  1. When you go to NE and virtually hand the Pats 21 points with a muffed catch, missed fg and interception all returned to TDs then no team is going to win. That's not to mention the dropped catches again! How many this season?! Not to say I expected a win but to go out fighting. It's hard to take being beaten in exactly the same way as before too, we knew the running game was coming. How we can be pretty good against the run most of the season and blow up twice against the Pats twice is beyond me.

  2. So after 2 seasons wiped out by serious injury what's the feeling on Vick Ballard moving forward? Will he be cut or with our well documented RB issues be given a shot next season after showing some promise in his rookie year?

  3. Werner didn't have a good game yesterday but some people are happy to jump all over some players. He's improved from his rookie year imo and I think it will be fairer to judge more the end of next season. He's had a lot to learn and adjust to from his college career.

  4. I can understand people's line of thinking regarding it being better for the Bengals that Green is out but the way I look at it if he was healthy would they play him?! Without a doubt yes so the Bengals must feel they are stronger with him and they should know! Btw on subject of thread, nice post you don't often see that here.

  5. In the last few seasons alone we have seen the need for a decent backup QB if the starter goes down. I seem to recall this being Hasselbecks last season before retirement so what do you think our plan is moving on from there? Do we go with free agency, if so who's available next year and willing to warm the bench or draft a QB who will be in a similar situation?

  6. When you have the interior line made up of two rookies and a 2nd year player then I think we're going to have plenty of hit and miss games from the o line. And experience is the only thing that will make that better. My personal opinion is getting Shipley back in at center for now and picking up an experienced one in off season. We need strength at RT too.

  7. Thornton has still been pretty hit and miss imo but I think he will still be starting at RG next season. AC and Mewhort (who has shown good potential in some games so far) are set to stay there I believe. If anything I can see us looking for a RT moving forward and Gosder is expensive and none too impressive this year. Center is anyones guess! My opinion is we should try free agency next year and make a run on someone.

  8. Although it's good to look at sometimes I tend not to take stats to heart as they can be misleading at times. The Texans are ranked below 20th in total yards allowed, total passing yards allowed and total rushing yards allowed yet ranked 4th in points allowed which is the most important thing as far as stats go.

  9. Brilliant post couldn't agree more. Just wish my phone would allow me to highlight a quote without looking like I've said it!

Really? We are going to re-live the keep Manning debate all over again. We couldn't afford both QBs & Manning has lost 2 SBs now so lets not create the false impression that 18 would have magically solved all our offense woes okay. Not only that Peyton's playing days following his neck surgery was very uncertain.

This sky is falling rhetoric & that Andrew Luck cannot lead INDY to the promiseland is complete nonsense & utter hogwash. You are certainly entitled to your opinion DEC, but SW1 does not abandon ship simply because 1 torpedo hit the darn hull.

Not only that, Andrew went to the Manning QB academy whatever he wanted to grasp from Peyton he already acquired there. In addition, holding a clip board is a lot like Driver's Ed from the backseat you don't learn a darn thing until you step behind the wheel & drive the franchise ferrari all by yourself. Translation: You learn best on the fly with live rounds in the NFL game gun.

  10. I'm pretty sure Luck has learnt more in 2 years starting than holding a clipboard for Manning for 2 years. And would we have produced anything better than 11-5 and playoffs these last few years with Manning under center? He's had a more talented roster in Denver and still not won a the big one!

The officiating was bad but it's not why we loss. We loss because the offense was inconsistent and kept the Eagles in the game. We should have kept Peyton and let Luck sit and learn for 3 years like Rodgers. Luck's decision making vs the blitz hasn't been good, he would have learned a lot under Manning. He's just not ready yet to lead this team, still a couple of years away.

  11. It would be a blow to any team losing a player like Mathis but like some others I can't understand the huge negativity on here. We just ran the top dogs of the AFC to within one score who boasts an elite qd, top oline and offense and a improved pass rush over last year. All without Mathis on the field. And with all due respect with teams to follow we're not going to face that level every week. We'll also know a lot more about Werner by the end of the season too who I won't write off after one season like some.Even before this I thought we were a few players short of challenging Denver and NE this year and this doesn't change that but I don't see us turning into a team with a top ten pick next year off the back of this.

  12. I feel you man, we unfortuantely have to wait till 8pm GMT.

I'm at college (sixth form) now, trying to do some work, then gym and then more work to keep distracted until 8.

For lunch ( may sound weird but trust me) beans on toast with cheese and a fried egg on top- thank me later.

Thats my favourite lunch! Infact got to hit the shops and stock up for it now. I'm on a day off work but feel like I'm wishing it away waiting for 8 to hit.
