  1. Maybe it's just me, but the weather doesn't worry me as much now that we have Andrew compared to the Peyton era.

Luck is 5-1 in games where gametime temperature is below 40 degrees.

Edit: apologies for not reading 4 posts above me.

  2. The Jets have always been competitive even before that

The Jets are anti-competition. They find new ways to lose that no one has ever lost before. You can ignore the rest of my post though, about how in the playoffs last year the Colts who's second WR was Griff Whalen, had no Allen, terrible OL, and started Richardson was only down by one score in the 4th quarter when Ninkovich didn't get called for tripping Luck that stalled a Colts drive, Colts punted, and finally the levee broke and Blount broke a long run. Albeit the Patriots were without Gronk as well which is huge, it did not become a blowout until that score forced Luck to throw home runs and go for it on 4th downs giving the Pats the ball with excellent field position. Stork is out, Jones is in. Good luck.

  3. But also 3-0 versus Luck with the highest point differential over him than any other opponent since Luck has been in the league

I bet you thought the Jets had no chance in 2010 after losing 45-3 up there a few weeks earlier, I remember a competitive game in NE last year before it gets out of reach followed by throwing for home runs and going for it on 4th down...

  4. My friend is trying to tell me bc Vontae played 1 less game due to his concussion that Sherman is still better, despite Vontae giving up the same completions, being thrown to more, half yard less average per catch, same INTs, one TD for sherman vs none for Vontae, vontae's longest was 30 yards, sherman's 60, and more passes defensed. he just got snubbed for all pro because he's not as obnoxious as sherman

  5. does anyone know who the dolphins got with that secound round pick we traded to them?

Jamar Taylor, CB started three games this year and was put on IR. He had 3 tackles last year. They were expecting a pick in the 30's considering how bad the Colts were at the time, instead they got a pick in the mid 50's.

the conditional 6th round pick never came to fruition for the Dolphins because Vontae missed 6 games thus played less than 65% of defensive snaps.

  6. Everyone ignoring the fact we were only down 8 points with 9 minutes left against NE last time and we played terribly.

Ninkovich gets away with a trip on Luck scrambling on that drive and we have to punt, eventually D breaks and gives up the long rushing TD and then it's home run balls leading to interceptions and going for it on 4th down from there on out. They didn't have Gronk, we had Hilton/Whalen/Fleener/Richardson. Luck also threw a pick to open the game that was basically a pick six.

  7. It's probably a Patriots fan and not actually Tom Brady.  Whether or not Tom Brady would do this, I do not know.  I'd like to think that he would show that much lack of class or overconfidence.

It's ironic that Brady got the best of Peyton most of his career but Eli got the best of Brady.  Funny how it works.

I wouldn't doubt it's not actually Brady. "Who says we're only gonna score 17?" Famous last words.

  8. wait, how is the addiction not his fault?

Alcoholism runs in the Irsay family, as well as the fact he was recovering from surgery when he started to become addicted to medication. No one ever wants to be an addict but he has sought help. Aside from that I see a fired up owner who cares deeply about his team and the community and who donates tons of money to great causes.

  9. I sat in the endzone in 2009, flew down to Miami, stayed on my best friend's couch who was a student at the U, got 500 face value tickets through a friend at Ford for 900. My neighbor flew down and bought tickets day of in the parking lot for 700 not knowing if they were real or not. Best weekend of my life aside from the game. I spoke to some people who spent more in surcharges for tickets online that would have covered our flight.

  10. Pagano didn't coach in the first game against the Pats. And there were some 20 and 30 and 40 point losses in there for the Jets. It doesn't make sense to say that Rex Ryan would be a lock for a SB against the Pats. He lost to them plenty.

I can think of 2010 the Pats beat the Jets 45-3 at home in the regular season, albeit Jim Leonard broke his leg like the day before but wouldn't have changed the outcome. NYJ came back in the divisional round and just got to Brady, forced him to throw a pick early. Granted Sanchez actually played almost perfect with TD passes to LT and Holmes as well as one to Edwards dragging two defenders into the endzone with him. Minimal yards after catch and pulled out the W. They had a better run game but not a better team. Still, why not us?

  11. I agree but I am like you were last week with the Pats this week, I just don't see it happening in NE. No one wants to see us in the super bowl, no one . of course except for us Colt fans

I live in Connecticut, everyone I know is rooting for the Colts.

  12. Last year we were down by a TD, driving on the road to start the 4th quarter. Luck gets tripped by Ninkovich on a scramble and it's not called. Colts punt, and defense, exhausted from being out there all night finally gives up the big rushing TD then starts the throws trying to make up for it. Only difference now is Griff Whalen isn't our second WR, Coby Fleener isn't our first TE, Trent Richardson isn't our first RB. They did not have Gronk or Revis either. I'm praying we can get this monkey off our backs.

That being said, I see Luck as Eli, not in the sense he throws picks, but because of their ability to forget about them and move on. Peyton gets hurried, makes mistakes, never gets back into a groove. Luck threw three picks against KC last year when we were clawing back and he shrugged it off and got the job done the next time he was out there.

  13. Skip Bayless does it for attention. Its all about ratings. Everytime he says something dumb, it sparks a controversy, goes on youtube, forums, social media, sports websites and bam! ESPN has made a load of money from all their advertising.

Its simple, quit talking about skip and he will make less money and get less attention.

I honestly think a network like ESPN would want to not bring down the rest of the network like that. Shlereth just said he talks nonsense and it goes in one ear and out the other. Is there no one else that can fill that time slot with a respectable view like PTI or Around the Horn? To me they are bringing down the unbiased/good analysts for the sake of making a few extra bucks. You are already on top ESPN, why let someone bring yourself down to that level. A network as established as ESPN should not want to hurt the memory of Stuart Scott by letting Skip spew his ridiculous, and sometimes dangerous opinions (Manziel's "alcoholism") on the same network when the next Stuart Scott could be waiting in the wings.

  14. I don't have Twitter, but can somebody Tweet him and tell him to knock off the act already!  Everybody knows the show is a joke, and his opinion can't be taken seriously.  Not a hater, but some of the things he says have me SMH.  I have more logical opinions than Skip.  I know how to get under people's skin.  Can I join the set with Stephen A and Skip?  Keep them both in line, and make the show not as a "debate".  I understand nobody wants to hear everybody just agree on the same topic, but to come up with absurd statements, to get a reaction out of viewers isn't what sports analysis is about, it's not a reality TV show!

if you click his tweet and read everything underneath it, it's everyone telling him to Shut the F up. I follow him (for what reason I don't know) because it's comical to me.
