Maybe it's worth getting someone who gives up some pressure just to get some decent run blocking In the OL.
-
Ya, they did and I don't get that either.
Harrison even had trouble with the snap count and getting the shotgun snap off the ground. [/

Can't say I completely understand what went on at center last season either but it's clear Shipley wasn't in the plan moving forward. I'm fine with moving forward with Holmes but would like to see a better back up than Harrison to support him.
-
That's a possibility but Holmes hasn't been the picture of health.
I think they're happy to use Harrison as backup. They picked him over Shipley last season.
-
Maybe the intention is to move forward with Holmes whatever and they're concerned keeping Shipley would cloud the issue as it did last season. They want a clean slate for Holmes.

Grigson rightly gets stick for some average fa signings to high contracts but doesn't get the credit for structuring them to make it easy to cut them with little pain.

Talk of a team relocating to LA has me thinking. Where do peoples loyalties lie here, is it with the Colts franchise or the city of Indianapolis? Would you still support the Colts if they relocated? It's not really an issue the we come across much here in England with football/soccer.
-
The Rams or Raiders will end up making the move I think. The Jags may be the ones to make the move if there ends up being a UK franchise.

The cherry being the Patriots themselves gave the nfl this video last week.
This witch hunt is embarrassing
Edit for link:
Maybe NE felt it would look better handing it over themselves than the investigation coming across it! Plausible denial again- he was just going to the toilet honestly they could claim!

Initial thoughts are I kind of feel sorry for Walker. It's a bit like being fired from a Nascar team for not doing well enough when they've given you a go kart to race in!
-
So if BB somehow got this right and the NFL investigation were to show the same should action still be taken or not? The Pats will claim they had no intention of breaking the rules and couldn't have foreseen this situation yet in many areas of sport (and legal cases) ignorance is not a justification. After all potentially they could have been using illegal balls for years if they have always prepped the same way for Brady and many more closer games than the Colts one could have depended on it.
-
So unless I'm misunderstanding isn't BB explanation implying that their footballs are inflated to under the specified pressure and then raised to the correct minimum level artificially?
-
So in a few days they've gone from having no idea how it happened to coming up with the answer through scientific means! So even if all that is true how many years have they played with potentially illegal balls!
-
There is no way Bill AND Brady do those pressers if the league had anything on them.
Schefy already reported that the league has not found any tampering proof. The deflated balls is not proof.
Do you agree that once the officials approve the balls they then become the responsibility of the team?
-
The league has not even spoken to Brady yet. Big flag right there.
Ian Rapoport is saying from his knowledge of league investigations it would be expected to speak to Brady last
-
Wonder if questions are going to be posed as to why league hasn't spoken to Brady about this yet if they're doing a comprehensive investigation! NFL can't afford to be seen to mishandle this situation, they haven't covered themselves in glory this year.
-
I'm pretty sure Brady isn't coming out with an explanation or taking responsibility! If he does then more questions need to be asked in light of his earlier comments on situation.
-
Maybe someone should give BB the advice Brady gave the Ravens. Read the rule book!! Or mayb that's a one way street for them.
-
I fail to see how it makes the situation better by claiming that other teams and players do the same and it's common place! If anything it dents the games reputation more. A rule is just that.
-
The saddest thing about this is that The Pats probably did it as a calculated risk knowing that even in the worse case scenario and they're caught out they'll lose draft picks and a fine which they'd more than happily accept for a SB appearance. It's a bit like giving a big F U to the league and daring them to do their worst!
-
So hilariously we have Brady to thank for being careless enough to throw that interception so this all come to light! Irony can be a funny thing!!
-
So after the officials check the balls they are given back to the home team and it becomes their responsibility? It will be interesting to see how this pans out from the officials side, without labelling anyone a lot comes down to their confidence in the fact they're happy the 12 balls they measured were all the correct weight when they approved them and why they seemed not to notice any pressure issues themselves game time if that's the case.
-
So help me out with this one. Do the officials not measure the pressure before the game begins? Also how come only Jackson noticed an issue if 11 balls weren't right?
-
We don't need to trade players worth something or probably shouldn't. That's why the thread begins with 'hypothetically'!
-
Hypothetically if the Colts wanted to gain more draft picks this year to bring in more new talent who do with have on the current roster you would trade and for what?

To be quite honest this whole legal tampering period is treated as a joke by teams! Until the league cracks down it always will be.
