How about getting rid of bringing players/ex-players up to announce picks - they do little more than make fools of themselves

I think it's awesome! Definitely better than just Roger up there

I wasn't upset at all when I posted, I was laughing when I read those first post I quoted.  Feel free to tell us all you know about Leonard as a prospect.  How many games have you watched him play?  I have never seen him play, I would be interested in hearing what someone that has seen him play thought.

I was at the Clemson vs. SC State game in 2016. IMO he's an athletic, instinctive, rangy LB. He's the kind of LB most Colts fans have been craving for just about forever haha

Honestly...I'm not  familiar with him being from South Carolina State and all.  Going to have to search for some video on him.  Hope you are right.

Check his game film against Clemson. Put him on the map

It's not a matter of opinion,  I doubt you know much about either prospect.  I know Leonard was ranked high, but I gave never seen him play.  Ballard  apparently had him ranked higher than you.  I have seen both Williams and Smith play, Smith is a very good prospect and I believe he doesn't have the injury history that Williams has.

No need to get upset buddy

But Williams isn't a good RT.  He'll probably be there at 67.

If it was my decision I would have gone Guice and Jackson and gotten a tackle like obrien later. I'm not upset about it though

Right. He wont come off the field.  Now if we can get Shaq Griffin, I'd be happy.

I'd like that. Shaq has the right attitude and passion to be a tremendous asset in our locker room

Ha ha ha ha ha ha, what a joke and I'm not talking about the picks.

Much better players available. I like Leonard but he would most likely be available with or 3rd pick today and Williams is a much better prospect than Smith at bigger area of need.

No need to get feisty over someone's opinion

I think Basham and Sheard can do a good job of setting the edge. I want a push rusher....I don't care if they never make a tackle...a la Dwight Freeney....just terrorize the qb. We may not get a pass rusher out of this group. Maybe with the switch and having Basham, Sheard, Simon, and Autry we might get through another year. I don't want to force any picks but I think Landry is a good prospect...he played with his hand in the dirt and standing up. I like his bend too. Problem obviously was injuries but if he is cleared to me he is the best prospect in round 2 imo. I thought he would go to NE at the end of round 1 so I was surprised. I could easily see Landry playing this year on passing downs and maybe come off the field on run downs (although he is known as a good run defender in his own right). I like Hernandez as well but I'm not sure we need another guard. I would much rather take a RT then guard. With Nelson already in the fold that allows for our center to help our right guard so whomever wins that position should have plenty of help. To me that leaves RT the one question mark left. You don't have to have all pro's in every position on the line. We should be able to roll help from center to RG to help a lot. Who knows maybe Mewhort stays healthy. I'm willing to be patient on replacing another guard. RT....I'd listen on that one. I guess Conner Williams and Brian Oniell could be guys we look at closely. One has injury concerns the other is kinda raw and needs to get stronger but very athletic. I'm going to assume that New York is going to look at their line problems at the top of the round...you don't take a RB 2 overall and then don't put a decent line in front of him. With Cleveland losing Thomas they might address OL as well. Tonight will be exciting...we got a lot of picks early and I think tonight is where we can see a big improvement on this team if it works out well. Tonight will determine how fast this rebuild goes.

Brian O'Neil is a guy I hope makes it to our 3rd round pick. He's got good size and tremendous athleticism but he needs to work on technique. The only lineman I'd like in the 2nd is Williams but I think the real value at our picks is on the defensive side of the ball.

Edmunds is an athletic freak. The one thing that people r forgetting is that he is only 19 and weighs 254. He can still grow and add weight. I have sons  and they gained weight at this  age.   Could he still play  middle linebacker weighing over 260 pounds?  He might actually out grow the position.  Just a thought

I've been wondering that too. It wouldn't be unusual if he grew another inch or two. Could he play LB at 6'6+?
