  1. I really enjoyed watching Mahomes and the chiefs play this year. Big part of this was bc Mahomes was my fantasy QB. In all the primetime games they lost Mahomes and Co. had them in the game and took some late 4th quarter leads. However one thing I noticed in those BIG primetime games that the Chiefs lost and something I hope Mahomes hasn't learned a lesson from is scoring to early to give them that late 4th quarter lead, leaving enough time on the clock for the other team to drive down the field and score. This here I could see being the difference in the game if its close come late in the 4th quarter. If he scores to quick or if he takes time off the game clock not allowing Luck and Co. enough time to put together a potential game winning drive.

I saw a comment asking if luck had ever played arrowhead.  I don’t know if it was supposed to sarcastic.

Lidtening to the bears game it is loud. Arrowhead is going to be just as loud or louder.

Luck has played in Arrowhead. It was the same year as the 38-10 comeback win a few weeks (2 I think) before the playoffs that year. I also think the Colts won that game.

Nate Burleson believed in the Colts even after they lost to the Jags (before they beat Houston in week 14), so I agree with you!

I was actually thinking about Kyle Brandt lol, but both Nate and Peter Schrager have also stated multiple time this year to watch out for the Colts too.

  4. We all know Skip loves to discredit Luck and the Colts regardless of the outcome. This is why I was literally shocked when after our win against Houston he said the Colts are a team he wouldn't want to mess with right now. He gave credit to our Oline, running game, receiving core, etc. Here it is, listen to the rare video from Skip Bayless.

I’ve been to Tennessee a few times for games.  In general, they’ve been respectful. I was in the lower bowl though.  The higher you go, the more rowdy things get but that’s usually the case with any stadium. But, be prepared, this will basically be a playoff game.  Much higher stakes with a later start (so more tailgating & intoxication).  I can definitely see some disrespect being thrown Colts’ fans way.  Especially if it starts going bad for them.  Here’s a tip I use (praise their overall team & how talented it is & say they’re only missing a QB.  They’ll usually reluctantly agree. They know how blessed we’ve been with Peyton & Luck.  Just be gracious & don’t rub it in.). :colts:

    haha thanks for the tip

Could make things interesting for sure. Same elbow he’s had issues with this season. Knocked him out of the Colts game too.

This is kinda bitter sweet. With Gabbert in at QB next week well that's not how I pictured the game being huge disadvantage to Tennessee. The main question is can Gabbert beat the Redskins?? I really want the Colts Titans game to be flex into the Sunday night slot next week as I have tickets and will be going to that game!!!

OK, so here we are with this Ebron thing and hope it can be put to bed.  Let me summarize for the forum the events of the past few weeks:

Somebody said that Ebron was an amazing signing and backed that up by citing TE stats.

Over several argumentative posts that started by someone quoting a comment I made, I said I didn't think it was amazing because he's a receiver, not a TE, so comparing him with TE stats was not really the correct bucket of measurement.

Then without directly acknowledging my correctness, comments over the past few days have begun to lump him in with receiver stats in an effort to validate the previous opinion that he's amazing.

I then said that the stats of other receivers are created by going against actual CBs, not knowing for sure how much Ebron actually does.  So putting him into the receiver bucket of stats isn't a true comparison either.  The NFL, or PFF, doesn't really have a big universe peer group bucket to put him in.

Then compare these points to the 30, 000 foot level concepts about offense.

Myself, Superman, and some others have for years claimed the old offense struggled at times due to scheme simplicity.  And that someone like McDaniels...or Reich....would implement a scheme that by its nature got receivers more open.

So we have an offense that schemes receivers open more.

We have a thread now that talks about possibly devoting a first round pick to a WR, with a bunch of comments saying that it isn't needed due to our scheme.

Despite the improper and unclear bucket to put him in, the entire change of offense for the expressed purpose of scheming receivers open, comments still make their stubbornly boneheaded point by the same members swooping in and trying to make condescending comments to me over the coarse of a week in different threads.

