He also had 2 turnovers against the 3-4 base.
Yeah, but one of those turnovers was a fumbled snap....which is completely unrelated to 3-4 vs. 4-3.
-
Tonight, he had an inteception, forced fumble, and 3 tackles (thru the middle of the 4th quarter).
He also had a sack on a safety blitz.
He's the only man in the NFL who can run down Devin Hester on a kickoff return going for a TD....
...as he's watching himself in the jumbotron. I seriously doubt that Giordano would have chased Hester down if Hester hadn't let up once he knew he was home free.

The real one concern people should really have is that our players were suppossedly so mad about the lack of respect and then they came out and got completely humiliated and proved everybodys point.
As one of my friends put it, "They need to go to the opposite of anger management."
-
Easy there, Mr. Peabody.

Tell that "next man up" to stay on the sidelines next week? He sucks!
So when we lose a starter, you want to just not fill his position and play with 10 guys on the field...and then 9....and then 8....etc....etc. Seriously? That's your solution?

It's a moot point. Peyton didn't play today, and he's not going to play for a while. What would have happened if he were playing does not matter at this point. All that matters is what they can do with the players that do play.

Manning is the heart and soul of the Colts. Reaffirmed it in my mind.
Was this ever in question?
-
Okay, we're starting to get a little offense going.
-
Can we pack up and go home yet?
Absolutely not. They need to get something positive going. Use it as a preseason game (against a team that is actually trying to win) and figure out how to not repeat this next week.

Collins SUCKS where is Brett Farve when u need him.
Catfishing? Or maybe noodling?

Jim Caldwell: "We're just not in synch."
I think the problems run a little deeper than that.

...the half can't come soon enough
I disagree. I want to see us put some points on the board before the half. Indy has nothing to lose at this point, so lets draw this game out and find a rhythm for the season.
-
we need some major changes in our game and personal philosophy!
What's wrong with my personal philosophy?!
-
Wow, 17 pts and the first quarter isn't even done yet
That's what happens when you turn the ball over twice in three plays inside your own 20.
Finding a rhythm for the season is more important than winning this game.
Agreed.

*sigh* Okay, you've hit your first rough stretch. How are you going to respond? Roll over and die or fight it out?
-
He never said a rookie, he said draft someone that can learn under peyton and he was not talking about this year, he was talking being prepared.
So draft someone.....but not a rookie?

IMO the should have kept the fines, and every single player that wore them, there fine would go directly to a 9/11 foundation. That way the NFL didn't give into pressure, AND are contributing significant amounts to victims and there families.
That's what I was thinking too. Fine them per the rules and then donate all fines collected to the medical fund for firefighters and other emergency response personnel that responded to the twin towers. It might not be as popular as caving to the pressure, but it would do a lot more good for the cause then just wearing star-spangled attire.

Of course, it doesn't help that the computer I'm watching it on just decided to auto-hibernate due to inactivity. Grrrrr.....
-
We'll try not to spoil it
Nah, don't worry about it. If I really don't want to know, I'll stop reading. It's just funny because you guys post something, and then a minute later I understand what you're talking about.
-
He tries to make himself sound like the greatest receiver ever..."I've been on many hands teams in that position..."
I'm watching this online and lagging sooooooooooooo far behind you guys.
-
Bet they wish they had those timeouts!!
Bet they wish they had that field goal...
-
not even sure why he tried to complete the pass
I'm sure as his receiver was diving for the ball he was thinking, "Don't you even think of catching that ball!!!"
-
At that point.....incomplete was a fantastic result for that play.
-
Did anyone tell these teams that they might need to play a little defense?
Doesn't this kind of have the feel of an Arena League game?
What Manning Thinks?
in Colts Football
Posted
In theory, drafting Luck (if the Colts are in position to do so) makes sense from the perspective of preparing for the post-Manning years. Having Luck sit behind Manning for a few years becoming acclimated to NFL football while Manning plays the final years of his career (and wins a few Super Bowls in the process) would be ideal. In practice, though, drafting Luck would be a major handicap on what is left of Manning's career. They just gave Manning a huge new contract. Then they draft Luck and have a #1 pick sitting on the bench? That is a lot of cap space to spend on a guy that will seldom see time on the field until Manning retires.....cap space that cannot be used to make the team around Manning the best that it can be for his final years. I like the idea in theory, but in practice it is almost akin to forfeiting the end of Manning's career.
You mean Seth MacFarlane?
So 1070 is sticking it to Polian for not coming to them with information more often by reporting that Manning is upset with Polian for going to them with information? Hmmmmmmm.......I wonder why Polian doesn't go to them with information more often......
