencer Rattler Michael Pratt Sam Hartman Austin Reed Should have some decent backups in this draft on day 2 or later You also got Drew Lock, Malik Cunningham and Tyrod Taylor in free agency And a cheaper trade could be Bailey Zapp or Desmond Ridder
  8. Predictions for Coaches Jim Harbaugh to Commanders Dan Quinn to Seahawks Ben Johnson to Chargers Jim Vrabel to Raiders Eric Bieniemy to Falcons Brian Callahan to Panthers Frank Smith to Titans Trade Davante Adams and 5th round pick traded to Jets for Allen Lazard and the no. 10 pick 1. Bears Drake Maye QB 2. Raiders Caleb Williams QB * Washington trade no.2 and a 3rd for pick 10,13 2025 1st, 4th and 2026 2nd 3. Patriots Marvin Harrison Jr WR *trade 2nd round pick for Justin Fields 4. Cardinals Dallas Turner DE 5. Chargers Kool-aid McKinstrey CB 6. Giants Joe Alt OT 7. Titans Malik Nabers WR 8. Falcons Jayden Daniels QB 9. Broncos JJ McCarthy QB *Broncos trade 12 and 3rd round for no.9 10. Commanders Olu Fashsnu OT 11. Vikings Chop Robinson DE 12. Bears Rome Odunze WR 13. Commanders Laiatu Latu DE 14. Saints Nate Wiggins CB 15. Bengals Brock Bowers TE *trade no 18 and 4th and 5th for 15th Logic: The Bengals have a major decision to make between Tee Higgins WR and Johan Williams OT. Either way the answer is Brock Bowers who has had success blocking in the SEC and has shown to be a playmaker at the TE position. A lineup of Chase, Boyd and Bowers can be lethal and even deadlier if they choose Tee Higgins over Williams. 16. Seahawks Jared Verse DE 17. Jaguars Keon Coleman WR 18. Jer'Zhan Newton should make a immediate impact and help bring continued pressure and run stopping when either Grover or Buckner is off the field. Found a replacement for Ryan Kelly who has ton of experience. Probably will try Zak Zinter out at RT first to see if we have a future replacement for Braden Smith who was also a guard in college, swing tackle or just another guard. We got a defense weapon with Cooper who can take a few snaps at Leo as well as LB Jermaine Burton can line-up everywhere and his ability to separate deep should allow AR to throw some moon balls Johnny Willson will be a project converting him into a TE. Right now he's a big slot guy similar to Josh Reynolds Dwight McGlothern is a good zone coverage CB who isn't afraid to jump a route for better or worse Rasheen Ali is a guy I want in camp. RBs can be found and picked up but I don't want to risk losing him to UDFA. As always let me know what you would do differently...
  9. With as much zone as we play.... Gus Bradley aka the cover 3 king do you think its wise to go after a lock down CB?
  10. I go with Laiatu Latu or Jared Verse.... We play zone like 75 percent of the time so idk why we would waste a high pick for someone to guard a area.
  11. How much money did we spend and do you feel like we have to over pay for free agents? (Not a big market and scheme fit)
  12. Legends like Antwaan Randle El, Ronnie Lott, Brian Urlacher and Thomas Davis Sr. Stars like Micah Parsons,Tyreek Hill, Darren Waller, Julian Eldeman, Richard Sherman, Jason Peters and Ryan Tannehill Players to a lesser degree like Taysom Hill, Ty Montgomery and Tim Tebow Have all changed positions either in college or the NFL. Would any of these position changes below interest Ballard enough to take a risk? Johnny Wilson WR FSU 6'7 235lbs Change from WR to TE Similar build: Donald Parham (Chargers) Optimal usage: Vertical/Jimmy Graham Graham Barton OT Duke 6'5 315lbs Change from OT to G Similar build: Peter Skoronski (Titans) Optimal usage: Guard or Center/ Connor Williams Ainias Smith WR A&M 5'10 200lbs Change from WR to RB Similar build: Austin Eklier (Chargers) Optimal usage: scat back/ Nyheim Hines Cooper Dejan CB Iowa 6'1 207lbs Change from CB to SAF Similar build: Jordan Poyer (Bills) Optimal usage: Slot & Center field James Williams Miami 6'5 215lbs Change from SAF to LB or Nickle Back Similar build: Isaiah Simmons (Giants) Optimal usage: Blitzer/Jamal Adams TJ Tampa CB Iowa St 6'2 200lbs Change from CB to SAF Similar build: Grant Delpit (Browns) Optimal usage: Box Safety/TE eraser Emeka Egbuka slot OSU 6'1 205lbs Change from slot to Z reciever Similar build: Calvin Ridley (Jaguars) Correct usage: Bunch, trips and motion/Ceedee Lamb Mad scientist Braelon Allen Wisconsin 6'2 240lbs Change from RB to TE Similar build: Irv Smith Jr. (Bengals) Best Usage: Wildcat/Taysom Hill Malachi Corley Western Kentucky 5'11 200lbs Change from WR to RB Similar build: Kenneth Gainwell (Eagles) Optimal usage: draws, strech, screens and passes out the backfield (Antonio Gipson)
  13. I like Jermaine Burton, think if he was in a pass happy offense he would have more hype. To me I see prime Randall Cobb, Emanuel Sanders or a Christian Kirk type player I like Xavier Worthy as well and liken him to Will Fuller or Marquise Brown
  14. Last year he burst onto the scene this year the opposing teams zeroed in on him. Hopefully he continues to grow and develop but playing next to Buckner and Grover will help. He also helps us to evaluate Paye, we aren't force to extend him and if we get the same production thats money we can allocate elsewhere. I like his motor, he's a great run stopper and he can gets sacks day 1 in the NFL if he's left one on one... I understand if you feel like he's underwhelming as a prospect everyone got their own cup of tea.
