  1. Our defense isn't good enough. I have no reason to believe that if we play New England that we could beat them.

    I agree with this.

Sure, maybe they will surprise us, but the Colts haven't put a good defense on the field in years. We've seen through the years how great offenses are effective during the regular season, but a defense is needed to go through the playoffs.

It'd be nice to be able to stop the run.

  2. Sure Luck is likable, but that doesn't mean RGIII isn't. I don't dislike RGIII and don't need to continuously have issue with him like some here do. Honestly don't think he's unlikeable. Dude believe he's the best, so what? You don't think he should? I mean, if he doesn't believe in himself, nobody else (especially Washington fans) should. Do I believe what he said to be true? No, but I'm not going to fault him for saying it. There's a difference between arrogance and confidence in ones self.

I disagree. I think claiming you are the best QB in the league needs verification. He doesn't have that.

I think it is a fault. If he already thinks he is the best in the league what is his motivation to improve?

  3. Agree and I'm sure you didn't "dislike" him because we drafted Andrew Luck and some of the pendants were saying RG3 was better. That's pretty much what a certain poster is insinuating.

Until he got in front of a microphone, I didn't dislike him at all. I disliked his style of play. I think sensible fans and analysts knew his style was not one where he would have a long career.

  4. So it's not his fault that he turns people off with his mouth, character and personality. We're putting that on the team and his agent. We've stablished that... cool. Now looking at what you have above . Is it also not his fault that he's a very bad QB ?

He obviously doesn't portray himself very well. That makes it OK to dislike him. A persons words/character/persona is what makes me like or dislike a person. Skills and accomplishments are a far 2nd.

I will now be rooting against the Steelers since they signed Vick. Is it really worth signing a scum like Vick as a backup QB? I always liked the Steelers too. Not any more.

  5. Lets not forget that it was the Colts who wouldnt allow him to play a last year until he retired.  He's not the traitor.  You are right. i hate seeing it but I appreciate what he has done for this team and will forever be his fan.  Im not happy with the way the Colts organization treats Colt heroes.

So you think the Colts should have signed him even though they believe they would be better off without him?
  6. Some people disliked him from the beginning. I don't see why we're chalking that up to jealousy and bitterness from Colts fans, as again, it was not exclusive to Colts fans.

Some people just don't like him. I don't see why we have to label those people. And in the three years since he came in, he hasn't really done anything to make those people back off. As a matter of fact, he's kind of made it easier to dislike him, both on and off the field. This is just the latest example. We can name a dozen good and/or promising QBs who wouldn't have said what he said. All from different backgrounds, of different cultures, etc.

This whole 'Colts fans just dislike him because they're bitter over him winning Heisman/ROY' thing is totally misplaced. Fans of all teams and lots of people in the media (and reportedly, some of his own teammates) dislike him, for a variety of reasons. And his play isn't making up for it, which is what makes a comment like this one all the more ironic.

I agree, I don't really see much more dislike for him from Colts fans. Most Colts fans, myself included, would have given him the ROY over Luck. He had a great rookie year. However, most of those same people knew that the fad would wear off and he could not possibly sustain that type of play. It's a style that is injury prone. This made most Colts fans claim that Luck is the better QB to have. The future was bright for luck, but questionable for RG3.

  7. Then when he came out again and had a better year than Luck

Are you saying his second year was better than Lucks?

Not really close. He had a good exciting rookie season, but since then he has been bad. When you play that bad and say you are the best, you deserve the crap you get.

  8. but I personally don't know why New England would even consider wasting the roster spot.

Not really wasting a roster spot. In the right situation (Green Bay, New England) Wayne can be a perfect fit if he's healthy.

Wasting a spot would be if Cleveland, Tennessee or Chicago signed him. In those situations, they are better off using the position to develop a future star. Green Bay and the Pats have Superbowl caliber teams. Filling the roster spot with Wayne would make sense.

    Hopefully Green Bay.

  9. Everyone whining about the possibility of Wayne signing with New England needs to take it down a couple notches. You guys had no problem with the Colts signing Adam Viniatieri a few years back, and also didn't mind the Colts signing Andre Johnson this year. This is no different.

    Actually it is different.

No one is saying that the Pats shouldn't be happy with Reggie. I remember Pats fans being a little mad at him for going to the Colts. Of course, the rivalry wasn't quite what it has become.

Getting Andre Johnson from the Texans isn't quite the same either as the Colts/Texans hasn't really been more than a divisional game.

  10. Breaking News:  Geno Smith is out 6-10 Weeks (which will take us up to the Jets game), due to a brawl and getting sucker punched by a teammate!!

As crazy as it sounds, it is true.  As if the Jets weren't good before, they will have an even worse starting QB.  Reminds me of the Texans last year.

Actually Fitz is probably an upgrade over Geno at this point in their careers.

I went with the Denver game.

  11. I agree with the statement that I think the punishment is harsh. The rest ... no.

Too harsh. Are you kidding? I understand others cheat, but Tom got caught. The Pats got caught again. When someone is caught manipulating the most popular sport in the nation, the hammer should come down.

I personally devote allot of time to the NFL. Not just the Colts, I watch every game I can. I love it. I don't watch for the offense. I don't watch for the defense. I don't watch for the cool helmets. I watch for all of it. One thing I do want is the teams playing on an level playing field. The difference in the players talents and the coaches preparation is the only difference I want to see.
