Defense can’t close out a game
our dbs are making stroud looking like the best qb of the draft

They’re young and will improve. However Ballard should’ve gotten a vet
anything at all would be an improvement

This is the stuff Steichen has to change. You need to give max effort even with a big lead.

game is not over, stroud can score fast against our prevent defense
stroud looks great under pressure and his receivers are getting wide open. he can come back quickly

good ol cover 2. I can’t lie, I’d honestly do the same. Let them keep checking down and don’t let them beat you deep. Our problem is that our defensive backs are good and our linebackers are mediocre in pass coverage.so in this situation, cover 2 is the correct call defensively seeing as we’re up and also doubt stroud to beat us deep. But our defensive backs aren’t good enough to play it.
either risk being aggressive right now while the Texans are throwing and get beat deep, or play it safe with the cover 2, allow them to chew up clock, and keep everything in front of you.

brady had gronk too lol. and good defenses. And Wes welker. And more.
and don’t get it twisted, Brady would LAUNCH that ball if you gave it to him. Brady was great at taking what defense gave him. But if it was there and he had the player to go get it, he was going for it.
also, let’s not compare brady to minshew lol. What are we doing here?
did not compare them

He always has been. He's not a big play guy, but he's always been a very efficient passer. The dink and dunk game is his bread and butter.
just like brady

3 catches on 6 targets. I’m judging him from a WR1 perspective which is why I’m so hard on him. Those catches were needed, indeed. But 50% catch rate ain’t gonna cut it.id assume him and minshew are going to eat second half because checkdown Charlie is minshews name and that’s what MPJ excels at.
brady made it work for him

Some of the negativity around this team here is truly baffling, people out here are talking about the team tanking after Week 1
If this is what you expect from your team, front office and coaching groups, why even follow
I cant believe there is a poster on here who believes the colts are tanking. that poster must have never played competitive sports and fails to understand that players want to be great to make more money and players want to win more than anything. these players have self pride and would never look bad on purpose. this poster must have read one too many message boards and tweets.

This is in the case Moss can play and he plays decently (4 YPC). Having even a resemblance of a run game will help create opportunities for Richardson to take long shots, and utilize Pierce to his strengths.
pierce cant get separation, he is a jump ball receiver

Simms talks up the Texans
Colts/Texans at 24:35 minute mark
Colts (-1) at Texans
A pair of rookie quarterbacks meet for the first time ever. Anthony Richardson showed promise and potential for the Colts in Week 1. Simms believes in the Houston defense, however.
Florio: Colts, 24-21.
Simms: Texans, 20-17.
texans can sack the qb

New coaching staffs on both teams.
New rookie QBs on both teams.
I just think our Colts are a little bit farther along on re-tooling the roster than Houston is - at this point!!
That said - the Colts "TAME THE TEXANS" and get our first W of the season!!
we should be way ahead of the texans retooling after ballards 7 years of bringing in talent

everyone on the board been saying our line is decent according to pff
ranks 10th in run 15th in pass pro
but the eye test didn't look too hot to me, i mean better than last year but is that saying much?
nelson is not the same dominate talent and smith seems to have trouble with speed rushers

the texans pass rush will be a big test for our under achieving o-line