  15. So on the Burton issue.... Saban isn't a look the other way type of coach. Im sure this has been addressed and its probably more context around it. Also don't forget Bobby Okereke wasn't squeaky clean coming out of college. Ballard still chose him and we didn't have any issues with him. I agree mostly about Verse need that added depth and can become a impact player because DeForest Buckner does wonders taking on double teams. As far as Kelly, definitely want to do right by the guy. He has had alot of trauma in this town. He is playing exceptional this season so why not make it a win/win and get something for him instead of taking a chance he will retire or leave in free agency next year? Remember you gotta let guys develop. JuJu maybe that guy at CB, we haven't seen what cross can do full time at FS. The Patriots killed for years with a slot guy which we have because Randy Moss as great as he was didn't win a championship for them. Love hearing different opinions honestly I think we need a dynamic TE more so than that WR. But hey thats why we here lets debate
  16. I can see that, if we look at it now Downs is probably WR2. I don't think we will cut AP, and I think someone will have to beat him out for his field time which is alot. AP brings blocking and effort because he's not out there jogging even though the ball doesn't comes his way. Trust me I was ready to write him off but let's see him with AR
  17. 18. Here are a few players who might not be 1st rounders https://www.stampedeblue.com/2023/12/6/23991492/stocking-stuffers https://www.stampedeblue.com/2023/12/12/23999332/elf-on-the-shelf-lbs-and-dbs
  19. This is my most recent draft. Traded 15 for KC 29, 61 and next year 2nd. KC drafted Jer'Zhan Newton I also mocked a 2023 5th and a conditional 2024 3rd that could become a 2nd depending on play time for Kyle Pitts TE (Falcons). Logic: the Falcons did a similar trade with Calvin Ridley Colts Logic: Anthony Richardson looks up to Cam Newton and Lamar Jackson. Both QBs organizations paired them with some all pro talent at the TE position. Cam Newton had Greg Olsen & Lamar Jackson has Mark Andrews. pick 29. Laiatu Latu DE UCLA I think his medical may drop him but I have him having a similar impact to Jaelan Phillips DE/LB of the Dolphins Pick 49. Leonard Taylor DT Miami I think he will be a great rotational piece with Buckner and Grover Pick 61. Jaylan Ford LB Texas Super athletic LB to fill Shaq void 83. Zach Frazier C West Virginia potential Ryan Kelly replacement. Going into his last year its time to groom the the next center Pick 111 Braelon Allen RB Wisconsin A bigger back similar to Brian Robinson from Washington Pick 145 goes to Falcons
  20. Seemingly a start of a new era with the recent release of Shaq Leonard maybe 1 of these trade proposal will add some juice to SS offense. George Pickens 6'3 195lbs 4.47 speed Fit in SS system Keenan Allen 2019 104 receptions 1,199 yards 6 TDs 2020 100 receptions 992 yards 8 TDs contract 2024, 2025 and 2026(franchise tag) Team Impact Similar to Golden Tate to the Lions with (the vet) Marvin Jones and (up and comer) Kenny Golladay Trade to get him 1st, 3rd and 6th For George Pickens, 1st and 7th Reference trade: Elijah Moore "The Jets have traded wide receiver Elijah Moore, their second-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, to Cleveland, that also included a swap of day two picks. The Jets will receive the Browns' second-round choice in next month's draft, No. 42 overall, and will send the Browns, along with Moore, their third-round pick, 74th overall." Kyle Pitts 6'6 245lbs 4.44 speed Fit in SS system Hunter Henry (while with Steichen) 2019 55 receptions 652 yards 5 TDs 2020 60 receptions 613 yards 4 TDs Contract 2024 and 2025 (5th year option) Team Impact Eric Ebron Trade to get him 2024 4th and conditional 2025 pick For Kyle Pitts Reference trade: Darren Waller "The Waller trade was a fairly simple one, as the Raiders acquired a late third-round pick in exchange for the veteran tight end." Marvin Harrison Jr What's his floor Mike Williams (While with Steichen) 2019 49 receptions 1,001 yards 2 TDs 2020 48 receptions 756 yards 5 TDs Contract Rookie (4 years) with 5th year option Team Impact Similar to Justin Jefferson (MHJ) and Adam Thielen (MPJ) Trade to get him 2024 1st, 2nd 4th and 2025 1st and 3rd For Pick number 3 (MHJ) and 5th round pick Trade Reference: Julio Jones "Cleveland traded the No. 6 overall pick to Atlanta for five draft picks (its first-, second-, and fourth-round picks in 2011, plus its first- and fourth-round picks in 2012). The Falcons traded up to draft Alabama star Julio Jones to give Matt Ryan a dynamic option on the outside."
  21. Devil advocate... if he's everything he's supposed to be... I wouldn’t be mad at trading up... maybe not what you have here but when you think of big WR trades... Diggs, Adams, etc normally you have to factor in a major contract... MHJ would be on his rookie deal
  22. Have them trading down.... we were at 13th before Saints game
