  1. Maybe......I dont know......we really need to change philosophy regarding drafting undersized guys, and put emphasis on running the ball to set up the pass with solid offensive line play, so I guess I have to say no to Tony's return.

  2. I think these arguments are a waste of time. I would not complain one bit with either of them. It's subjective, and I can't fault someone for saying one or the other.

If the question is Brady or Manning, the answer is "Yes, please."

In honor of some even keeled sense and the fact that this debate always spins out of control, well said Rex, I am moving on.

  3. Uh, you DO recall that the mediocre Patriots' defense helped the Patriots make it to the SB in '07, correct?

By the way, does BB play a position? He doesn't have ANYTHING to do with the offense, you guys DO know that, correct?

Brady doesn't practice with BB; he has a QB coach and he works with O'Brien, the OC. BB focuses on the defense.

Oh, but I forgot, BB does everything on the team.

    /sarcasm off.

You have been so dead wrong on your points you should stop now, you are not helping your favorite teams rep here.

  4. Love the Patriots fans rushing to the defense of Tommy B no matter how inconclusive their argument is......if the proof is in the pudding, then its as simple as this, Last year, with essentially the same roster and way MORE injuries, this team won the division, and was in position to win a playoff game(if not for special teams error) and this year, same roster, 0-6.

Puulllease pats fans, let it go. I know most of your rear ends are hurting with the red sox epic choke and all, but be serious. And if we had matt cassell, what in god's name would that change??

  5. Hindsight on Collins is 20/20. Very easy for us to be Monday morning QBs. What were they supposed to do? Collins was the only reasonable choice to bring in. As far as the Painter/12 game comment. I'd be shocked if Manning plays this year. What would be the point even if he could. Would be a STUPID move. The bigger question is IF Manning will ever play again.

Actually, Marc Bulger has better completion percentage carrer, has a quick realease, and was used to a pass happy offense like ours. I think he was the obvious choice, but like you said, hindsight is 20/20

  6. this theory is for Kids on the grade school playground.

We arent going to the playoffs, and even if we did by some miracle, what would be the point?? To get beat, get another hard schedule next year, and low draft picks?

This team is deficient in many areas, and doesnt deserve to be playoff team. I love the Horse, but its not our year.

  7. i think thats more of the colts fault... ive said alot that if the colts had spread the money more earlier on in peytons career it would be the colts being the dynasty not the pats... the colts in the early years of peytons career did nothing but spend early round draft picks on the offense... that in the long run sure wont help the defense... that itself puts ton of pressure on the QB to perform perfectly and keep the team running, and i think that pressure got to manning in the playoffs... hence why i think ppl said he had a monkey on his back.

True, but it still proves to a fact that Peyton covered those deficiencies. If you watch the Patriots play, Tom Brady gets 10 seconds most plays to stand back in the pocket, make a sandwich, and find an open reciever. Tom has had that luxury his whole career. When Tom does rarely get pressured, he looks bad, very bad. Peyton is statistically the best in history vs. the Blitz with less than 2 seconds to throw the ball. Peyton is the greatest, He stands next to Ali and they share a toast.

  8. This debate ended forever the moment the Colts fell apart without Peyton at the wheel.

If Peyton was playing, we would be 5-1

Hes not, and we are 0-6.

It doesnt have to be any more complicated then the fact that Peyton has forever covered so many deficiencies on offense(running game) and defense.

  9. First quarter fumble was huge. Gave them 7 points right out of the gate. I will not say welcome back dallas until I see him play 60 minutes of error free football like he should as a probowl TE. Wonderful TD catch, yes, but Garcon made some great catches too, and so many are quick to villify him for the dumb latteral attempt, the clark fumble was equally as damaging.

  10. um yeah, that's not a Freudian slip. Yes it was in his mind and he was pretty much straight up implying that you want him to fail, or at least are unwilling to give him any credit for success. He was making an implication. An example of a Freudian slip would be a friend asks you about your girlfriend, but when replying you call her by an ex-girlfriend's name. See link for more info below.

A Freudian slip, also called parapraxis, is an error in speech, memory, or physical action that is interpreted as occurring due to the interference of some unconscious ("dynamically repressed") wish, conflict, or train of thought. The concept is thus part of classical psychoanalysis.

By the way, train of thought seems to fit this example precisely. Nice try with the smart A-$-$ use of Let me google that for you though.

Incidentally, welcome to my ignore list. Have a nice life friend!

Thanks....I bet you love to comb the boards looking for things to correct. Despite however you want to define what he said, it was incorrect, as I never indicated that I want DB to fail, only that it seems like he was running harder than he ever has, and its likely related to him nearly being cut before the season. If that forever motivates him to fullfill that first round pick shoes, and helps the team, then fine. I take no joy in seeing any Colts player fail.

  12. X...so you think we should 'suck for Luck?

No, I dont think the Colts should, have, or will lose on purpose. It looks as if they wont have to, as I can only see a victory or two at best with the current defense and Manning out. The whole point of the luck discussion was a what "if" scenario that we have a chance to get him....the suck for luck thing is really just a joke, and that is the way I took it. You should try that my friend.

  13. Agreed so +1 for that AND for the Aldous Huxley quote in your sig...that's awesome. :)

And as I have already stated, Luck is absolutely not the ONLY "type A" QB in the coming draft. Some people may think he's the best and that's their opinion but to say or think he's the only QB in the coming draft that will be successful or is capable of being a quality franchise QB is laughable. And all of the prospects, INCLUDING Luck at this point can only be considered "capable".

    K we like Luck.

  14. This team has been good enough to win every wk except wk 1 sick of the bad officiating and imn even more sick of the snotty nosed bandwagon fans who were to good to wear the Colts gear back in the 80's!! Yeah thats right I dont feel sorry for our team because we have more talent now than any of our teams in the 80's and early 90's!! Theres no excuse except for laziness if we dont make the playoffs!! We have at least 3 future HOF players staring currently and the only ones doing squat are Wayne and Saturday!! Get your head outa your * Dallas Clark I know you can play!!!!!And for the people who sensor my freedom of speech on here keep the change numskulls.

lmao if you are going to call people NUMBSKULLS at least spell it right....otherwise you come off as a, well, you know.....but it starts with an "N" and ends with skulls. :)

  15. Rodgers was low 1st round pick, Ben R was a late teen pick, and Brady was a once in a lifetime luck out. These teams knew QB would be a need soon but I guarantee you they did not know they were getting what they got.

The draft is a crap shoot.

And of the teams mentioned above.... Outside of GB and NO STELLAR D, and a very solid RUNNING GAME won those teams rings. And that includes the Colts SB season..... our D was lights out in the playoffs.

Right, but as I have already stated they are all still type A QB's except for one. Gotta have another one after Manning is gone. Might not get this good of a chance again.
