I just thought to myself, the Vikes GM reminds me of Ryan Grigson. I remember that in 2015 Grigson drafted a WR at 29 when the Colts had lots of needs on defense and OL. The WR he selected, Dorsett, was not rated as high by others. Then I remembered, Grigson is part of our front office. Could he be influencing these bad picks?

Thank you. That sounds positive. I read reports that he is "grabby". We had a CB in Trae Waynes who was described as grabby. He was often called for PI and other similar penalties (defensive holding, illegal touching, etc.) One Vikings fan reported that Blackmon is not rated among PFF's top ten CBs in the draft. I looked for PFF's rankings and confirmed that he is not among their top ten. Ringo and Clark Phillips are on the list and still undrafted. Looks like we could have drafted Blackmon later. I'm disappointed that we are not making good use of our draft picks. If a team has one selection in the first 86 picks, be sure to take a position of value that may not be available later. Or select BPA. I don't value the WR position the way others do. I think at some point, WRs will be viewed the way RBs are. I think OL, DL, and CB should be prioritized over WR. Early in the pre-draft period, I wanted the Vikes to draft him, but many fans thought he was too small. I think he is a tremendous player.

I can't remember who I wanted last year but I gave the new GM the benefit of the doubt. No one worked out. This year is the disappointment. 1) I am not pleased that we took a WR in the first, especially with so much talent on the board. 2) I wanted us to trade up for Hooker in the 2nd or 3rd. (He is injury-prone too but we would not need him to play this year.) 3) I liked CBs Banks and Branch who we had a chance to get. I liked Gonzalez better but we had no chance at him. 4) Lastly, we had a chance at Nolan Smith. That was my favorite player. I liked Downs a lot but OutWest63 told me he would not be a first round pick. I thought we may have had a chance at him. Anyway, let's see what happens tomorrow.

Thanks for the info. Why are we drafting injury-prone guys? Almost our whole draft class last year missed the season with injury. Addison has an injury history. And now this guy too? Smh I have to sleep this disappointment away.

Dantzler was cut and Patrick Peterson signed with the Steelers. Dantzler was signed by the Commanders.

I don't know him. His weaknesses are concerning. Ringo would have been better. Anyone know why he dropped? The last two drafts have been very underwhelming. I don't like drafting WRs, Safeties and RBs in the first round. Last year we drafted a safety, Cine, and this year Addison. The Browns did not have a 1st or 2nd round pick and have had a better draft than the Vikings.

Everyone I wanted got picked elsewhere. I liked Nolan Smith, Josh Downs, Drew Sanders, Hooker, Tippmann... All gone.
