Jags play us tough for the most part. Matt is old, and has no arm....we barely beat the Titans with Luck, sooooooooo
JAGs 17 Colts 9
Would like to see:
Grigson falls in love with the JAGs owner, and leaves us during halftime to join with them.
Pep, watching Grigs, turns green with envy and follows him across the field like a puppy with it's human.
An offensive line with a pulse
Free Churros for everyone in attendance at the game

That's all fine and dandy. But still doesn't excuse the fact that our GM and coaching staff is getting Luck battered. We're supposed to just sit back and wait till they get the line right or play calls that actually gets the ball out of Lucks hands fast. This is gone on to long. Luck is starting to regress with this crap coaching staff
Totally agree. Luck has been hit more than any other QB in the league the past four years and it has to stop. Not taking steps to build an offensive line that is even decent is criminal in my book. Coaches and GM should be held accountable for their dismal failure to even attempt to build a decent line. Or have they been trying, and just are really bad at evaluating talent? Either way....it's bad.

This is on Grigson and his inability to build an offensive live to give Luck the protection he needs and deserves. Way to go Grigs, hope you are happy. #dingleberry.

Patriots still find ways to adapt and win though. Their defense might not be as good. But they'll just score more points. They overcome thier weaknesses.
We do that too!!....uh, wait...nevermind, I thought you said we exploit our weaknesses.

Represent the AFC South maybe....win the AFC Championship? This year? HA!
-
You know me, I've been pushing for Pep to find a new home since day one...so I really have nothing positive to add in Pep's defense.
Hopefully they will see the light today, but I am not optimistic.

It's great that he is being a leader, a trait I admire....however, anyone capable of reasonable thought knows that the real culprit is a GM and coaching staff that are unable to provide him with the tools needed to be successful. Sure Luck has made mistakes, but he has been put in a situation where if he doesn't play at superstar levels all the time, he is destined to fail.

Pagano knows he's gone. The writing's on the wall, etc, etc.
Reminds me of the way that Jim Mora started talking when he knew he was on the way out too. "Playoffs?!?, don't talk about playoffs"...etc. The writing is on the wall.

Infinite number of "the sky is falling" threads. I'm going to stay away from them, and get on with my life. Yes, I'm disappointed, but I remember going 0-2 last year, and we came real close. Not worried. Not worried at all.
Yes, everything is awesome! (sorry, couldn't resist...but reality is just that.)

On a forum note.....Can we get a facepalm emoticon that doesn't look....well, like it looks?
-
Winning convincingly against the Titans would prove nothing though. If we beat the Panthers or Texans convincingly, then we'll talk.
Baby steps......but you are completely correct.
I find myself wondering if there is a top limit on the score board points...I guess we'll find out when we play NE. Stepping out on a limb, I predict it will be Colts 10 Patriots ∞

every team hangs those banners though. the patriot fans used that as ammo over the summer but they do the same thing if they lose in a conference final
I hear what you are saying, but just because every team does it doesn't change the premise. This "everyone gets a ribbon" mentality is a real problem in the U.S.
That being said, I won't comment further as this is supposed to be a football thread, not a "what is wrong with America" thread and I don't want to hijack it any more than necessary.
-
0-2 is definitely what I see them being right now, unless we wanted to include the preseason, in which they would be 1-5. For a prediction: 6-10 or 7-13 if we include preseason.
-
So making a Final 4 is losing to you? If your kid was racing against 32 other kids and came in 3rd or 4th you would say they are a loser? That is basically what your Post says. We were better than 28 other teams last season, that is not being a loser. That is called coming up short but being a winner for 95% of the season.
You don't celebrate being second. It is all or nothing in the NFL and in real life.

Dreaming about stepping in dog poop and then actually stepping in dog poop in front of 60,000 people.

We will win the AFC South by default, just like we did last year, due to lack of competition. We will then proceed to be creamed by every other decent team we play, and be an early exit from the playoffs.
This is based on my observations to date, they can and hopefully will change......if the Colts actually show up and play a game this year.
-
Since I can't say anything positive about the Colts based on what I've seen so far, I am declining to further comment.
Go Colts!

You guys remember the manning era? I do... And we could never beat SD.
Not quite true, we beat them occasionally. However, we did make a habit of losing to them even when we shouldn't have.

Bills are down by 7 points man. You're way early my friend, especially posting about a team that is in the Pats division.
They play them all the time and even though Ryan is a new coach with the Bills they are very used to playing against him
too. Secondly absolutely nothing is determined after 1 game so you're waaay ahead.
It is 24 to 13 when you posted, what game are you watching?
-
The game today doesn't necessarily say that the Colts can't get to the Pats level. I think the biggest thing that stands out in this game is all of the Bills flags. Last week they were negated by all of the Colts flags. The Bills look like the Colts last week. They lost momentum when the flags gave them bad field goal position which in return gave the Pats good field goal position. The Colts couldn't recover but the Bills can after that stop on fourth down.
I think the Colts have the ability to play at the Pats level, but they consistently don't. If they want to be a championship team, they need to play like champions week in and week out. We've made a habit of starting slow, making stupid mistakes, and losing big to quality opponents.
I'd love to see them play at the caliber they are capable of, but they need to prove it to me, and themselves that they are able to do so. They certainly did NOTHING in week one to indicate that they are better than last year.

So far it appears that NE is taking care of business against Buffalo rather handily. Granted the game is not over yet, but the indications are that we (the Colts) are indeed very far behind the Patriots.....still.
Monday will be a good indicator on the kind of success we will either have or won't. Back in the Manning days, I pretty much assumed every game was a win. I miss that.
If this year's version of the Colts wants to make any noise beyond the AFC South, they'd better get the heads out of their you now what, and play some quality football. That means being prepared to play (coaches) and minimizing mistakes (Dorsett and company) and starting quickly (Luck and company).
Now, get to it.

Congrats Bills! Apparently you did something that is very difficult to do in the NFL, you won the game! On a related note, why is it so difficult to win an NFL, as Pags tells us after every loss, but yet the opponents that the Colts face, whom of which have a pulse, seem to have no difficulty winning against us?

Stepping in a big pile of dog poo on your way to work, that's worse.

If Pep Hamilton is retained and made a head coach, I am done with the Colts.
Gore is NOT a Red Zone RB...

Well, he's fumbled twice in the red zone in four games....but otherwise, he's great. He also dropped a bunch of passes, but who's counting. He's still leaps and bounds better than Trent though.
