  1. i wont be surprised if we win out the season. the team overall looks better than it did opening the season and i think things are finally getting better for the most part, with the obvious needs hopefully being addressed next offseason. i also wont be surprised if our season continues the way it has lol.

I loved Garcon when he was here. He would be a fine addition to this team. At the right price of course. He is grossly overpaid in Washington. Big strong targets ala Kelvin Benjamen, Mike Evans, Alshon Jeffrey etc. have become staples in NFL offenses these days, just curious as to why the Colts never seem to have any of these types of players on their radar either through the draft or free agency.

to grigsons credit (although not much credit), i think he was aiming for that with heyward bey, nicks, and andre

Of course not but i can see the issues and to be honest i would have likely made the same calls on fourths down *maybe not plays but still* and i feel like the Majority of us would have as well. He coaches us into a position to take advantage but we dont always have the talent to grab it.

Exactly. Ain't really his fault if the execution of the play was not sufficient.  He can only help so much as far as preparation in practices and focus go

Ya but he outplayed Tolzien by a mile in preseason I hope if Tolzien is horrible we go to morris in this game. I hope like I said if tolzien sucks like I think he is going to then I really hope the coaches have the common sense to go with morris.

    Agreed.

Can't disagree. I don't expect them to start Morris. He looks better than Tolzien by the eye-test IMO though. I think he would give us a better chance to win tomorrow night than Tolzien. Not that our chances are good with either of them.

Trust me I agree 1000% that's just how the coaches see it unfortunately. Hoping I get surprised by tolzien tomorrow, and on the Brighton side this is a chance for us to see if he can be a long term serviceable backup

  6. While I liked Morris way more in preseason, it makes most sense for the coaches to go with a vet that has had more reps with guys. Morris has shown flashes of high ceiling potential, but his floor is also very low based purely off NFL experience

I know the exact play. I remember thinking Luck hit his head really hard on the ground. Derrick Morgan sacked Luck and he came backwards on his back and Luck smacked the back of his head against the ground. Could very well be the play.

Was thinking of the same play

But why have we been using McNary? He is bad.. I dont think Edwin really played vs the Packers.

agreed, i think they were starting him after moore was cut because of his experience with the team, but eventually realized it was an awful idea lol

PFF says he's the most underutilized colt. Why?

Could be because we've been using mcnary the majority of the season until the titans game where Edwin finally got decent field time. Not sure of his snap count vs packers though considering geathers was at ILB

Are the Titans that good like we seen yesterday?

its really strange because i didnt think so. sure the offense has potential to go off like that, but the packers came out gassed and lacking focus/energy, something us colts fans have witnessed from our team too. i think we can win against them, as long as we play the same or better as last game against them.

i also notice that the packers offense has been strange. aaron rodgers is scrambling on every snap, even when he doesnt need to. almost as if he is more concerned with avoiding the sack than making a play. idk, havent watched much of him this year but something ive picked up on.

What scares me is how we approach the game with a lead with less than 10 minutes to go in the 4th. We drop to the floor and curl up in the corner in the fetal position trying to wait for the clock to run out. We lose any sense of urgency on either side of the ball and it's like a Marshawn Lynch Super Bowl press conference: We're just here so the clock runs down.

This is what's been annoying me all season, knowing how to keep the lead and how much foot to keep on the gas

  12. 1. draft 3 LBs, secondary, and RB.  pass rush is going to help the defense entirely.  a RB can be addressed in the draft as well, although I personally think turbin could do a good job given the opportunities.  i think the rest of the team has a good foundation of players.

2.develop a short pass game like we saw against the titans as a good chunk of the offensive gameplan, using our WRs speed as advantages. develop better 3rd down conversion plays, which seems to have gone from one of our strengths in 2012-2013 (thanks reggie) to one of our biggest offensive weaknesses. idk the stats, but i remember luck being great at 3rd down conversions, especially the crazy 10+ yard ones where were backed up. continue to run when the hand is hot, which weve failed to do many times when gore was running very effectively.

    3. having luck be more vocal and hold players accountable, hes awesome and i love him, he just takes the blame for almost everything, which is also great, but i want to see him fired up and pump the team up (saw the mic'd up against chiefs, noticed that he WAS being vocal to the offense, but seemed like everyone else was just standing around with blank emotion, it was weird).  its unfair to put that on him as a player, but it was one of my favorite things of peyton in that he pretty much demanded perfection and flawless play by the entire offense, which made everyone very disciplined.  i honestly only remember tony ugoh (lol) not being disciplined when manning was at helm in dungy era.

4.maybe having someone not named pagano coaching any longer. idk what it is, but something in that locking room or drawing board isnt working. we see it week after week, and its very strange.  its almost as if we wing it every week with no gameplan or preparation specific to the opponent. strategic gameplanning is why i love this game and why i loved peyton, so this is something that i hate seeing now. the players also play with a huge luck of energy or effort, it seems at times. i dont mean to sound pessimistic, but its really weird, theres no unity or chemistry with the team. even though the chiefs game was over, did anyone else realize that complete collapse of the OL like the last drive of the game lol, it was insane to see them literally give up. i cant wrap my head around it and have given pagano the benefit of the doubt plenty of times. i was more critical of grigson last year, but its reversed this year.

im of the opinion that for the most part, the team has adequate talent, and if not, theres potential.  exceptions are at LB hence point#1.  i think most of our LBs are free agents at the end of the year, and maybe would resign erik walden whos been one of our better D players for some time.  wouldnt mind mathis and dqwell maybe resign for a cheap price (dont see other teams grabbing him) and be backup/situational, but would rather prioritize the younger players to get game reps for experience to see what were working with. love what i see in edwin jackson, morrison ill be patient with. mcnary needs to go yesterday, cole too, im pretty much happy/patient with everyone else.

I was very proud of that team that day. Overcoming losing your coach for a while and being able to do that.

This video makes me miss Reggie Wayne so much :(

Watching that video made me realize how underrated he is outside of colts fans, dude was a master of splitting the defense with his route running, all so natural and with ease

  14. Absolutely not. If you know anything of norv turner, he's very square peg/round hole gameplay philosophy, not to mention his philosophy is outdated and doesn't adjust based on personnel. Sound familiar? That being said, this would be stupid to do.

If if you have any doubts, just go to the Vikings board or reddit where you can see the fans thoughts on him as OC... it's not pretty, at all