We changed HCs and offensive scheme for the express purpose to get receivers open.  Detroit has a different scheme (that probably relies more on talent).  Ebron doesn't belong in the TE stat bucket because of the other roles that other TEs do, nor the WR bucket because of who is assigned coverage of other WRs.  So make your points with those facts in mind, and do so without quoting me in a condescending fashion, and maybe the forum will be less argumentative.

So I am confused if he isn't a tight end but he isn't a WR where would I play him in my fantasy line up. ESPN has him listed at tight end only, cant play him as a wide receive, and in my PPR league I am not gonna play him in the flex over my three stud running backs. @DougDew WHERE DO I PLAY EBRON????

  9. I think we tend to do very well against big named running back. I do think Barkley and OBJ would pose more of a problem, no discredit towards Zeke but I am not a big Dak fan so I think we can take that one against the Cowboys. Also dont say the Titans game will be cold bc I'm gonna be at that game and I hate the cold lol. Also question for anyone who has been at Nissan Stadium, where do you like sitting/ in general when you go to games where do you like to sit? I still haven't got my ticket and trying to make that decision.

Last year he decapitated Joe Flacco....

If he did this to Luck you would change your mind

Ok ya that was bad. I do remember that play didn't know it was Alonso. I guess he has some clean plays and some dirty plays... idk like I said I dont follow the Dolphins like at all lol

I was more concerned when Alonso hit him on the slide.

Alonso is a dirty player......... And looked like Lucks head bounced of the turf a little

I am sorry  but Alonso is NOT a dirty player.. He plays the game hard and does things to go out of the way to avoid plays like the one he had today, his momentum just took him into that hit, but you can see him putting his arms back (dont know how that helped him avoid the hit tho). Last year Alonso carried a running back he caught in mid air versus slamming him into the ground  a to avoid a personal foul. I am not an avid Dolphins fan but I would bet there are more examples of plays like that from Alonso.

Both results help us and harm us in some way.

Titans win = one game back in division but 3 way tie for final WC

Texans win = Same deficit for division but only 2 way tie for final WC

Either result could help the colts. I think I’m rooting for TENN tho

The Colts hold the tie breaker for the wild card spot over the Titans bc of the win last week. So I am going for the Titans versus Texans so we can have an easier path to win the division.

I don't know. LVE has been a stud...and plays for "America's team." He has a great story as well. I am sure the NFL would love to give it to him.

Leonard has the sacks and FFs and LVE has the INTs and PDs. They are both very close in solo tackles...which is probably a better stat to measure a LB.

But I am not really sure it matters. Chubb is tracking the rookie record for sacks in a season. If he even ties it...he's going to win DROY. How could he not?

Here is a cool stat Khalil Mack and Leonard are the only two players with 5+ sacks, 4+ forced fumbles and INT this season

    • Thanks 1
  14. Darius Leonard Stat Line Tackles 104, 68 solo 36 assist, 5 sacks 4 pdef, 1INT, 4FF, 2FR

    LVE Stat Line Tackles 84, 65 solo 19 assist, 0 sacks, 8 pdef, 2INTs, 0FF, 0FR

Looking at Leonard's stats versus LVE I think Leonard has the step up on DROY. Leonard has more sacks and created more overall turnovers opportunity the LVE. LVE has him on pass defense but looking at the stat line Leonard has made more of an overall impact. One thing that the turnover stat line doesn't show is the timeliness of these turnovers. A lot of Leonard's FF/FR have sealed the game for the Colts or turned the momentum towards the colts favor when they needed a big stop on D.

The only way that happens is if the coach make the playoffs. The culture a small-market team won’t get much attention unless makes the national stage.

  16. I thought that the colts would play more cover 3 at the beginning of this season. Also when Wilson was drafted wasn't he supposed to be more of a press corner?? I too hate this soft zone  the colts play and wish we play more man but hey I'm not gonna change that. I do think we will get the players needed to get this D looking like how CB wants it to look it just takes time so I will be patient with it and see how this next draft/FA looks like.
